Imperial City is a PVP dlc. You carebears have the entire rest of the game, and will get all future planned updates as well. Please don't complain about the only slice of map the devs are willing to give to the alliance war. Enjoy your world, and let us enjoy ours.

Even though I'm mainly a PvE'er, The PvP people need something. If you don't want PvP in any way, then wait until the next dlc.

I love the PvP in the sewers. I do PvE mostly there, but the PvP makes it better for me. I wouldn't want it to be just another area that people go to grind. I'd like it to be organic, with fights interspersed. As it is, people mostly go up into the Districts anyways. If you're really worried about PvP as a PvE "Carebear", I suggest running in a medium-small group with some dedicated PvPers (2-6 people, 1/2 PvP players). Many players enjoy doing both PvE and PvP and I'm sure they'd like to have you along to gain Tel Var stones.

From what I've seen on the PTS, the PvE carebear stone farmers have started rolling around in groups of 8+ down there, so it's getting harder to solo, even though most of them are really bad.

Imperial Sewers are pretty intense. Someone actually said in zone chat today that they were scared while they were down there. I doubt that the devs will want to give that up.

I love crawling around in the sewers, especially way deep down on the 3rd level. That rush you get when you see another player down there and have to decide to fight or flee. So awesome!

(No we don't have plans to make the sewers PVE only)

The first section of sewers that is right next to your faction's sewers base should be relatively safe, pvp-wise. Enemy players can still go there, but the area is usually flooded with friendlies since it is so close to the respawn/banker.

Heh sounds like you play a NB, other classes don't have the option to ignore enemy players there or flee because of mobs.

If ZOS hadn't put items in there that PVEers NEED (stones) there'd be no requirement for those of us who hate and detest PVP to even think about going there.

ZOS did this cyncially, to coerce non-PVPers to endure PVP in order to progress their PVE characters. And no, PVPers being 'forced' to PVE is nothing like the same.

NB and sorc are by far the easiest to flee with, but I often get away from fights with my stampler by getting major expedition, throwing on immovable, and putting up a shield and then sprinting as fast as my girthy orc legs can carry me.

PVErs don't "need" the stones, as all important things you can get with them you will be able to buy off other players, or have accessible equivalents. So you can get the things that the TV stones can give, without getting the TV stones, as far as I know.

If you don't like to PvP, don't go in a PvP zone. You can get new gear without farming Tel Var stones, so your wish mustn't be fullfilled. It's like asking Alliance Points to be earned in PvE zone, it is nonsense.

How would you feel if PvP gear and skill lines (crafting) were stuck behind top PvE raids etc. and you couldn't get them by PvP'ing?

It is most often the case that PvP'ers refuse or cannot see the other side of the argument because PvP is all they care about.

Gankers and griefers all the more so.

I am not advocating what the OP wants - but people that hate PvP should not be forced to do it to progress their characters in crafting and gear except months down the line when the prices of PvP'er excess mats and gear drops enough for them to buy it second hand.

The whole of IC could have been exactly as it is, and Zenimax could have put in a decent gear deconstruction materials drop rate from the vet 15 & 16 gear, and they could have scaled all the existing dungeons.

PvP'ers would have had all the glories of IC and those PvE'ers who don't like PvP could have had other ways to progress.

But no, Zenimax have forced the issue and made some of the best PvE content in the game redundant to force everyone to buy the dlc.

To add to that, the level of grind is now insane. Just try getting a set of glass armour made if you don't understand how utterly farcical it is.

If Z keep going in this direction the game will lose a lot of PvE-centric players and the PvP'ers will be left with lower populations in PvP areas and the game will suffer due to lower revenues. It will also lose a lot of more casual players who won't want to play in a game designed for and completely dominated by no-lifers.

If the PvP-centric population had an ounce of sense, they would stop using the term 'carebear', stop crowing that 'they got theirs' and start understanding the game stands or falls based on it's popularity with EVERYONE.

It is the most stupid of short sighted points of view to believe that it's 'us against them' between PvP and PvE players.

We are all in this together, and it's Zenimax that are making this game so damn divisive.

There is NO NEED WHATSOEVER to force anyone to play in a way they don't enjoy - yet they are doing it.

    It blows...

One last thing, before some muppet labels me a carebear... I like PvP, and I like PvE, and I am active in both. I also do well in both... I have lead trials, I have lead PvP raids. I have fun doing both.

I don't however think that MY fun should come at the expense of someone else's, and I get sick of the selfishness of those who do and post on these forums with glee about how they are going to feed on the tears of other players.

Those people are fools, and ultimately poisonous to the game.

I don't like that people equal PVPers with people who want player loot or love griefing.

What about those of us who play this game for the pvp but cannot stand what IC represent, we are truly screwed by this DLC because it makes Cyrodiil obsolete.

I agree that the sewers has to be a pvp zone but what i don't understand is when the "sewers gates" on the district random port you on the other alliance zone.

I don't want to use the "die in a mob" mechanic in order to be able to store my TV stones i want to go in my safe area by foot, and when i got teleported in the AD first area (i'm DC) i was far away from home... a lot far away

Not sure what you're talking about.
Every alliance home base has shortcuts to their bases in every district.
And every district is connected to one of the large sewer maps in that the home bases are located, two adjacent districts have sewer entrances to one part of the sewers respectively.

Also, all the sets that the Tel Var stones buy are very PVP focused. Unless you have some unconventional build (like I plan on running the phoenix set as a healer), most of the gear PVE players will want comes from the two PVE dungeons. And if you need mats to craft gear (like Torug Pact) just decon the drops you get from the dungeons. Zos actually made it so if you are so die hard against PVP, you never have to go into PVP to still get top gear. PVP players will still have to go PVE some though to get upgrades to valkyn skoria and engine guardian however!
