PLEASE give Imperial Edition buyers the pet dog! We paid full price for the game and now any old Joe Blogg can get the Imperial Edition for less than the price of the Standard Edition at launch and get it with a free pet dog.

Imo, people who bought the Imperial Edition before the Steam launch of the game, are getting totally shafted here.

This late announcement is bad PR without a highly reduced or free transfer option. This is even more bothersome because you are offering some sort of transfer to Playstation 4. Why not steam? Steam is a platform not just a game store, even more so with the steambox. Steam also offers perks only available to games purchased from them. We should of been told in the beginning or you should've planned for transfers, not handled well at all. I hope enough people wine about this you come up with something.

They're just touting the game on Steam, it won't be integrated into the steam platform.

I agree completely with Neizir, I think that a sale on Steam over the duration of QuakeCon is fair enough but it's a complete slap in the face to anyone who bought at launch, especially when you're including a free vanity pet, one that a LOT of players would certainly love to have.

In my opinion, you should offer the same prices on the official website as they are on Steam over the duration of this sale, as well as allowing all players logging in over the duration of QuakeCon to somehow acquire the Wolfhound vanity pet - as it should be.

The players who stuck with you from the beginning and made the initial investment are the ones who should reap the rewards, not the ones who come to the game late simply because it's on sale.

Not only that, but it's not even 'late'... the game has been out just a bit over three months, and they're already offering drastically cheaper prices AND exclusive content to new subscribers?

A definite slap in the face to those of us who have been plowing ahead despite bugs and broken content.

You wait for your subscribers to find out on their own and then protest before making the announcement and then add in "it's on sale to boot"?! What an absolute smack in the face to those who paid full price for it and a stupid crab.

This really sucks for the people who bought the Imperial package from your website and now a little more then a few months after game launches you decide to give Steam access and a Wolfhound pet. Well I see how you feel about your players who was with you in the beginning. My account subscription will now end.

I'm terribly disappointed in this news, I expect a game to get cheaper as it carries on. I've always looked at it like buying a car, the minute you're handed the keys the value depreciates, but in a game that is arguably quite dependent on the goodwill and continued patronage from current subscribers a nod to those of us who supported this game from the beginning would be nice.

I'm not one of those players who feel they deserve everything for nothing, but I paid a high price for the imperial edition AND subscription, it was bad enough that the imperial style motif was implied to only be available through that edition and then it started showing up in-game. It seems a small price to pay to make the vanity pet (at least) available to those of us who gave you a huge chunk of change and have been with you from the start.

Really? I wasted all that money to pre order for me and my wife and now this crap? Also My wife got the game to play every step of the way together in a group and she finally gave up hope on that and cancelled her sub. I had high hopes for this game but find myself slowly drifting away. You should be able to group for every quest if you so choose, I play MMO's to play with my friends no matter if we are of different lvls.

Really guys, a vanity pet to people that buy the CE on steam that the rest of us that bought the CE don't have access to? Platform specific special content always peeves me off, and this is right up that street. I really think you need to release codes to the players that have been here for the wolfhound pet, even if its just the collectors edition folks. Or how about anyone that logs in during quakecon weekend will get the pet as a "thanks for still being here!" option.

I gotta say, I've been pretty happy with this game, and even despite the lack of inventory space I still bought a guar pet as soon as you announced them. Now you're telling me that because I bought the box, and wanted to play for pre-release, I'm not good enough for a wolfhound?

So if i bought the game on the website i have to buy it again just to have it on steam?

Will early adopters receive key to get it on steam?
Or is the game just being sold on steam and not integrated on the steam platform?(like ubisoft games that launch uplay and steam is more like a shortcut/download service)
Are there plans to add integration with steam later? (like achievements, badges, cards and integration with the friends list)

It would be great if someone from ZOS could clarify this questions

    @Zenimax,

We understood that Zenimax and Bethesda just made a marketing game releasing game in Steam Platform, such as STEAM Launch and etc.

But @Zenimax need to understand that us majority players are helping, trying and making this game better.

We played ESO BETA, pre-ordered Imperial Edition to play this game, and we like it! even with many complains, but it's embarrassment to us, that are playing this game before any one, such as STEAM and "Future" Console players, be "away" from new offers, new features just to "bring" more players to the game, like I said before I'm afraid, that we PC Players will be forgotten, and this information just affirm what I'm trying to say (and I want to be wrong!). Since we are paying for the game we deserve same feature included to all platform and same treatment.

Many MMO's do it already for "loyalty" players, well I guess we're, since even with many complains, many negatives reviews, even checking in steam comments we are here.

I'm sad about it. I don't mind about STEAM Key Transfer, but I support people that wish and would like to play using their STEAM Account.

This post created by @BillyMailman‌, well-explained why people would like to transfer: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/120486/on-the-value-of-steam-keys#latest

@Zenimax, remember you can have more players and we wish it! a lot more people to play, to group! YAY, but even for more players, they need to keep the old players as well.

it makes me sad that I payed $100 dollars for the CE during launch and now they made it for steam and I have to rebuy the game why not just gives keys to people who already bought it or just give the dog to people who already have the edition since we sure aren't going to rebuy the game

This is a really poor decision not to include a linkage for people who already purchased ESO. Most of us supported the game since launch and now won't benefit from auto-updating, achievements, card shop, and other perks for those getting it off the steam store so late in the game. Please reconsider your stance linking this into Steam, thank you.

Erhm, just add ESO to steam. Like any game and you get the same "steam" perks.

Btw. Why would even Zenimax have anything to with your "steam" score?

It's great that you're bringing ESO to Steam. High time, I say, and its second place on today's bestseller list proves it. I have no complaints about the way it was done.

Exclusive bonuses suck. You can argue that vanity pets are unimportant, but it doesn't matter - locking anything away like this is unacceptable. Every other bonus can be added to an existing account, the wolfhound can't. Please, rectify this.

edit: every bonus except the beta monkey. Which still makes more sense because it's a reward for being early, while the dog is a punishment for being early.

I am probably one of the games most loyal. This sadly causes me to realize that aside from being unprepared with enough content for launch (like swtor)....and sticking through the loss of many guild members for similar reasons.....I just unsubscribed....all about money to them. I have a 6 month sub that ends in November....and I spent hundreds on merchandise at launch. I believed in the elder scrolls but this is tarnishing its name. I don't know that I will be here past Nov when my sub runs out. Just like other games I won't be back if they don't make it right.

I'm happy to see the game added to Steam, but am disappointed in the fact that those of us that are early adopters and avid supporters that have had to deal with the growing pains of this game won't have access to things like the wolfhound or steam trading cards because we bought into the game from the very beginning. It's a small thing but it's still quite disappointing to me and most I have talked to :(

The dog vanity pet is a slap in the face to everyone who pre-ordered. I understand the "sale" but also giving them probably the coolest vanity pet in the game, while the people who paid for this game and without whom, the game would be dead get nothing, let alone the dog?

Don't care about the dog, think its funny the kids all whining about some trivial vanity pet but w/e. What I have is the standard edition I bought way back after I played in the BETA. I want to be able to add the game to my steam library and then I will upgrade to the better edition, I'll even give the damn dog to some whiny spoiled kid if ya want. Thanks Zenimax Online.

Please give me a way to transfer my game over to Steam! I really don't like not having Steam communities and chat available to me, and the "Add Non-Steam Game" option simply does not compare to actually having the game registered on a Steam account. Please respect your customers that have been here and supporting you for the very first few months of the release. That also includes giving Imperial and CE owners the dog! Why should us early adopters be punished for supporting your game earlier!?
