Here's my guide to making "buff dude" character generation.

Best race is by far Redguard for a yoked out monster. Haven't tried Orc yet, though. Nord is also good. If you play AD you're out of luck without the Adventurers' pack, lol.

Go far to the left line of the "triangle" on both the face and the body. More towards "masculine" and "heroic", but about 1/3 down, but on the far left line.

Body:
of course max chest size and shoulder size
small smallest gut and hip size
arms and legs - max size
large "posterior" - you can't be buff with a tiny teenage girl butt

Face:
nose wider than you think it should be
jaw max size
don't mess with cheekbones - just middle
NECK SIZE - MAX

Unfortunately the hair styles in ESO are mostly unisex, so go bald
No beauty salon facial hair - either clean shaven or the wildman unkempt beard look

My best advice would be to find some images of real-life men you would like to "be", then try sketching them in the character creator. Compare the nose you've made to the nose in the picture, then make adjustments until it looks like the picture.

It's like you're learning the very basics of drawing, and the best way to get the look you want is to use reference.

Ahaha I knew some one was going to post that guy... Black sails is a show where you can get a glimpse of much alpha male/manliness. Also if you google special forces this guy pops up

How I usually create my manly characters:
-First put all the sliders in the middle to make your average Joe.
-For body/face type you can leave it at the center of the triangles or just push it all the way to muscular/heroic. Lock in.
-For body Max out the sliders for neck size and shoulders. Gut size all the way to minimum. Lock in.
-Select your choice of age, skin color, hair color, hair style, and eyebrow style. Lock in.
-Now play around with the rest of the sliders or just hit random over and over until you get something you like.
-Add a beard for extra manliness.
Done.

And dont pick a Breton. They look so dopey.

Function over form = scruffy and unkempt
Midnight shadow, untrimmed brows, prominent scars, ragged hair.
Dragged through the hedge backward look basically.
But..
precision doesnt go amiss either.
Honed muscles, prominent cheek and brow bones, deep eyesockets to emphasize shadow and really emphasise the bone structure.
Low brows to emphasize deep thought if you are after the intelligent look, furrowed if you want more intense.

Depends if you want the carefree lager lout and gentle giant or the chiselled warrior look.
Probably easier if you pick a mood for the character.
Carefree and bubbly, sinister, mysterious, flirtatious, stern, moody, smouldering.

Thread made me laugh though.

Just change face type to "heroic", or put it between "heroic" and "angular".

Unfortunately there's not much customization.

No, he's white, but that's a rather dark picture of him. Also, he's in costume and if you've never seen teh show they are very unwashed and dirty. So you are seeing a lot of dirt built up there.

@Rune_Relic I try to aim for sinister and mysterious, but I think I will end up making two characters, one as I intended and a manly nord with a belly full of mead, moody and carefree!

Yes one of my main problems was putting the face at soft all the time because the cheekbones always looked too pointy and I didnt know how it would end up looking in world but from now on it will definitely stay between heroic and angular, thank you!

I think they are harder to make then female characters and could definitely use more hairstyles.
