The point about if it should be rolled back or not is moot. It's brought division and caused us to lose people as much as it's maybe people who want to make thematically cool builds happy. It's helped bring people into mid tier raiding, what I think is the largest tier but it has also helped us to lose veterans who's game knowledge and raid experience including raid leading is a detrimental loss. These are the facts. There's no going back now, we play the hand we're dealt. We can make hate threads or glaze threads but it becomes what do we do about it. How do we fix it so many people are happy.

It's got nothing to do with like or not. Subclassing killed build diversity and any real differences between classes and not to mention the classes and skills that were nerfed just to try and make it work.

We used to have unique playstyles for each class with both Stamina and Magicka builds in the game, now there's Fatecarver.

Unless you are looking to get on the leader boards you can still use just about any character build you wish. PvP you need to put more effort into a top tier build but that has always been the case and there has never been a large amount of diversity in those top builds. Subclassing didn't cause the issue with diversity.

TL:DR Oakensoul is bad even on 1 bar builds and even on solo builds because the buffs it provides are all either useless or easily sourced. Even if you never switch bars and keep your back bar completely empty you're better off using something like Velothi/a monster set (for group content), Rakkhat (for HA builds), or Pale Order (for solo builds).

Not to mention that playing a werewolf will give you way more dps than any oakensoul build you can come up with while still keeping it a 1 bar. You don't even need to track ultimate in this case.

I appreciate Nick taking the time to post a direct and honest message. The apology is welcome, and the 8,000 Seals of Endeavor is a generous gesture for the community as a whole.

That said, I think the Writhing Wall situation highlights some wider concerns that many of us have had for quite a while now.

The state of the event strongly suggests ongoing QA issues and, more importantly, that PTS feedback isn’t being incorporated as effectively as it could be.

This wasn’t a minor issue or two — this was an entire multi-phase feature in a highly promoted “once-in-a-lifetime” event that simply wasn’t ready. Multiple major bugs, repeated blocking issues, and whole mechanics being removed mid-event speak to underlying process problems, not just bad luck.

And while the 8,000 Seals are appreciated, I do think there’s an unanswered question here around players who bought the 2025 Season Pass, since they were the most invested and the most affected. Those players paid extra specifically for this content and got the roughest version of it. It would help morale tremendously if ZOS could clarify whether there’s any form of make-good planned for those customers beyond the universally offered Seals.

A second point I hope ZOS will address is the value proposition of this year’s content.

The 2024–25 cycle delivered:
1. a noticeably smaller zone
2. fewer quests and gameplay hours than any recent chapter
3. and a headline event that launched in a broken state.

All of this came at a higher price than previous years.

I think it’s fair for players to ask: How does ZOS plan to restore player confidence and ensure that next year’s content justifies its cost?

Speaking personally, I enjoy ESO and want it to succeed — we all do, or we wouldn’t be here giving feedback after 10+ years. But events like this shake trust, and it would go a long way to hear more about:
A) what internal changes are being made
B ) how PTS feedback will be used more effectively
C) and how future annual content will meet (or exceed) the quality bar players have come to expect

I appreciate the communication, and I hope this is the start of a more open and transparent dialogue.

The very concept of appreciating anything gets certain people riled up, you can even lead with “Hope everyone’s having a great day” and those individuals will still show up to try to derail the topic rather than skipping past it.

They have to save the 8,000 they're giving away in December somewhere.

The crafting daily when it's about cooking basically exclusively asks for West Weald Corn Chowder. That's why probably the guild trading prices are currently so high despite it being a green quality recipe considering that it cannot be bought at npc traders afaik.

Seriously, ZOS? You want the Stirk Fellowship be fed by this meal alone? I predict severe malnutrition and lack of essentials with this unbalanced diet.

From the context I have seen, it looks like Mannimarco was trying to become a god again in Solstice. Previously, he was being punished by Molag Bal for trying to usurp him the last time with the Amulet of Kings, but now the Worm Cult allied themselves with Molag Bal's daedra again.

1. Did the Worm Cult resurrect Mannimarco while he was being tortured by Molag Bal in Heart's Grief (or hunted assuming you freed him)?
2. Was Mannimarco going to betray Molag Bal again and was only using Coldharbour's forces to further his own goals?
3. Why were the Worm Cultists and Daedra ok with working with each other? Were the cultists and the daedra aware that Mannimarco had betrayed Molag Bal?
4. Is Molag Bal aware that Mannimarco is trying to make himself a god, but is he ok with it as long as Mannimarco a servant?

I was surprised to discover how easy it is to fall a short distance to your death while exploring around the boundaries of the cottage's exterior environment.

I have one house with fully attuned Grand Crafting stations.
If I bought more of the Grand Crafting stations for more of my homes, they should be attuned to the same spec's as my fully attuned one.
We should not have to start from scratch.
