    Skyrim
They are all different. I would have to say I love Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim for all different reasons, although I voted for Skyrim. I chose Skyrim because I spent the most amount in it, and it's the first TES game I made mods for.

Elfluck - Dunmer Dragonknight "When I will walk the earth again, the Faithful among you shall receive your reward: to be set above all other mortals forever. As for the rest: the weak shall be winnowed: the timid shall be cast down: the mighty shall tremble at my feet and pray for pardon."

    Oblivion
Oblivion, Morrowind, then others. Never had a chance to play arena, Daggerfall I loved, but I do see it as rather bad, but this is looking back and I am not a big nostalgia player. I also played Daggerfal when i was 10... so that is also a problem...

    Morrowind
Came in at Morrowind after watching my dad play it, vastly irritated him to my eternal delight about having way more gold and really good gear than he ever done.

Had a problem with the DB, hunted them down everywhere, this hatred lasted till Oblivion, then loved Skyrim.

I enjoyed them all but chose Skyrim because even with ESO out I still go back to Skyrim fairly frequently. Admittedly it's heavily modded (but not game-breaking because why do that?) but good mods tend to make for nice replay-ability :3

Oblivion was pretty special - I bought a $200 graphics card for my PC just to run it, and I played it over and over.
But then Skyrim... it was an improvement, I thought. So can't pick just one.

I did try Morrowind AFTER Oblivion but... didn't like it. Had I played it beforehand I'm sure I'd have loved it.

Hey at least you tried it, shame you didn't get the chance when it first came out it was awesome for the time.

    Morrowind
What I loved most about Morrowind was what I hated most about Oblivion - in Morrowind the story is part of the land/culture. In Oblivion the story is a crapfest tacked on.

Morrowind was about the end of an age, it was.....

    It just was

(and those are still NOT cliffracers in ESO, despite the fact that when you scroll over them they claim to be).
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

I own the disc via the Anthology, the problem is going back to the game. Its mechanics were god awful compared to what is around now, my nostalgia drive isnt enough to get past the controls. Morrowind is as far back as I can go with games tbh

Lets be fair, I love the TES games, probably had 600+ hours on Oblivion just vanilla, but Bethesda games are built to be modded :P

    Oblivion
I think Skyrim would have stood a chance for what it was, if it included a few appearance touches like vibrant colours and NPC w/ NPC interaction (immersion).
Things were also taken out such as skills and spell making which left it kind of dull and brutal. Even the quest differences were quite different - I actually remember Oblivions DB and TG questlines (even some side quests!).

Sadly never played Morrowind yet, so I can't say anything about that game... Can't wait to get my hands on it, one day ;)

Got really frustrated with Arena after a few days, although, I liked how you could ask NPCs for directions. (Think when night fell you had to take care of monsters in towns, can't remember).

It's a shame we get older in some respects it would be awesome if they released those old games but with updated everything just so we could relive a few of those old good memories and share them with the generation of others that missed out.
