Your attempt to bait me would have more punch if I was the one actually flustered and insulting him—it’s the other way around though, sport. Can you show me an argument that contributes to the discussion? Or are you just here to stir the pot?

Edit: I think it’s also interesting to point out that the Wiz responded to a post in which he wasn’t even involved in the first place. I just went through this thread again, and my initial reply was to @Enemy-of-Coldharbour before the Wiz decided to interject himself and “not try to start a fire” (then grabs the gasoline and matches).

Yeah, what's up with Mechanically Challenged members trying to start drama on a Hodor thread? Very suspicious

You're legit sitting on this topic waiting for people to respond but you're not flustered. Ok little guy...How many times have you even hit f5 in the last 60 seconds? You're hunched over your keyboard right now with a vein popping out of your forehead.
maybe post this *** at your private forums?
people come to the forum to discuss game stuff, give and receive assistance. not to see brag threads by people who say couple words with 3 essays long signatures about being successful in videogames

The only guilds I am a member of are trade guilds. As thoroughly evidenced in this thread, Trials guilds are an absolute joke in this game—not worth the time, ego-flexing or drama once you have your skin.

1) you're showing off your e-pen on a forum; a place where people come to discuss bugs, balance, builds, and general questions. Rarely ever do you get someone in here bragging about a leaderboard score unless they are one of you clowns in Hodor who think the forum community care. In essence, you're pitching to the wrong audience. Go post your achievement on youtube or something where people might care.
2) you're boasting about an achievement to an audience filled mostly of casual players, in a game with literally no competitive scene or future, about a dungeon which you had a month at least to master before everyone else.
That's me done.
Before everyone else? You do realize the PTS is open-access, yes?
But the PTS isn't open access is it? Before anyone else
The PTS is open access though. Literally everyone on PC can download it (and console users dont count for this race because they have their own "world first" race generally)
Well ive just dont a quick search based on what you have said, and apart from the odd, what i presume is light hearted posts on things like, worlds first nirnhoned broom and bucket etc, 95% of all worlds first threads, with a quick scan are posted by Hodor.
If that's not a serious case of *** stroking threads, i dont know what is.
Is it possible that all of those threads are posted by Hodor because...Hodor did them?
I really dislike how raiding culture in ESO has changed for the worse, where achievements by people that contribute more to the community than anyone else ever will are ridiculed rather than seen as a triumph by the whole community (because clears like these are the exact type of material that are used in guides to less dedicated players have a chance of clearing content like this)
It's not about they did it first, props to them, ive no doubt there all exceptional players.
The problem is the bragging nature of the posts, the end.
They are sharing their achievements. They have always done so.
The issue lies not with Hodor, but with the community that once recieved their achievements with open arms now trolling them.
I'm just sayin', if they stopped playing then here's what would happen:
-Broken PvE content would be released, because they are effectively the QA team since ZOS's doesn't do their jobs well
-No more Alcast builds for people to follow like lemmings. Quality of the average player will greatly decrease, most likely
-No more dungeon and raid guides written with as much detail as Hodor's. Clear rates will plummet.
Maybe don't bite the hand that feeds you is all I'm sayin' here

Op likes to brag because he's obviously very skilled in the game, doesn't seem to realize that what he's doing is indeed bragging, people got worked up because excessive bragging makes the community look bad for new comers and apparently someone got also pissy blaming elites for nerfs or something like that.
People forget that this is nothing but a game and it means absolutely nothing. Everything here is pointless, empty, and temporary.
Tldr, first point was bragging, second point was bashing op for being obnoxious.
ZOS keeps making changes that are not targeted at eliminating cheese from the high end without obliterating the average player from ever being able to even attempt that content but instead blanket nerfs that affect casual players far, far more severely.
That is on ZOS. They could do a better job on that end, and plenty of MMOs do it with targetted nerfs over blanket ones.

I didn't put the blame on them, to be quite honest. I did say that they make changes to the game in an attempt to balance around elites, and that is the truth. It is also how most games are balanced.
That doesn't make those players to blame if ZOS does a poor job of it, that is on ZOS. Which is something that I also said, but that keeps getting left out.
But if you're one of those players and see people exasperated by a change that hurts the majority more than it impacts you, that isn't the best time to choose to brag.
It's all about timing.
I hinted a bit at the cause of this animosity in another thread but wanted to touch on it here.
this kind of behavior was not as prevalent a while back compared to now and I think its just a result of how the game has been going and what ZOS has been developing.
for instance this year:
we have gotten the most DLC vet dungeons we have ever gotten, they are the hardest they have ever been, and still ONLY reward vet play, as well as the "trial" (cloudrest) that had its motif drop altered to favor those that actually participate in the trial.
back in the day, content was mostly for everyone, 3 zone DLC's (one a chapter) and only one set of vet dungeons and one trial.
compared to now, content is being heavily skewed towards a smaller pool of more hardcore players. if you don't care about vet dungeons or cannot complete them (the majority cannot complete them on the only difficulty that matters) most of ESO's content is worthless to you.
and rewards for that content are still huge, sets are not THAT big of an issue, as you can run normal for blue and upgrade it to purple. but more and more, skins, motifs, and monster sets are ONLY available to a small group of elite players.
and thus, animosity grows.
normal players are already disgruntled about not being able to play content or get the cool new stuff, and then you have posts about people obliterating new content, bragging about how awesome they were at beating it, all the shiny new stuff they have, and how cool they look. . .
yeah, what do you expect.
I know a 60+ year old grandma who plays this game (and even pvp's) and even she talks mad *** about ZOS catering to these players and how upsetting it is (though in not so many words and with more cursing)
