Crossplay needs to be looked at more seriously for the health of ESO

ESO has a wealth of content for new players but the lack of Crossplay fracturing the player base between three platforms and US and EU and then the base game still being paid instead of free prevents the game from growing beyond where it's at right now.

The success model for online multiplayer looter games going forward has shown to be free to play and ESO could still add themselves to that mix if they had the leadership team get on board.

    Holy Necro threads. Lol!
We still have the elephant in the room to consider.
Are you willing to change the name of 2,3,5 or more of your characters because the name is taken by someone on another platform?
Are you ready to disband your guild(s) and restart them from scratch with a new name because that one is taken?
If we did get cross platform and it happens mid week, do we lose our guild trader and do we get reimbursed our gold?
If add ons are taken away to accommodate consoles, will that lead to a mass exodus of many PC players?
Who gets priority to aspects of changes? Will those who have been playing ESO since before consoles were added have first priority to names and such?

There are a lot more variables to consider. It not as easy as just flipping a switch and bam, we have cross platform.
If ESO had been set up that way from the first, that would be different, but it was set up for PC, and consoles were added later.
    Just my 2 septims. Huzzah!

I think if the platform were added to the name like (PS) or (XB), (PC) it wouldn't matter if people or guilds had the same name.

As Throne and Liberty and New World MMO's both get ready for launches this coming month on PlayStation and Xbox with both games being full Crossplay I hope that ZOS devs are striving to find a way to make Crossplay a reality for ESO.

Crossplay would make ESO such a better game. Cyrodiil servers would finally be fully populated the majority of the day, there would be way more active Trials groups, the in-game economy would be infinitely larger and healthier once prices between platforms adjusted, and you'd finally be able to change platforms if you want and it would bring back a lot of players that already changed platforms but didn't want to invest the time and money in completely starting over again in ESO.

Been playing Throne and Liberty, and man!

When Early Access ends, expect to see a lot of people leaving ESO to start playing that, especially the PvP population.
