What would you like to see from 2025's Companions?

We have just been shown 2024's Companions, Zerith the Necromancer Khajiit and Tanlorin the Dragonknight Altmer. I'm personally extremely excited to meet these Companions in-game! Though, not everybody shares the same enthusiasm.

What would you like to see from the two Companions coming next year in 2025? We know that repeated Companion Classes and Races are not off the table.

Personally, I'd like to see the introduction of the Werewolf and Vampire skill lines for Companions. More specifically, I'd love to have a genuine Werewolf Companion who transforms with me. What are your thoughts?

Two of the remaining races instead of even more doubles. No matter how much I'd personally love to get a male Dunmer or male Altmer, fairness seems more important to me.

One fully customizable companion. Race, class and everything. Story wise they can give something generic for whatever we choose as race and gender.

I don't need any more companions. Out of the six I already have, I really only use two. I'll get the two new ones because I have ESO+, and I'll do their quests and level them to get their passive perks, but otherwise they'll collect dust. I don't like khajits (so I won't want to use that companion), and for reasons I won't state here, I'm not interested in using the altmer.

But since ZOS will continue to add more, I don't want any repeat races. And I'd love a warden companion that uses the bear.

I'd also like at least one female companion added, since we didn't get a female one this time. So now we're down one female.

I agree.

I *really* want a male Altmer, but we still haven't seen some of the races yet.

Alternatively, I would LOVE to have a customizable companion, with maybe a generic storyline (basically one that could fit pretty much any race/gender/class you pick). That way people can make the new companion what they want.

Come out with three next year, because this double race hit just feels spiteful to people waiting on nord, orc, and bosmer companions.

Because one of them is now going to wait two years at least otherwise.

i hope at least one of them is a bosmer, nord, or orsimer.
i would love to see a second argonian in case we get another repeated race in 2025.

I don't have other hopes for 2025's companions.

oh and i like that Tanlorin and Zerith are not in the chapter so that their quests are not tied to the chapter in any way.
it is especially nice if zos continues to not add zones in q4.

Tanlorin seems decent but I'm so disappointed we got another khajiit. I'm extra sad because I was really excited for a necromancer, and khajiit is literally my last choice of the ten races that I'd want for a necromancer. I am really not into that combo thematically. Altmer, bosmer, orc, nord necromancer all would've been so much cooler to me. Gosh I'm sad lol.

Not repeating a race was honestly something I felt so confident the devs weren't going to do.

A bosmer spinner inspired warden and a grey host cursed Nord, his/her quest line involves helping them master/ heal the curse so that at the end they choose werewolf, vampire or mundane.

I would pay cash money for a build your own companion option. It doesn't need a back story, dialog, or perk. Just let me use the character creator to make one just as if I was making a new toon.

I would prefer a more balanced approach. For example, it will be over 3 years before they introduce another female character, after the High Isle chapter which gave us two. Others have pointed out we havn't gotten a Bosmer or Nord. Try to be more balanced in your approach please. And could you avoid creating companions who chew us out for playing the game. I posted this in the thread they shut down:

"I also wish we could create our own companion some day. I have yet to find one that meshes with my characters. For example, I could enjoy Mirri's treasure hunting theme, but I spend a lot of time harvesting, so every time she chides me for collecting a butterfly, I feel obligated to choose a different companion. I give up on finding one I like, or who likes me."

I'd like a female Orc Sorcerer/Templar, and a male Bosmer Arcanist/Warden.

Please, for the love of the Divines, please don't give us a female Bosmer Companion. I cannot take anymore of that character archetype if they are written in a similar fashion as Eveli Sharp-Arrow or Little-Leaf or Erilthel. Too many cheerful, high-energy, Bosmer ladies really get on my nerves. Or, if we must have a Bosmer lady, please give her a different personality than all the others!

In the same vein, I'd love it if we could use our other toons as the basis for versions of them as companions.

More traditionally, why did we get another cat? Pls give us a burly, non-binary orc, a svelte female woodelf and a dumb nord drinking companion, make him as cliched as possible.

I think any of the three remaining races (Orc, Nord, and Bosmer) would make great Werewolf Companions, due to the Player equivalent of those races getting bonuses to their physical ability. There's also plenty of examples of Orc, Nord, and Bosmer werewolves in the game.

If we happen to get another repeated race, I'd find it interesting to get a Werewolf Breton, possibly hailing from somewhere in Glenumbra.

An actual evil companion, not morally grey, not a typically evil class being subverted, but a straight up, cackling mad, worm cultist.

There needs to be a way for people who RP bad guys to actually feel like they are bad guys beyond mindlessly Blade of Woe'ing entire towns and doing infinite DB quests.

And if you are gonna do a Bosmer lady, give me one with the personality of the Green Lady. Preferably the enraged version after the events of Khenarthi's Roost have played out. A vengeful, strong warrior who is taking no BS from anyone who gets in her way. Too many bubbly Bosmer around imo.
