@ZOS_GinaBruno Since Crowns are account-wide, and Store purchases are usually server-bound, does that mean you will have to pay for IC twice to play it on both servers?

This seems to be the most important question that would requiere an answer. For player like me who play on both PC and PS4 on both megaserver, it's really important, as being a ESO+ member would become far more interesting than buying the DLC in that case.

Also, when it will be on PTS!! Need to know ASAP to organise some events (as I'm gone in hollidays from 8-24 august)

After watching the Twitch stream last night, I look forward to this. A more open world where pve and pvp mix is more alive.

... Really? Has no one made the connection that when you subscribe, say $15.00 a month in USA currency, you receive... 1,500 Crowns? A Crown is equal to a penny. You get your money back entirely in Crowns. So, yes, ESO Plus is wonderful. You get all the benefits, get your money back in Crowns, AND you get the DLC for free, literally (for the record, IC is $25.00 in USA currency since it's 2,500 Crowns... that you don't have to pay for...).

*sighs and shakes head* The bane of physical cash. Not many people's minds, it seems, can handle the virtual transfer.

But I'm also remaining in the present and not reaching into the past like many other players. (Though I would like to note that you received Crowns for all those prior months as well.)

Anyway, more on topic: IC looks interesting. Might get me to PvP more. Initially, I was under the impression it would have been a free update since it's smack-dab in the center of Cyrodiil and - from what I read - sounded like it would affect the keeps and such in Cyrodiil and PvP as a whole. However, after reading what IC entails and what it gives, I'm not surprised it's a DLC. That is a lot of stuff. It's not just an area like Craglorn; there are whole new mechanics and cosmetics (TES is known for roleplaying not meta-gaming after all). In fact, IC as a whole seems to be a lot bigger than Craglorn with at least seven different areas. But that's just my opinion.

"Telvar stones collected by players in the IC to craft sweet new content gear etc can be stolen by other players in pvp. I hate bloody pvp, some people like it and that is great but I should not be forced into being beat to shite so some pvp player can steal all of my hard earned mats".

So this is the same as when people steal and are caught by the guards and they take all your gold except it's players taking your Telvar stones.

Bad comparison. You have the option to gain gold in ways that will not bring you in conflict with the guards. The comparison would only fit if these stones could also be gained in the group dungeons (can this be confirmed or refuted, @ZOS_GinaBruno), and even then this would still be gated for groups leaving out the solo population.

Once they get enough of the small group of sociopaths killing anything and everything they will rethink this whole losing all your hard earned stones everytime you hit a lag spike. I think its cute how naive they are. They think everyone will play nice together. Obviously they have zero experience with games that have open pvp.

Nice to have new content to Tamriel. Tho, this is not my piece of cake as not really keen on PvP. Would love to see more content elsewhere than Cyrodiil..

i CAN confirm that this is true (if you dont have premium you WILL have to pay for ANYTHING twice if you are using both servers (like i am)

I had to send a ticket to Bethesda, complaining how unfair this was when ANYTHING bought from the crown store says in BIG SHINY LETTERS *Account Bound*!!!! it does NOT say *Server Bound* and so i asked

*Then why do i have to pay for the Adventure pack an Imperial Edition TWICE when it uses the same account AND the crowns you buy STACK to BOTH servers?*

You know what they said?? *Because that is the way it is, you cannot argue the fact, if you want imperial and adventure pack on both servers you DO have to pay twice, sorry you are unhappy about this... Have a nice day*... LOL if this carries on, they will lose AT LEAST one customer... (THIS ONE!)

It is seemingly refuted by the fact that in the basics it says "Collect Tel Var Stones by defeating Molag Bal's minions and enemy alliance players—and try to keep yours from being taken!"

From what I've been reading the Imperial City is basically PvP, right or wrong ?. The reason I'm asking is because I don't PvP, never have never will. So if there is no straight PvE content you won't be seeing me there.

I pay a sub, I support the game that way because I really like the game but if they are going to start adding more PvP and less PvE then I will be out of here. It just seems to me that they are slowly turning ESO into more of a PvP game. I'm probably wrong but it's just a feeling I have.

It is in a PVP area, but it is both PVE and PVP and the two are mixed together. Some areas are PVP and PVE at the same time, with both Alliance and NPC enemies there.

They have neglected the PVP portion of the game for too long. It is time for the PVP people to get something and for the PVE people to nod in approval. The last two areas added to the game were PVE and almost all content since then has favored PVE play at least as much as PVP play.

    I am a PVE player.

But the point of an RPG game is to Role Play in a Fantasy World and LEvel up your characters without any agro from Ganking MOFO's! (i would love a go at pvp though, but dont see the point if us NOOBS to it will get shafted from our hard earned stuff every 10 seconds!!!!) dont forget some of us are not natural at pvp and HOWEVER hard we try we will ALWAYS lose out!

Yeah, I can't do that. Agree with Barneylee, that is. The point of an RPG game is to role play and progress your characters. Whether it is PVP or PVE does not matter. As a matter of fact, I think that the best implementation of an RPG may well start with it being an open PVP world.

I do both PvE and PvP, probably 80/20. %95 of my deaths in PvP are at the actual battle, not being ganked. And I doubt campers at the entry sites for the dungeons will be terrible because there's not going to be a consistent stream of people going there. And if perils were smart, they'd travel with other groups to get to the entrances to prevent ganking.

My only question in all of this is; With the update, will we finally be able to use gamepads in game without having to use third party stuff to trick it into working?

I had to quit playing on PC due wrist issues. I've been enjoying the console version with its' vastly superior UI and controls and my hands don't have to fly all over a keyboard or handle a mouse when doing it. Still, I'd love to be able to play with my wife on PC again.

I highly doubt it. All that ZOS has ever said about this subject is that they would like to add it to the game, which basically means there's no real plans for it.

It has been confirmed that dungeons will not give Tel Vars one only gets those in areas of IC where PvP is possible. However doing quests will also reward Tel Vars which are in coffers or similar which cannot be taken upon death so if one likes to secure those stones then open the coffer in a safe place.

I've seen this mentioned a few times in various threads now, so i'll clarify some here. Imperial City is meant for the PVP player - it's their turn for some love. If you love PVE and are clamoring for more of that type of content, the Orsinium DLC will be exactly what you want.

Is anyone else worried about the new "Tons of combat and gameplay balance changes"?

Sounds like ZOS-speak for "Nerfs on your six!" to me.

Here's hoping that along with the nerfs come some badly needed and long requested improvements in character creation/modification, clipping issues (really tired of paying for /stuck), lag, etc....

Glad my continued subscription is finally paying off! **crosses fingers**

Wait a minute ZOS! I killed Molag Bal a year ago, so why is he still controlling the Imperial City?

You only weakened him temporarily, Daedra can't be permanently killed. You even talk to him during the epilogue.

So glad to see someone else who actually pays attention to the lore! <3

I'm excited to see things mixed up with balance as much as I am this TV stone system. When I see how the lag seems to get worse in Cyrodiil, though; or just bugs and crap that have been here since launch, and my concern with the regular grindy crap (which some people seemed to want TV Stones to also be) it really starts to kill my enthusiasm.

Paying for content updates that you would otherwise get for free in a sub model... Gaming industry is going down the drain.

Obviously some have no idea how much stuff, which was HARD EARNED by earlier players, was just dumped on B2P players at no ZERO expense aside from buying the box...and even more, including armor sets and loyalty rewards that used to be earned over months and months of hard play and subscription cost that can now be bought for practically nothing at the Crown Store.

In other words, those few complainers don't know what has already been showered upon them for free or close to it.

Many who have been here since beta have seen their rewards become all but meaningless and now, finally, we receive one token 2,500 crown pat on the head for our continued loyalty and some cry "no fair"? Absurd.

Honestly, ZOS has been MORE than generous to free players. Incredibly so. It's as if someone handed them Tamriel on a silver platter and they suddenly decided that wasn't enough.

Thankfully I'm quite certain it's a VERY small minority of free players, who knew the "rules" when they decided NOT to subscribe.
