How Long Does it Take You to Get a Champion Point?

    @Vanzen what was your activity breakdown for those 31 minutes? Questing? Grinding? PvP?

    Grinding in last VR zone from normal mobs with Aoe. New skill, detonation is a blessing.

    From doing casual PvP + Theivery + exploration, it took me about 3 days to get 1 champion point. It seems this system promotes people to grind in some way, some form, that their own playstyle is inferior if it has less XP.

    Don't worry ZoS will come up with some ridiculous excuse as to why they can't buff any other playstyles and will continue nerfing Grinding/Questing until it's so painful to level Characters (especially in Veteran Ranks) that we'll rejoice when they add +200% XP vials to the Crown Store "as a convenience". It really irritates me that there were many of us that thoroughly tested this on PTS and gave our findings via Feedback and Forum threads and ZoS literally ignored it all.

    EDIT: Coming to a Crown Store near you, $1 per Champion Point increase, bundles of 12 points for $10, 25 points for $20 and finally 75 points for $50, terms and conditions may apply.

    This is simply wrong. Myself and others have done testing and found out this not to be true at all. I think you might be getting caught up - as many do - in comparing numbers rather looking at the bigger picture: What those numbers allow your character to do. Loosing sight of the forest for the trees, so to speak.

    This has always been the case in every MMO, and for good reason. I'm not sure of your point here. Any way you can get experience is the same way you'll be able to get champion point experience.

    In terms of what?
    New players can still complete/enjoy their content with the new mechanics. You can't compare new players to veteran players, it just makes little sense. This 'all players should be equal even though they've played the game for drastically different times' is not healthy for any game.

    There are always these types of players in every game, regardless of whatever system is in place. My advice would be to find a good group of friends/guild to join with - if you've not done so already - that values you beyond the numbers of your character.

    Yes, you can't just 'level up CP' to catch up, for obvious reasons. The diminishing returns of the main mechanic of the CP system addresses this. Also the enlightenment. It's not a perfect system, no one is saying it is. But it could be a lot worse.

    Once again this is your opinion and can't possibly be based on any actual fact or evidence as you're talking about future events which have not happened yet. That being said, there is always a wide difference in player-character 'power' in games for whatever reason. Good games, accommodate this most obviously by providing a wide range of activities for players to enjoy, from simpler solo quests, to more difficult content, such as trials/PvP here in ESO. They player base is never equal in terms of power/ability in any game. Nor should it ever be expected to be.

    Yes I have, and yes I do, largely because I look at the CP system for what it is, something I wish more people would do.
