I tried the relogging but i didnt work then i learned the chests piece too same thing happened saying that I dont know the motif. I went and checked in achievements and i clearly have them checked across their names.

The area is really beautiful and level design is a big improvement over original game, but Hew's Bane seems like a really small location. Especially the delves, I can see them overrun by players when dlc goes live. I cleared one, and another player, who appeared shortly after, found only empty halls without any mobs or boss.
New stealth is really fun though, and I cant wait to try the new trial :)

The FPS is fairly poor in the new zone as well, to be expected I would assume.

Whenever you choose an option other than "Do you have work for me" Zeira explains the answer and then your only option is goodbye.

Folks like myself are trained to know usually the top answer is the quick way to get through the quest, and you choose the lower answers first if you are interested in all the story and dialogue.

In turn, if you choose the lower options you end up with goodbye and the conversation does not naturally lead you to learning about the job available.

As well I assume when she mentioned "large jobs" she says whenever they have one next. I'm guessing this is ACTUALLY when I get enough rep with the guild. Maybe tell Zeira to mention you need to have a good rep with the guild to be invited so it's more clear you need to build up rep.

Yeah building up anticipation early on will make grinding the smaller quests more enjoyable/rewarding. Maybe some hints about big jobs they've done in the past, the rewards they earned, etc. Should feel quite so flat when you first get to the den. I mean, yes, it should be depressing and empty because you haven't rebuilt it yet, but there should still be a sense of the lost glory and opportunities you are working to rebuild.

General Feedback: The Enchanter in Abah's Landing (Glyphs of Magrus' Favor) is marked separately on the map, while the Alchemist is included under the Promenade. Since the Alchemist has a separate shop (Salvilo's Wonderful Potions), it should also have a separate icon, like the Enchanter.

Getting to Abah's Landing: The wayshrine is not immediately accessible, so the only way to the city is through the quest; I assume that's a bug, considering one of the advertised ways of getting the quest is to port to Abah's Landing and find Quen at the wayshrine.

Getting the Quest: Being able to accept the quest from the Collections UI is a good idea. As ever though, it only works if you know to look for it there, and you only know to look for it there if you go into the Tutorials and read the Access instructions.

Trespassing: Trespassing is a great addition. However, it seems that "The Guard will be here any second, last chance", "Make noise and summon the guard", "No more warnings", "You're in trouble now, should have left while you had the chance", and "Guards on their way, get out" are all empty threats, as the guard never shows up. Your bounty will even decay while the occupants are still there shouting at you (bounty shouldn't decay while Heat is full, and Heat is permanently full while Trespassing).

I hope Trespassing will soon be filtered back into the base game zones where you can break and enter houses, as currently "Trespassing" there does nothing. (It also seems as a result of the new form of Trespassing that "breaking and entering" in the base game zones is no longer a crime, so hopefully these will be addressed together.)

• How did you initially get to Abah’s Landing?
2 ways so far normal by boat and the steal and escape way. Didn’t get caught and thrown in jail yet.
o If you got the quest from the Collections UI, was it easy to find?
Yes very I tend to read everything and it clearly states kari’s list.
Too bad the bankorai item doesn’t spawn yet.
• How did you find the pacing of the Thieves Guild storyline?
Very nice not too slow and not too fast.
• How much time did you spend earning Thieves Guild reputation in between questing?
Same as usual I just let the questline lead me.
• Were the additions of hiding spots and trespassing understood while completing Thieves Guild quests? Did they make sense?
Yup they did although sometimes u get caught straight after zoning in restricted area and gain bounty straight off the bat not nice.
o Do you have any general feedback for these mechanics?
o Not at this moment except maybe put the npc’s away from zoning in point so u get a chance to zone in without getting a bounty.
o If you received a bounty while trespassing, did it make sense why you received it?
Yes mostly.
o Did you understand what to do once you entered an area you were trespassing into?
Yes stay unseen.
• What did you think of the new enemies while performing a heist (the clairvoyant and the lookout enemies)?
Very nicely done
• Did you participate in any other criminal activity? If so, what did you do, and how did you like it?
Pick pockets was nice.
• Were you able to locate the Thieves Den in Abah’s Landing?
Yes no problems so far
• Did you find and/or complete the Cutpurse Above achievement, which awards the Master Thief title?
Impossible since the bankorai item doesn’t spawn.
• Did you receive the edict item?
Yes several.
o If so, did you use it?
Not yet I keep it for emargency
o Did you think it was fun and worthwhile?
Definitely
• Do you have any other general feedback?
Spend more time on some of the clipping in one of the heists it is impossible to complete was the sewer heist one of the chests was clipped with a bunk and I couldn’t interact with it
Other than that GREAT JOB !

• How did you find the pacing of the Thieves Guild storyline? I just did the starting quest and stopped as soon as I got the novice armor (I don't want spoilers) from the guild leader; the first quest was really interesting and captivating but it doesn't make much sense that the npc is recruiting a random thief in an Outlaw Refuge; being not an easy task she should want a good thief or a trustable one as partner, not a random one
• Were you able to locate the Thieves Den in Abah’s Landing? Yes
• Did you receive the edict item? Yes, in a stash in Wrothgar
• If so, did you use it? No

Thieves Guild Storyline: I was assuming that each successive Thieves Guild story quest would be conferred upon reaching successive ranks in the Guild, like the Mages Guild and Fighters Guild, but I have just been given the second story quest "Cleaning House" without reaching Thieves Guild Rank 2. This is confusing, as I therefore do not understand the requirements for story progression, as they seem arbitrary. What do you actually need to do in order to get the next story quest?

Quest Givers: When a new story quest is available, Andarri and Thrag should appear in every Outlaws Refuge to give you the quest, not just the Thieves Den in Abah's Landing.

Trespassing: The notification for trespassing (TRESPASSING: You have entered a restricted area) is too "slow". If you rapidly enter and leave a restricted area, which is common near the Warehouse District in Abah's Landing, the notifications for entering and leaving a restricted area stack up to crazy amounts, and take a long time to clear through (as each one must pass before the next one can appear). This results in the notification being irritating and out-of-sync with what is happening in-game. I would suggest therefore that instead of using the "side wipe" notification style that it currently uses, which is similar to Quest Start/Completion, POI Discovery/Objective/Completion, and Infamy Level, that it should use the "ascending" notification style, similar to Quest Task Progression and Alliance War Notifications. These notifications clear through faster and visibly stack, which would be more appropriate for a quick-changing state like Trespassing.

I've played through a good bit of this, and the following are my humble observations. Some of which have already been stated, just somethings I noticed to.
How did you initially get to Abah’s Landing?

At first for a while I was unsure, but after some thought it occurred to me to check an Outlaw’s Refuge, and off I went from there.

If you got the quest from the Collections UI, was it easy to find?

Didn’t even realize this was an option.

How did you find the pacing of the Thieves Guild storyline?

I find myself doing it increments as I don’t want to blow through all the content. But so far, it seems pretty straight forward to me and progressing nicely.

How much time did you spend earning Thieves Guild reputation in between questing?

I enjoy the side quests, so I assume they are adding to my guild rep. I plan on doing those each day.

Were the additions of hiding spots and trespassing understood while completing Thieves Guild quests? Did they make sense?

Quest: Cleaning House area – the hiding spots did not have the yellowish glow around them like in the first quest. If I got pinched, wouldn’t have known they were there as they blend in with the background very well. Don’t know if that is intentional.

Do you have any general feedback for these mechanics?

Maybe some additional spots to hide other than baskets just for variety. Otherwise, I like the addition.

If you received a bounty while trespassing, did it make sense why you received it?
Yep, got pinched and it was all very clear.

Did you understand what to do once you entered an area you were trespassing into?
Yep, no problems at all.

What did you think of the new enemies while performing a heist (the clairvoyant and the lookout enemies)?
Definitely adds a degree of difficulty to it. Heists would be too plain without them.

Did you participate in any other criminal activity? If so, what did you do, and how did you like it?
Under the Thumb pick-pocketing quests. Had a blast with those. It seems you may have improved the drop rate of pick-pocketed items. It did seem that I got double credit for pick-pocketing single items. Also, as already noted, I’m not a fan of having to find a certain type of item. RNG = not fun. However, find 3 of these types or 10 of anything doesn’t bother me if the outcome is the same.

Were you able to locate the Thieves Den in Abah’s Landing?
Yep, clearly marked on the map.

Did you find and/or complete the Cutpurse Above achievement, which awards the Master Thief title?
Had no idea how to initiate those hit list quests. Just learned of it through reading the forum, but nothing in game prompted me to read a random list laying on a table that is not even glowing. It would also be nice if you could take the hit list with you, like the list for the items in Orsinium’s museum. Where to place these items was not clear either.

Did you receive the edict item?
I have two of them. As a medium Night Silence & Nightshade set wearing Bosmer…. She rarely gets pinched. So I haven’t had a need for such an item. However, I appreciate having it, and especially will on other characters not so sneaky (such as a plate wearing tank).

• If so, did you use it?
N/A

Did you think it was fun and worthwhile?
“It” as the DLC or the edict item? I think the DLC is excellent. But it just so happens my main has been a wood-elf Stamina NB in all medium armor since day one. So this, and DB DLC, are perfect for her. So I might be a little bias. Regardless, I am loving this DLC. Though I do worry about its shelf life. I’m afraid it will run its course and become old news quickly.

Do you have any other general feedback?

With Zeira and Velsa’s reunion after “Cleaning House”, Velsa approached and stood on top of a lantern during their conversation.

The sound that signifies that you are no longer trespassing is the same sound when you’ve gotten pinched and racked up a bounty. I’d suggest a different sound as it does cause some alarm.

The Long Game – while in disguise, and not being seen, I was routinely put in and out of combat. Only for a moment each time.

I think the heist time limits are a little tight… but then again, I really don’t like timed activities in the first place. I wouldn’t suggest adding much time to those if it was a consideration. Just a little tight.

Blueish green dragon frog (as seen in the warehouse district I believe) must go in the crown store.

A Faded Flower quest… it appears you have to go back through all the Iron Wheel and traps to get back to Velsa’s garden. We already did this… shouldn’t have to go through all that again. Quest tracker only focuses on Velsa’s location, not any manner to get to her.

The on screen prompt to press “E” to disarm a trap… a little too close to the trap for my comfort. I’d prefer a little extra range to disarming them. Just a little. Plus, traps no long glow yellow while in stealth. Don’t know if that was intended.

Reaper’s March treasure map out of a Thieves Treasure Trove… that’s a level 45 zone for my VR16 character… not worth the time. Might want to fine tune the drops from those troves. That being said, after writing this, I just popped a purple VR15 Night Mother ring out of a trove. Was excited until I saw it did not have the same Night Mother set bonus as the crafted set...

A faded Flower: Upon leaving the area via the Warehouse District doors, the quest tracker was instructing me to go back into the Warehouse Distract when the half-naked Nord is in the market outside the town next to the wayshrine.

Foot prints on “Flawless Plan” are spaced out way too far apart. Seems to just stop at one point.

Interacting with troves, chests, doors, etc. pulls out of stealth. Particularly bad in trespass areas. Seeing how this has been the case since launch, I am unsure if this is something you are able to change. If so, I suggest making it so players stay in stealth while interacting with objects.

No RNG please.

“Flawless Plan” – Unsure if one is able to complete the quest and have to stop there, or in mid-quest. But I have reached the Pillars of Tu’Wacca and (on both sides of the door) I cannot interact with the left Relief Wheels on either side.

I have just started this with a new character straight out of Coldharbour - even with battle leveling, at level 3 the first quest is incredibly difficult and I died multiple times. The boss spider at the end of the catacombs was impossible and I just had to run for the tower stairs and wait to be out of combat before using the ladder to exit.

I would absolutely do it on live with a new character, but someone new to the game and wanting to be a thief may not get a great impression!

After tinkering through all of Hew's, my only real criticism is the heron animation. They're doing a strange slide-walking animation instead of taking regular steps.

Now something non-gameplay related. It's about the atmosphere.

All right, so you arrive at the wayshrine in Abbah's Landing:
oAhWopxwfTTm2pfkd1KFbRYIcOiha_FohYzEHjo2J6w%2CLxrS7oEgGH2LSbleq5x-Zj3cUfU_leGtnoJsagFoEa4%2Cdf2qPaP-er6UjeZcPC86hupM2rYxGiCgzuGTKibwQ5k?size=1280x960&size_mode=3
It's dead.

Then you walk inside the gate:
ztjhVoJmk5LIKYtXFixw9i1aL8ZpKC-9XxP3QyE78AE%2CK73K0l-VuPJdebIfVp3NUvdkiYHPZmzD-_5iLXBlLoc%2Cm66WNY7FEuudqZ-E-A1EabOH-qi-BuS30SQu_n9_hHE?size=1280x960&size_mode=3
Still dead.

And you walk through the wall to overlook the harbor:
hKExYvqPviIko1_K8LSVaG8jxcA3C3oT3Q9A8hEs-BY%2Ca2SheyQUcoOalPHEqoSOiEZXAW3hsSorLczFkELXS8M%2CgMXmVS0PfGfDS8IA761bv2TgD5w0dTQg7KFVgcGFa2E?size=1280x960&size_mode=3
Dead. No one is moving, justling about.

Then at last you overlook the harbor itself:
-ZD_QSbUOWFLmRB96Pj7UCeZA9zbbkollRqKWQd57po%2CxB3ighiIrfwN-cNZjMV43XZKo-bR6nkOwPlEdaiEMZ8%2CZGnlVQylQq7oXdMnHINq2OBAyWpeAo5Umz7LjOZ2wEQ?size=1280x960&size_mode=3
Still nothing. Dead as a mouse squished by a giant paint can. (The animated world doesn't look much different than the picture).

I don't know if that's what you're going for, but it's no busy pirate harbor city.

• Do you have any other general feedback?
I noticed that the set items in thieves troves in non veteran zones scale up to lv 50 for a VR 16 character, but the ones in Cadwell’s Silver and Gold zones seem not to not scale up (I found a VR 2 set item in a thieves trove in VR 2 Deshaan with a VR 16 character).
• Would it be possible to make them all scale up to the character’s level so we can find good items in thieves troves outside of Hew’s Bane and Orsinium, too?
I really like the idea of finding treasure maps for previous zones in Hew’s Bane, but I was a bit disappointed when I realized that the Hidden Treasures from previous zones are still all the level of their respective zone. All my characters are VR 1 or higher so I have no use for lv 17 items from a Hidden Treasure Chest in Auridon.
• Would it be possible to always scale the contents of Hidden Treasure Chests up to the character’s level?
I opened 50 treasure chests in Cyrodiil with a VR 16 character with the Treasure Hunter passive and found only 2 set items, both VR 15 and from Orsinium sets (and I also found 2 chapters for the new Aldmeri Dominion crafting style).
• Is the chance to find a set item in a treasure chest supposed to be that low now, even with the Treasure Hunter passive, or was I just really unlucky?
I really liked the new thieves guild quests (the missions in Hew’s Bane and also the quests that sent me back to previous zones of Tamriel) and also the zone design of Hew’s Bane. Haven’t completed a heist yet though.

So the zone and quest design are great (as usual :)) in my opinion (and I think it's a plus that the thieves guild quests are designed like repeatable quests which are really needed in an MMOG; it looks like ZOS has learned from the Craglorn mistakes :)), but I think the reward and loot system are still not ideal. RNG is at the wrong spot, in my opinion. It's too hard to get an item of the desired set and armor type (players get lots of bind on equip items from the wrong set or armor type that they can't use nor sell because they're all bind on pickup; see my suggestion for new additional randomized item attributes here!).

Some more realistic, concrete suggestions for the game's current state :):

It would be really great if we could somehow update set items from VR 15 to VR 16. It’s so disappointing when you find a rare set item you need but it’s just VR 15 and not VR 16 :/ And like 8 or 9 times out of 10 it will be VR 15 (no matter if you find the item in a treasure chest or get it as a reward from a Wrothgar daily)!

It also would be great if we could upgrade the quality of jewelry (or even craft jewelry for crafted sets). It’s so disappointing when you find a rare piece of jewelry in a chest and it’s only of blue quality and can’t be upgraded (and the chance to get the purple version of the jewelry set piece you need is like 1/1000 from a daily Wrothgar quest).

No, they were just regular treasure chests (mostly simple ones, a few intermediate and advanced ones) I found in a Cyrodiil delve :)

In the quest "Forever Hold Your Peace" the guests to the wedding walk on top of the water in the center of the palace, i can't imagine why guests to such a high profile wedding would do something so unfitting as walking like low commoners on top of the water.

Also during this quest Velsa speaks like Walks-Softly when on the bedroom with Falorah.

All of the "official blah blah" threads need to be stickied because when they get even half way down the page, people get lazy and miss them. I feel I should never see an official feedback thread near the bottom of the page.
@Sidney There's too many of them to sticky. That's why this one is stickied.
