Help me make a man

Exactly what the title says, help me make a man ;___;.
I know this is a very pathetic thread but I kid you not when I say my men end up looking like women all the time.

So here is the thing:
I am always playing as a woman, because it feels more comfortable, and I have no problem in making women look decent, but I cant say the same when it comes to men... in regular games with a male character I have no problem, as usually they already make the job for me by creating the man, but in games where I have to make my character, it is a total fail. My SIMS world is FILLED WITH WOMEN! I have maybe 3 men and even they look like women.

Dark Brotherhood is coming out soon, and I would love to be able to roleplay as a mysterious man, usually wearing an armor that covers the face, very Ezio from Assassins Creed style. Problem is, whenever I try to create a man, he always looks funny.
For example I saw this guy at a wayshrine:




THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM GOING FOR! I messaged the guy/girl but they never answered, probably thought I am a stalker, and I cant blame them I rolled around their character to take a bunch of screenshots xD.

So lets see...:
*Dark elf
*Makeup
*Bushy eyebrows
*Face shape? Soft? Hard? I cant tell... but I still tried my best, HOWEVER my character ended up looking like Conchita Wurst ;___; and until I could get a breton armor that covers my face the girls would gather around me and probably laugh ;___;. I am not trolling in any way although it may sound like I am, but I am desperate, I need help, so PLEASE, if you make male characters and have a few screenshots of the process, such as the face shape, cheeks, everything that could help I would appreciate it. Heck even just various screenshots of your character so that later on I try to recreate him would help.

Well that is one of my favorite songs, but I still have a lot to learn about being a man ;___; It is indeed a hard path... *throws my dresses away while I play as a man*

There's nothing wrong with your guy here, but he may seem less masculine because everything is too delicate.

The nose is very thin, the eyes are angled very sharply and both eyebrows and facial hair are thin/wispy.

My best advice would be to find some images of real-life men you would like to "be", then try sketching them in the character creator. Compare the nose you've made to the nose in the picture, then make adjustments until it looks like the picture.

It's like you're learning the very basics of drawing, and the best way to get the look you want is to use reference.

I'm not sure LOL. I am a straight female gamer and the male characters I make I usually make them how I would find a man to be physically attractive.

For the two gentlemen - well Hodorf was as near as possible a recreation of one of this ones friends from Middle Earth (Hodorf = Hodor - Dwarf). The boy has a limited vocabulary and dress sense to match.

Sherlock Gro Bones is an orc who considers himself a gentleman of distinguished tastes.

I can't make a pretty dark elf woman and now I see my problem. I should have been making a guy! I have a male dark elf mage and he looks like a ferocious old man. He's very dark with white hair. So, advice. Since you are after an assassin type you need to spend the most time looking at eyes and face shape. Your guy looks like he got the soft face shape. Try the heroic or angular and stay far from soft. Bump the age up a tad just to give them him some authority. You might best stay away from the eye makeup, it either makes for strange like the banker in the outlaw refuge in (I think) Daggerfall or pretty as you have discovered. You might look at heavier, lower eyebrows which your admired example seems to have.

I'm on Xbox so screenshots are difficult but I'll see what I can do. I like playing with the character creation and don't need much excuse to do so.

Thank you!!! Thats exactly why I wanted some male screenshot with the same feeling behind ;___; (assassin like, tough but not tough in the way of lifting a gigantic sword)

As some others have said I would just use an image that is generally considered to be "manly" as a template and go from there. Something from popular media perhaps. Try not to get too hung up on how pretty they look. Pretty doesn't usually equate to manliness. Facial hair, scars, a more rugged and hard look about them over soft, defined features.

See that is exactly my problem! I always make them very soft somehow and forget that they are not women, because I am also a painter since I was a child ALWAYS painting only women so maybe that also didnt help me ;___; . I will keep it in check: facial hair, scar and a harder look!

Easy. Slide the triangle thing to the top to make them a heroic, and slide everything else as far to the right as you can. Oh and give them a big beard

I checked and it is pretty much impossible for me to do screenshots right now. My Mac is too old (that's why I'm on Xbox) to support One Drive which is what I would need to share screenshots. I looked at my old copy of ESO and it requires a giant update and I fear the whole computer will go up in smoke if I try to use it. When I started in Beta it was just below minimum configuration but I could play in PvE all right if with diminished detail. Every patch until the transfer reduced the resolution even more so after three major dlc there is just no telling what it would look like if it even opened. I am getting a new computer soon, I grow weary of "issues".

Awwwww dont worry!!! Thank you very much for trying though! I am on PS4 because my computer is also very slow

I just did a quick search for "manly actors" on pintrest. I think any of these guys would make a good assassin.



(I realize I put Gregory Peck twice. Apparently, I have a thing for Gregory Peck. Who knew?)
