One obvious route to do this is via the Morrowind quest line (assuming an Item CP cap increase happens).
Have certain quests reward an Item Upgrade Token, that allows a CP160 Item to be upgraded to a CP170, or CP180 item.
You must not have a lot of gear.
Last I checked we can only wear on full set of armour, carry up to two weapons (4 if you bar swap between two x dual wield) and wear three bits of jewelry.
So a full set of gear comprises up to 14 pieces.
If you CHOOSE to want more than that the onus is on you to put in the extra work to keep your gear up to par.
Don't whine about a secondary or tertiary gear-grind you CHOSE.

In english:Once again: Details will be published when we have them.
Everyone here is aware of how hard it is to get those weapons in the perfect trait and how many golden tempers have to be used.
In case we were to increase the gearcap, it would not happen thoughtless, to make all your efforts meaningless.
One Tamriel applies to whole Tamriel, including Vvardenfell. Monsters have the same level everywhere, players are being adjustet accordingly.
So bottom line: A new gearcap will be happening, they just don't want to kill the mood right now
That´s a very wierd conclusion to make. He doesn´t say that gearcap will increase. Note "IN CASE WE WERE TO RAISE GEARCAP". This isn´t the same thing as "we will raise gearcap".

Gear cap rises come to any MMO, it's the way of things but for those of us who have just sorted out our gear and builds, only to have to go through the whole process again, it can very disheartening. Not to mention expensive.

Especially if they keep the cost ratio the same. i.e. CP150 Sword = 15 Ingots to create vs. CP160 Sword = 150 Ingots to create.

Please make a 6 month early warning (at least) if you intend to raise gear cap. Grinding gear in ESO is a horrible experience.
They don't plan to raise the gear cap in Morrowind, it might be raised at an later time like in 2 year with the Elsweir expansion if they feel for it.psychotic13 wrote: »ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »To clarify, we do not plan on raising the gear cap when Morrowind launches in June. Hmm so you do intend to raise the gear cap, just not yet? i wish you could just give us a straight forward answer.

I hope ZOS will finally realize that this is important. People spend a LOT of time & recesses to get all of those CP160 set gear.
If they are going to increase the gear level cap - the best way to do this is to automatically convert all current CP160 gear to "higher" level cap. The players will not lose their progress & time & resources. And we will have higher level gear. Everybody is happy.
btw. I was going to grind some group dungeon sets today, but until there will be some official ZOS statement I will basically stop grinding gear and just wait.

Thanks for the clarification.
But does that mean we are getting an increase for sure at some point? Or did you mean "if we plan to raise the cap".
