1) you're showing off your e-pen on a forum; a place where people come to discuss bugs, balance, builds, and general questions. Rarely ever do you get someone in here bragging about a leaderboard score unless they are one of you clowns in Hodor who think the forum community care. In essence, you're pitching to the wrong audience. Go post your achievement on youtube or something where people might care.
2) you're boasting about an achievement to an audience filled mostly of casual players, in a game with literally no competitive scene or future, about a dungeon which you had a month at least to master before everyone else.
That's me done.
Before everyone else? You do realize the PTS is open-access, yes?
But the PTS isn't open access is it? Before anyone else
The PTS is open access though. Literally everyone on PC can download it (and console users dont count for this race because they have their own "world first" race generally)
Well ive just dont a quick search based on what you have said, and apart from the odd, what i presume is light hearted posts on things like, worlds first nirnhoned broom and bucket etc, 95% of all worlds first threads, with a quick scan are posted by Hodor.
If that's not a serious case of *** stroking threads, i dont know what is.
Is it possible that all of those threads are posted by Hodor because...Hodor did them?
I really dislike how raiding culture in ESO has changed for the worse, where achievements by people that contribute more to the community than anyone else ever will are ridiculed rather than seen as a triumph by the whole community (because clears like these are the exact type of material that are used in guides to less dedicated players have a chance of clearing content like this)

It's not about they did it first, props to them, ive no doubt there all exceptional players.
The problem is the bragging nature of the posts, the end.
Asiangod, ProDNC, Gilliam used to but is unable to due to his job.

Question.
Is not naming and shaming supposed to be prohibited?
Why can you do it without closing the thread?
Because it's not naming and shaming? It's naming an congratulating?
Plus most people already know who Mashinate, Andy, Hjelmi, and Alcast are

I see, it was an honest question.
I thought Naming was a cause and Shaming another.
The only one I know of those 4 is Alcast, that guys is a god for many players.
Hey @Alcast , you could add in your guides that if you cut a finger your dps increases by 15% I'm curious to see what happens please and thank you in advance.
I may feel offended, but it rather makes me laugh. It sounds like my quality as an average player depends from some guy named Alcast I never met (and never copied any of his builds) or some guildies who tend to brag publicly with each their achievement completed to earn awesomes. It's strange to even think that way about average players.I'm just sayin', if they stopped playing then here's what would happen:
-No more Alcast builds for people to follow like lemmings. Quality of the average player will greatly decrease, most likely

These guys used to be loved by the community, what's happened lol
The bragging and ZOS seeming to make content harder and harder, just to make things interesting for these guys at the expense of the rest of the population. Whether that perception is fair or not the constant nerfs to average players to give elite players more power is going to cause people to be disgruntled.
One of them bragging about their success in that enviroment is just asking for negative feedback because it's tone deaf.

So wtf is the intention lmaooo
"worlds first" as if you've just broken the 4x4 relay race record at the olympic games.

You’re confusing saltiness with a general disinterest in blowharding. Aggrandize yourself and your guild to, you know, people who will better validate your accomplishments—like your guildmates, teammates or people close to you. Expecting a mob of complete strangers to care about something that you’ve practiced on the PTS for weeks upon weeks isn’t fair to yourself or others. It’s not sincere or genuine. It’s literally fishing for attention. And do be careful: you rarely get the attention you want when crying for it online.
Do Hodor post their learning runs? Or just the ‘flawless’ stuff? Because the former might generate them more goodwill than the latter. Just a suggestion.

World first achievements are common in most MMOs and are generally celebrated by the community

And everyone is under the same conditions on PC? You mean far from it? Customizeable PCs, add-ons, modifications to systems, accessories, etc.
