I got cursed feathers and a horned owl feather today in the same skull so it is a coincidence but I don't blame you for having that thought process because I had the same idea with lead drops in a similar fashion.

OK, so it can happen. You didn’t just get enough cursed feathers to complete that quest when you opened that golden skull then, I assume you are saying.

I’m still going to just get gold boxes from the usual sources instead of the crow and Hollowjack bosses tomorrow and see what I get.

Sitting at 5 feathers. Yesterday I got two Possessed Shreds or how these were called from my golden skulls. These drops should have been feathers. New stuff really should get priority over fragments and collectables from previous events.

Due to the rarity and time limit, I just bought the feathers. Better safe than sorry.

The rng is really really weird. I am at 8 feathers, two more to go.

(I am not doing the arenas but the rest and I am as of now at about 34-35 golden skulls if not more)

Currently at 5 myself. Got another of the style pages and found a very cheap 10k legs motif in a guild store. So have 3 out of the 7 of that. At this point if you still don't mind the daily grind for the gold skulls there is still about 9 days left in the event and they do drop just extremely rarely so there's still time. However if you have other plans or find the grind to be too tedious then I would go ahead and buy them outright. I've been contemplating the feathers for awhile since I have enough tickets to get them but I really don't want to waste them since there is still time in the event. Saying all this though I agree with everyone and think the old stuff should of have been regulated to the purple skulls only and the gold ones having a 50-70% at the new stuff.

Specific Dremora motifs drop from specific skulls. That means that the easiest skulls' Dremora motifs are a dime a dozen, but then the skulls that most people don't go for are relatively pricey.

People tend to skip the Trial and Arena skulls, so that means that those Dremora motifs (Chest, Bow, Leg, Sword) tend to be worth something, while the other ten are super cheap and everyone gets them.

I've only gotten 3 feathers so far and will be purchasing the rest, unless I get lucky from the ticket skull I get each day. Thankfully there's time to finish the house's collection during New Life, I just want my stupid owl since it'd suit a housing project...

ZoS, for the love of the divines, PLEASE put the damn old stuff in grab bags, or at least only in the purple skulls.

But you could at least keep trying for as long as you had the time and will power. This event, you are limited to, at best, 10 skulls a day. And there are 7 style pages + 10 horned owl fragments needed. That's 17 days alone, if you get one per day of one of them (and no dupes of style pages or can trade).

It is entirely possible to get all ten horned owl feathers and all seven style pages from this event (because the horned owl feathers can drop multiple in a day in addition to the new style pages). So hopefully your RNG will improve over the course of the next 9 days!

For me personally, four days in, I've gotten four pages of the new style (only one of which was a duplicate) and five horned owl feathers (four of these horned owl feathers dropped in one day, one each from a golden plunder skull). I have also gotten two possessed shreds (so now have the netch ghost pet which RNG robbed me of last year). I am only doing seven out of the ten golden plunder skulls daily.

This is how the RNG should be working for everyone who is participating to the same level as I am. There should be no, "I got everything in one day from Lord Hollowjack in a super rare bundle drop". There should be no, "I've been doing ten golden plunder skulls a day and gotten nothing". Everyone by now, who's done at least more than half the golden plunder skulls daily, should have gotten two or three owl feathers, four new style pages, perhaps something else such as the new runebox memento, a possessed shred, the Hollowjack bust etc.

No-one four days in, with more or less the same level of participation that I've had, should have everything, while another has nothing.

There is an expectation, that if a player participates daily in an event, and thus obtains most of the loot boxes available during said event, that they should, by the end of the event, have obtained all of the rewards that were made available during the event.

Participation should be rewarded, not punished.

Having said all that, there are at least two more events coming up before the end of the year. So there is plenty of event tickets to be had to get all the keys for the new house at future events (you could get all five of them during the New Life Festival alone). So you could use your tickets for this event to buy some of the horned owl feathers or new style pages from the impresario. I am hoping that prices for items from this event will drop in price on guild traders (at least for the style pages if not the horned owl feathers) also so you could buy up what you didn't get with your event tickets, with in-game gold instead.

I've bought one of the keys already but will now be keeping the rest of my event tickets so I can use them to buy more horned owl feathers (when my RNG luck inevitably goes down the drain) just so I can get the pet and the achievement.

Yes, which means that people will grind each box type every day during the event. At the end of the event, they will probably spend up to 20 Event Tickets to get the ones they did not get from grinding.

I have 1 owl feather across multiple accounts. I think. I am not keeping track, but I saw one and I am pretty sure it takes up inventory space. Like other detritus from Events that clogs inventory and bank space, next week any hanging around need to be deleted. If ZOS wants to make low RNG stuff that has to be resumed the following year, these feathers shouldn't take up inventory space.

My main account has 8 feathers would have had 9 but donated one to my second account which was lagging with only 3 feathers, the donation made 4 which is equal with my third account. Hopefully the main account keeps getting feathers after they have their owl, because I am fast getting sick of chasing gold plunder skulls. But I swear one of those feathers came from a purple plunder skull, main account got 5 in one day, I had already opened all the gold ones for 4 feathers and then later another turned up.

With the woeful drop for the new style pages, it will take all three accounts and probably some tickets to get them all for just one account. I keep getting all the old style pages, on the rare occasion I get a style page. : (

Yeah, I’ve been doing 8 golden skulls a day (minus one day that I only did 6). I have two total feathers, no style pages, and no netch fragments. (Technically I have one because I bought it from a trader last night). But I have 7 maps, probably 2 dozen dremora motifs, another 2 dozen witches writs, and probably at least a dozen Glenmoril style pages that I’ve donated to guild banks. Even have almost a full collection of Crowborne style pages as well. Probably will destroy the maps because I don’t want to dig them up and you can’t deposit those in guild banks.

And I can’t even buy the possessed shreds with tickets if I wanted. The netch apparently exists in the grab bags, but if you want the related achievement you need the fragments.

The newer content is fun, but the rewards are…unrewarding.

My theory is that the owl feather drop rate wills tart really low early on in the event, but will slowly improve as the event goes on. I only have 3 right now, but I know someone who got 9 feathers out of 3 skulls, which was ridiculously lucky!

But as far as skull farming goes, I'm doing dolmen, delve, public dungeon, world boss, random normal dungeon, archive to arc 1, and the Hollowjerk and Crow.

15 Gold boxes, maybe around the same number of purple (not farming em lol), and I've gotten 3 Feathers. I think only one was from Gold boxes.

Also, I got 2 of those Feathers on the same day, so it doesn't look like it's limited to one per day. Then again, I save all my Boxes to open after I'm done getting them; are the contents of boxes determined when you get them, or when you open them? Either way if it was limited to one per day, you'd only be able to get one regardless of when the game determines the contents of any given box.

It is the costume that is probably driving them to make the drop rate extra small.

Well last night after the server came back up, all three of my accounts managed to get a new style page and a feather each, all from the two event gold plunder skulls. So something seems to have improved for my RNG

Yeah this is pretty much what I've been doing, but I'm getting really tired of the grind because most of the rewards are crap. I think that I don't need another pet and will sell the ones that I have gotten.

This event has been a major disappointment... :-(

Im guessing theyll be around 50k at the end in EUPC. Prices might hike again after the event though.
