We still have the elephant in the room to consider.
Are you willing to change the name of 2,3,5 or more of your characters because the name is taken by someone on another platform?
Are you ready to disband your guild(s) and restart them from scratch with a new name because that one is taken?
If we did get cross platform and it happens mid week, do we lose our guild trader and do we get reimbursed our gold?
If add ons are taken away to accommodate consoles, will that lead to a mass exodus of many PC players?
Who gets priority to aspects of changes? Will those who have been playing ESO since before consoles were added have first priority to names and such?
There are a lot more variables to consider. It not as easy as just flipping a switch and bam, we have cross platform.
If ESO had been set up that way from the first, that would be different, but it was set up for PC, and consoles were added later.
Just my 2 septims. Huzzah!

Crossplay would make ESO such a better game. Cyrodiil servers would finally be fully populated the majority of the day, there would be way more active Trials groups, the in-game economy would be infinitely larger and healthier once prices between platforms adjusted, and you'd finally be able to change platforms if you want and it would bring back a lot of players that already changed platforms but didn't want to invest the time and money in completely starting over again in ESO.
