The poll does not claim to represent every single player. What it does show is that among those motivated enough to engage, frustration is overwhelming compared to enjoyment. That is valuable feedback in itself, because engaged players are the ones who sustain guilds, organize events, and keep communities active.
Hence the bias. The desire to complain far out-weighs the desire to compliment.
You know how everyone is lamenting the downfall of New World? How there was a spate of posts here recently praising it and and how ZOS should learn from what NW did? Go to the NW forums, before the announcement they were moving to maintenance mode, and you'll see a litany of the same complaints you see here, in the same sort of numbers.
Listen for a second ok. Just listen.
Probably vast majority of us posting on these forums are fans of the game. We play regularly and have done so for a while. It doesn't mean new folks aren't welcome, in fact it would be nice if more people who played ESO would come here and comment.
When an opinion is provided, most of the time it's because we care about the game. Ok. If we didn't care, then we wouldn't come here. Alright. In fact, I would say it's hard enough to get people to care these days about the things that they should be doing, much less a video game, but here we are. Not out of hate. Out of concern and our love for ESO. That's why many have put in time on the forums. None other reason other than that, unless it's a streamer or whatever and I can't speak to that.
The OP, when opening this thread, they decided to bundle and label everyone with criticism, by extension anyone who disagreed with them as haters. Ok, that's not nice either. In fact, that's a great way to ensure no one follows you. Your first message to the community is one completely lacking any form of empathy or compassion for those like me who don't agree with them, but then they put it on us for getting mad about their selfish, self-centered and apathetic behavior.
People aren't dumb. People will be people, but many of us have put in so much time and money on this game, plus people we've met/known, for years and so we just don't want to see it get flushed down the drain ok. Pardon us for caring. We're so sorry we care enough to spend our time and energy posting online, not to mention all the time and money invested in this game. Our opinions matter and as long as some keep pretending, we don't exist, then there's always going to be this giant gap between the people playing/paying for this game and the selfish apathetic crowd who think it's their right to lock us out.
And that's exactly what they're doing and so here we are. Pardon us all for caring and having a heart for ESO and not agreeing with people like this OP person trying to lock us out. Most would agree we can't help what happened to New World either. Amazon just did it because they can. But I have seen several well-known streamers still running vids about the game and producing new content for it. The fans didn't give up on New World, Amazon did. Just like their workers. Why the fans guilty?
OP somehow managed to earn the First Anniversary and the Second Anniversary badge on the same day (yesterday)? How does that happen? Genuine question, do you need to visit the forum while logged in for it to trigger?
Was wondering the same last night. This is the single most suspicious account I've ever seen, though some digging around did show me info that makes me think it might be a player. Of course, zos staff can be players so who knows. Either way I feel it's better to treat it like it might be genuine.

Here on ESO I have never received anything at all, always just frustrations. I don't know why I still gravitate in this orbit honestly

You couldn't spend 30 seconds/day doing one quest (the crafting one) for a golden box?
Anyway, I agree for sure that the event has lagged on for way too long. I also think it was a bad idea to gate content we paid for behind completion of an event. But I was okay with waiting (and literally spending 10 minutes a day to get three golden boxes) until phase 2 finished as intended.
But here the things get fishy so please bear with me, the 2nd answer I recieved from support I am gonna exactly link here:
"Thank you for providing this information. We are needing to request the your alternative email addresses you have access to. Please also provide the ESO account User ID you are logged into."
