...If it worked, I'd love it. I often go to the housing area with a friend; we build a lot together, and it would make things a lot easier.
However, it won't work because there's already a bug. When we're in a group in a house we both own, the chests often disappear, either for him or for me.
We then have to disband the group or travel somewhere else to make the chests visible again.
The bug has existed for years, so I don't think there can be secure access to one's own chests in other houses....
This is due to a bug in the storage furniture placement.
The furniture is there, just far outside the building. You can see this by pressing F5 to access the housing menu, then going to the Retrieve tab and looking at the direction and distance of the furniture.
This happens to me sometimes, too, even without a group in my own house.
It has nothing to do with the underlying inventory database where the items are stored.
What you can see, however, is that the storage boxes are displayed separately for each player. This is why, in the same house, they are placed in the correct location for one player and in a different location for another player.
Re: Crafting Surveys should be able to be done in one go!
At a minimum, there should be immediate respawn if you have multiple surveys. Trying to guess how far you have to go to get the respawn is annoying.
Though I do find the current system with jewelry in Reapers March can be fun. I've been there with 4 or 5 other people picking up survey and watching everyone make the same loop over and over was amusing.
Thats true! And some surveys have different distances to force the respawn, so its a weird guessing game sometimes. The distances arent entirely consistent.
Yeah, and the more recent zones have terrible spacing for some of them.
the way ive found round this is to
1) go to the pickup zone
2) pick up the mats
3) fast travel to a preview house in the same zone (free)
4) immediately exit and it puts you back at the pickup zone - where magically the mats have respawned.
rinse and repeat

Are people going to be a bit miffed? Sure, yes.
Are those people playing for the beam? No, they were playing before, and they'll play after.
Also, no one is suggesting lowering it's damage, right? It's the cleave, that is the issue. Just lower the damage on subsequent target and let it hit full force single target, already.
I really don't get how people can defend the beam as it is now, despite knowing full well it's overtuned. Please, guys, be honnest with yourselves .. at this point, it's nothing but a tantrum ..

I started playing with One Tamriel and certainly combat wasn't a reason to keep playing back then - I hated it.
I had played Oblivion in 2006 and Skyrim in 2011 and loved them but I abandoned them because I was an avid player and used to jump between many games.
ESO, I was treating it like those games and I was playing it on and off, I'd say from 2017 to 2022, with long pauses.
2022 was the year I locked in and started playing every single day up until now and looking forward - Oakensoul ring.
In 2022 I developed nerves issues and I wasn't even able to use a normal controller anymore (Xbox EU). Thanks to Oakensoul and dedicated controllers I've been able to enjoy combat and achieve great things.
Today, subclassing and scribing have added to my enjoyment of the combat.
Why I still play and plan on playing now? Two reasons:
1) This is the only game I have the ability to play efficiently while having fun, due to my condition.
2) I have invested so much in time, money and effort that every time I start another game and I see I am "poor, weak and ugly" I just prefer to close it and come back where I am in "god mode" XD
But this game offers many reasons to love it, and exploration was a strong one for sure in the beginning.
Sadly, I think the internet era ruined a lot the novelty and mistery factors. I recently talked with someone who was playing Oblivion Remaster and I said I remember curing from vampirism was so difficult in 2006, but the person replied "Oh no no, it's super easy, I followed the guide online"... Yeah, experiencing games is not the same thing these days.

Well, if you use it for fun, then I don't see why you are against the nerf. It will still be as fun after being nerfed.

A nerf to this skill would upset the playerbase beyond repair. Its that simple.
Yes. For the majority of the player base that use this for accessibility, it's not for looks or play style. It's because the high damage and ease of use allows them to do things in game they never could. My wife plays an easy 1 bar arc. She's always just been a quester, housing, putter around and have fun. She has carpel tunnel. We booked her up with a banner, flail beam. Now she can solo WB fights and other stuff she couldn't do before. This is the reality for a large portion of the player base and to take it away would anger many. I'll be fine. I'll just swap to whatever I need to and be able to hit the number my raid lead wants. I'm not scorepusher. Just vet and hm stuff. I get it. People find it boring or are upset because it's rewards are easy to get. I think that was the point though.
As I said above, Zos has had multiple good opportunities to tone it and has only done very small things. Increase cost, banner changed. We can yell into the echo chamber with our math but they have the metrics. If they haven't changed it, you gotta ask yourself why. Likely because thousands of casual players use it and love it. Anecdotal, I'm in a casual social guild as well as a raid guild. We run trials 2 or 3 times a week on vet for them to learn mechs. Our trials always fill with folks who never thought they'd be able to do trials or vet dlc dungeons. We've turned them into raiders and it's thanks in part to herald of the tome. Also subclassing but I won't open that worm can.

If ZOS would ever want to go beyond that, Julian had certain designs in mind for the series that would always be cool to bring back around into the fiction. I've made a list of his known contributions and ideas below.
Some misc info on Julianos from the lore...
- Julian invented the word "Tamriel"
- Julian created an entire solar system for the skies above Tamriel, including a bunch of planets and things which have not been seen again since TES1
- The Nords and Bretons were originally included in the series in reference to Julian's background as a Dane that spent much of his youth in France
- Julian was a huge fan of Arthurian Mythoses, hence his sobriquet surname (after Morgan le Fay). The inclusion of the Fey Folk in the lore of TES2 was almost certainly related to his love of that sort of folk lore
- Julian adored the Clyde Caldwell classic art style, as can be seen on the box art of Arena
- Julian invented the "Daedra" as a concept, to get away from real world connotations associated with typical fantasy demons. Much of this was explored in Daggerfall and Battlespire
- Julian liked to mix high fantasy or even science fantasy esque material with low fantasy material (see: the Battlespire and TES2's Numidium) for The Elder Scrolls worldbuilding -- the "Truth and Logic Style" already released perfectly fits with this
- Julian designed the Battlespire spinoff game from the ground up, authoring most of the world building and lore associated with the spinoff game -- including the idea of the Empire of Tamriel maintaining many pocket universe institutions to host certain imperial societies
- Julian invented the Direnni family of Bretons during the early development of TES2 (the best perspective on his vision for them would be lore about the Direnni of Caecilly from Battlespire), as well as the Camoran Usurper character (that led to the invention of the Camorian Empire and things)
- The early games featured a lot of Japanese weaponry in homage to Julian's adoration for eastern fighting styles

- Per TES2, Julianos has a temple called the School of Julianos (in reference to how religious institutes acted as schooling centers in real world history), which had a military order called the Knights Mentor
- Julianos is associated with the Elder Scrolls themselves per the dialogue of TES3
- Julianos is said to be a part of the original Aedra that rebelled against Lorkhan / Shezarr per Mankar Camoran's dialogue

Re: Dungeon quests need an overhaul ASAP.
It’s long overdue. IMO, you should get a skill point after the first completion. I don’t really see the point in dungeon quests, especially when you have to engage dialogue to progress. It just isn’t practical and doesn’t align with how many people actually play the game. Leave the storytelling to the environment and NPC dialogue.

I wouldn't hold my breath. They still haven't fixed the glitch in Lair of Maarselok where one of the adds in the first mob at the end either doesn't spawn of spawns somewhere you can't find it, so the door to Maarselok won't open. Yes, you can jump off the cliff to your death, respawn at the beginning, then find the add the second time, which is super fun, but still...

Regarding void creatures, don’t shades count? I can’t find the info online now, but I remember being surprised when that endeavor completed while I was working toward something else.
