    Manifest error on my windows 7 computer yesterday. None of the workarounds fixed the problem. Deleted the game. I'll reinstall during the weekend and see if things are back to normal.

    @Thorgal :

    Richtig. Alles ! was sich in diesem Feld befindet wird kopiert & in die Datei „WinHttp.reg“ gesichert.

    Danach einen Rechts-Klick darauf machen, auf „Zusammenführen“ ( fusionner ?) klicken & bestätigen.

    Danach funktionierte alles wieder wie gewohnt. Ein Neustart des PCs war nicht nötig… wird aber nicht schaden. wink.gif

    Cannot reinstall the game on windows 7. The installer is stuck after installing directX. Just says 'loading'.

    If you can, you install it on another PC (or a PC with the game already installed).
    You copy the whole thing and you try to play like that.
    that's what I have to do!
    Don't forget the files in my documents.
    Sometimes some adjustment is necessary.

    @Thorgal :

    Richtig, die letzte Zeile hat keine Daten… jedenfalls bei mir. Ich habe den Bereich, der von EasyFix gepatcht wurde, mit dem Registry - Editor exportiert.

    The problem I am having now is that even when updating the game on another computer. When I copy it the game does not work. it asks me to update. But the launcher does not work. So I can't wait for Bethesda to do something ^^
    It worked before so my question ... what have they done to make it no longer work now. Because I haven't changed anything :)

    Game only works when I boot w/ win10 HD. My win7 laptop and booting win7 HD on desktop comp leads to endless Black screen after starting 'launcher', none of the fixes have worked for me.
    Losing all of eso win7 customers should be a concern to them, but hearing very little from customer support.
    Hope they find a fix soon!

    Are you completing BOTH steps or just doing the Easy Fix? I had to run both steps on my WIN 7 Ultimate system as the Easy Fix alone didn't work.

    What is the other one you speaking about? The easyfix is what everyone is talking about.

    Looks like this is a problem with Windows 7 not enabling TLS 1.1 by default for the WinHTTP API. Zenimax must have updated the launcher site today.

    I was able to get things to work by applying the fix in KB 3140245 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-winhttp-in-windows-c4bd73d2-31d7-761e-0178-11268bb10392).

    Specifically I had to install the "Easy Fix" link (https://download.microsoft.com/download/0/6/5/0658B1A7-6D2E-474F-BC2C-D69E5B9E9A68/MicrosoftEasyFix51044.msi) to make the necessary registry updates, NOT just download the Windows update itself.

    WIN 7 X64 Ultimate and I had to do both steps, download and update KB3140245 then I did the Easy Fix. Worked great! Make sure you have Service Pack 1 installed or it won't work. Language packs muck with the update as well but all of this info is in the KB article and tells you what to update so the patch will work. Doesn't hurt to download and install the msu then the msi easy fix but BOTH are dependent on having SP1 installed.

    There are TWO files, an msu and msi file. The msu is used for fix the KB issues and the msi is the Easy Fix. Some could get going with just the Easy Fix while others had to apply both updates.

    All,

    I finally got the Launcher to begin re-downloading my game. I'm currently sitting at 9% downloaded, and wanted to share my process in case it helps out someone else down the line. I'm not sure if this entire list of fixes is what got me to the download point, but installing the Microsoft EasyFix Tool (and then rebooting) was the final step that got me to this point. Still haven't gotten in the game yet, but my fingers are crossed.

    I typed all of this up assuming that the fix wasn't going to work, so the list is written with that in mind. I'm going to post it here anyway in the hopes that it helps some other poor soul like myself that still has Windows 7 x64.

    For any ESO support staff employees, please pay particular note to the second half of my post, listed after all of the troubleshooting steps.

    **************************************************************************

    First fixes attempted:

    Reboot (gotta start somewhere)
    Check that automatic configuration scripts and proxy were both turned off
    Deleted "ProgramData" folder (the folder has since been recreated by the Launcher, but no change in function occurred)
    Updated: Enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as default secure protocols in WinHTTP in Windows via this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-winhttp-in-windows-c4bd73d2-31d7-761e-0178-11268bb10392
    Installed "Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3140245)" to address the line above

    The Launcher still froze at the same spot after all of the above fixes. In the end, I decided to do the following:
    Uninstalled the game
    Removed all references of The Elder Scrolls Online from my registry via regedit
    Attempted to reinstall the game from a freshly-downloaded Install_ESO.exe file from https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/users/account

    The Launcher would still freeze in the same spot, so I continued forward. I also tried installing the game on my C: drive instead of my SSD. No changes were observed.

    Tried these fixes next:

    Checked that the Launcher was not being blocked by Norton (all traffic from the Launcher was already set to "Allowed")
    Created new Inbound and Outbound rules in my Windows Firewall settings, allowing all traffic on all ports from the Launcher
    Uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled the following, this this website (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-160):
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x64) - 14.29.30135
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86) - 14.29.30135
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x64) - 12.0.40664
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable (x86) - 12.0.40664
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x64) - 11.0.61030
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable (x86) - 11.0.61030
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x64 Redistributable - 10.0.40219
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 Redistributable - 10.0.40219
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x64 9.0.30729.6161
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x86 9.0.30729.6161
    I had many versions of a couple of these installed, so I uninstalled and reinstalled all of them fresh, leaving only the x86 and x64 versions of each. The only one in that list that I could not find an update for was the 2005 Redistributable. It's ancient, so no surprises there. It would appear the Launcher utilizes 2010, so that's likely not an issue anyway.
    Attempted to "roll back" my version of DirectX so that Windows would think I had an older version of DirectX installed (so that it would then re-install DirectX). For this, I used the instructions on this website: https://appuals.com/how-to-reinstall-directx-on-a-windows-computer/
    Unfortunately, DirectX was on to my BS, and still detected that I had the current version of DirectX installed. So, ultimately, I could not reinstall DirectX.
    This Kevin Arrows guy that writes these guides has been SO MUCH more helpful than the ESO support team (even though none of it has worked yet).
    Installed DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) (which is apparently the latest version) from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8109
    Tried to reinstall Adobe Flash, however I cannot find a download for it since it was discontinued in 2020. I would like to avoid uninstalling Flash if possible, as I like having it around to access some older, legacy content. Since I can't reinstall it and would just end up uninstalling it, I'm going to leave that one.
    Updated my NVIDIA graphics card drivers, ensuring to run Display Driver Uninstaller beforehand to be thorough (DDU can be found here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html)
    Changed the Launcher's CPU Affinity through Task Manager to only use CPU 0. No dice.
    Tried running the Launcher with a VPN running, just in case my ISP was blocking the traffic. No dice.
    Tried running the Launcher with my internet completely unplugged (just for funsies). No dice.

    A large portion of these fixes were found here: https://techisours.com/eso-launcher-stuck-on-loading/#Fix_3_Reinstalling_Visual_C_and_DirectX

    After all of the above, I copied my wife's Launcher folder from her computer, replaced my broken files with her files. Re-ran the Launcher. And... got past the "Loading..." screen. Ultimately, the Launcher failed when trying to download and install the game, giving me my original "Error 210" back. That said, I got this link (https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22414) from the Launcher, which lead me to this link (https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/7413172#Comment_7413172), where I learned that there is a Microsoft EasyFix program that should set my registry values correctly.

    And now I'm here!

    Discovering this forum post was what got my Launcher to finally start downloading the game again. I'll update the post later to confirm whether I was able to get into the game or not.

    **************************************************************************

    So, now that my troubleshooting steps are out of the way, I'd like to address a bigger problem: the ESO support team. My original ticket (#211007-005150) had a canned response sent by a bot that was unhelpful. I tried a couple of the basic troubleshooting steps sent in that email, but of course hit a brick wall. I've had a busy few weeks, so I started to access the game by skipping the Launcher and running the game manually. I figured ESO would figure it out and push an update or something (my mistake). So, then Update 32 gets pushed and I'm stuck.

    I submitted a second ticket to refresh the issue (#211102-000095), and I've been *trying* to work with the support staff since I submitted it on Nov 2. The night I submitted the ticket, I got a response from a man named Robert, who was genuinely helpful and jovial, but we were unable to fix the issue. He told me that he'd be escalating the ticket, but I've seen no evidence of that.

    So far, the responses I've gotten on the ticket have been as follows:

    Day 1: Genuinely helpful Robert (unfortunately no luck)
    Day 2: Some rando who found the ticket and asked if I had run the Launcher as an Admin, and whether I had tried installing the game on my C: drive. I had done this, so I mentioned that in the ticket.
    Day 3: Robert chimes in on the ticket again to mention that he's escalating the ticket (2 days after he said that he would)
    Day 4: I update the ticket to mention that no progress has been made on the ticket and that I'm becoming frustrated. THIS is where the real mess begins. I get a response from "Brandy", who texts me literally just to tell me that it's not my turn yet and that I would have to keep waiting for my ticket to get a response from the escalation team. She's literally just taunting me and wasting my time. I cannot state how infuriating and rage-inducing this is. I cannot tell you how pissed I am that I was scolded like a CHILD for asking for an update on my ticket 3 DAYS after submission. I cannot imagine how this is in any way acceptable for a member of a support staff to treat a customer in this manner.
    Day 5: I get an update from the (non-escalation) team asking me if I'm still experiencing the issue. This couldn't be a bigger waste of time. I responded that yes, I am still experiencing the issue.
    Day 6: Now I'm here. I still haven't received any real support since Day 1, and definitely nothing from an "escalation team".

    The last update has been me confirming that I am still experiencing the issue, and have heard nothing since yesterday around 12pm MDT. At this point, I'm afraid to even update my ticket because of the line at the end of this article on Bethesda customer support hours: "Please be aware that updating your ticket will put it at the end of the line and delay response time."
    Link: https://help.bethesda.net/app/answers/detail/a_id/36814/kw/update support ticket

    Since I am now downloading the game through the Launcher, I have some hope. I won't update the support ticket until I hear from a member of the "escalation team", just so that it doesn't delay my response time further.

    So, my question to ESO now is: "What the hell, man?"

    No customer deserves to be treated like this. Personally, I work as a System Administrator, so I'm very familiar with the way that ticketing works (or should work). The response times, general lack of empathy, and complete and total disrespect given to me cannot be understated. I'll be happy if I get into the game, but my experience with the ESO team has left me with no hope of receiving any support in the future.

    If I have another technical issue, I will assume that I am 100% on my own. I really don't see a point in submitting a ticket to the support team if this is the kind of support that is provided.

    Hello
    I say thank you :)
    Lots of things tried, hoping it works for you or other players.
    I'm on Windows 8 and nothing works for the moment, except to install the game elsewhere and copy it afterwards. And still sometimes it doesn't work.
    I made a ticket to the after-sales service (detailed) and I had the answer to update my direct X mdr ^^ (short)
    The first problem is that very often the software that we have to update or install does not work with our operating system. So already the first problem.
    The second problem that is the most important to me (and I often tell other after-sales service) is not for me to fix your game.
    I buy it and it should just work.
    Why do so much manipulation before being able to play, it's really nonsense!
    And why since the big update it's not working anymore, it's not up to me either to find out why, it works before so it's up to Bethesda to find out what they did for its plant like that.
    Good luck everyone, hoping to find our launcher operational before having to switch to windows10 or 11 ^^
    (By the way I also have crashes on Windows 10 mdr)

    PS: Sorry for the bad translation :)

    Update:

    I was able to get into the game!

    However, I did have to complete a few more troubleshooting steps after the download completed. After clicking the "Play" button, I was greeted with the error message "SensApi.dll is missing".

    I briefly lost hope, but persevered! I was in this deep, so I wasn't about to back out now.

    I would call this next bit a fix, but truthfully it's more of a workaround than a true fix. I managed to get around this by running an SFC scan through a CMD prompt run as Administrator.

    If you're seeing "SensApi.dll is missing", perform the following steps:

    Click your Start menu
    Search for CMD
    Right click CMD and choose "Run as Administrator"
    When it opens, type "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes)
    Walk away from your computer and let SFC do its job until it is 100% complete

    If you're having trouble with the above steps, you can reference this link for more details: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/use-the-system-file-checker-tool-to-repair-missing-or-corrupted-system-files-79aa86cb-ca52-166a-92a3-966e85d4094e

    After letting SFC do its job, you will be able to open the game and login! Or at least, I was able to.

    There appears to be a few issues with the game that weren't present before. Namely, I'm seeing the following minor issues:

    I still receive the "SensApi.dll is missing" error, but the game loads regardless.

    The game cannot take screenshots. I see the message that a screenshot is taken, but no screenshot is registered in my local folders.

    The game crashes upon logout every time without fail.

    None of those three issues prevent me from playing (now that I've performed all of the above fixes), but they are indicative of some major problems on the client.

    I am still waiting on a response for my ticket. I'm hoping we can work together to solve more of the underlying issues and find out why this is happening in the first place.

    As it stands, the PC Recommended System Requirements for ESO still list Windows 7 64-bit as its primary operating system. That's not even the minimum specs. Those are the recommended specs. I'm not positive this is being taken into account from a design perspective, as all of these issues that came up with Update 32 appear to originate from a user having Windows 7/8.

    Hello again

    Ahaha I'm laughing lol
    Everything you marked I got it ^^
    For the file (finally the DLL): "SensApi.dll"
    You take it in system 32 where it must be, because in addition it is already there!
    And you copy it to the game client's directory and to the launcher.
    I copy it in both since I didn't know where to put it ^^
    And I no longer have the missing DLL message.
    And indeed when I quit the game just like you, the game systematically crashes.
    See you soon for a new adventure;)

    Another tip for windows users to try:

    open command prompt or powershell as admin.

    "netsh interface ipv4 show subinterfaces" to get a list of interfaces and see what the current MTU is.

    netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface “interface name from previous command here” mtu=576 store=persistent

    This will set the MTU to 576, a common value from my dial-up days.

    If this fixes it, then try 1492 or 1452. The launcher and client can not handle fragmented packets. But the steam client and all the other programs can. Just the ZOS ones can't.

    Is there any news on an update/work-around for Windows 8 users yet?

    Have the error since October 5th (day AFTER the Oct 4 patch)
    Could patch without problem, login even after restarting my launcher (old habit, to make sure everything went right)
    Next day, Error 210, while nothing was updated/changed on my system

    eso64.exe helped me through October, but Updating & Playing has become impossible since U32.
    And with still more than 9months open on my ESO+, I would really like to get back in the game...

    Note: yes, I contacted support and they said to keep an eye out

    I'm running Windows 10 x64 and I'm getting Error 210. I haven't seen anyone else in this thread mention Win10. I can't get to the support site ("this site can't be reached" - separate issue) and when I select to run a repair, it just gives me the same error.

    A month or two ago my launcher stopped working which prevented me from updating on my gaming system that runs Win7sp1. So I used a test system with Win10 which also has ESO installed to get it updated and then copied the files locally to my Win7 gaming system. I had tried all the ZoS "What do I do if I get Error 210" https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/22414/kw/error 210 support page with no joy.

    Weeks go by and today I decided to try, try again! I found this thread, tried many things, rebooted many times, and finally got it working! Before I go into it, my Win7sp1 has auto Windows Updates disabled since MS started pushing out telemetry updates and Win10 nag updates. Now, I only do updates manually so some of the updates below will probably be installed for folks who have Windows updates set to auto. This is what I did:

    1) apply 1msi/hotfix and 2x other hotfixes (these 2x may already be installed for others and probably did not fix the ESO issue):

    1a) Update to enable TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 as default secure protocols in WinHTTP in Windows - MicrosoftEasyFix51044.msi
    1b) kb3140245-x64 - windows6.1-kb3140245-x64_5b067ffb69a94a6e5f9da89ce88c658e52a0dec0.msu

    1c) kb4490628-x64 Servicing Stack Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4490628) - windows6.1-kb4490628-x64_d3de52d6987f7c8bdc2c015dca69eac96047c76e.msu
    (probably not involved in the ESO launcher not running)

    1d) kb4474419-v3-x64 Security Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4474419) - windows6.1-kb4474419-v3-x64_b5614c6cea5cb4e198717789633dca16308ef79c.msu
    (probably not involved in the ESO launcher not running)

    2) create 2x registry sub-keys to set DisabledByDefault=0 which means TLS 1.1 and 1.2 can be allowed:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.1\Client
    "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000001
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Client
    "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

    DisabledByDefault=0 reg file:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\SSL 2.0\Client]
    "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000001

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.1]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.1\Client]
    "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2]

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL\Protocols\TLS 1.2\Client]
    "DisabledByDefault"=dword:00000000

    3) use regedit, do Find..., only check Look at = Values, and search on SecureProtocols, I had 5x hits, set all 5x = a80 so the entries will all be 0x00000a80 (2688):

    SecureProtocols=a08 reg file:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2319226300-2055695537-2925667802-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
    "SecureProtocols"=dword:00000a80

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
    "SecureProtocols"=dword:00000a80

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp]
    "DefaultSecureProtocols"=dword:00000a80

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\WinHttp]
    "DefaultSecureProtocols"=dword:00000a80

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
    "SecureProtocols"=dword:00000a80

    I think the issue is a combination of the WinHTTP TLS settings in the operating system *and* how the ESO exe calls and uses WinHTTP.

    When this first started for me, I tested my web browser, Firefox, for TLS support at Qualys and Browserleaks. Everything checked out, I had support for all the TLS levels.

    But, the ESO launcher host.developer.log has entries that seem to indicate there is only TLS 1.0 support and not TLS 1.1 support:
    "HTTP version not as expected [1.0 != 1.1]"

    So I initially set the SecureProtocols=aa8 in the registry (not a08 which works). aa8 enables *all* TLS levels: 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 plus 2.0 and 3.0. And the ESO launcher FAILED with aa8 - why? The aa8 setting should allow TLS 1.1 and 1.2 which the ESO launcher needs.

    On a lark today I decided to try SecureProtocols=a08 which *only* enables TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 and then the ESO launcher works! My client updated and I'm all good.

    What I think is going on is ESO calls WinHTTP which *misinterprets* the TLS support check and fails. On an ESO launcher failure, the host.developer.log says:
    11/29/2021 19:09:58 HTTP version not as expected [1.0 != 1.1]
    11/29/2021 19:09:59 WinHttp request secure failure [Details: 0x80000000]

    ZoS Support: Please consider changing how ESO launcher uses WinHTTP and how it logs the results. I think there is an issue with it failing when TLS 2.0 and TLS 3.0 are enabled in addition to 1.0/1.1/1.2 - at least this is has been my experience on Win7sp1.

    ZoS Support: Also, the host.developer.log entry "HTTP version not as expected [1.0 != 1.1]" is unhelpful since I got it when my ESO launcher kept failing *and* I get it now even though the ESO launcher starts fine now and gives me the PLAY button or updates and then the PLAY button.

    "HTTP version not as expected [1.0 != 1.1]" issue with host.developer.log, 2x bad partial logs and 1x good log, all with the HTTP version error:

    Hello
    Thank you for this delicate explanation ;)
    Unfortunately some programs like HotFix, don't want to run on my operating system!
    that would be so much better ^^ But I have such a setting that I can not afford a total reinstallation of the PC :)
    I will review for the registry and tell you what it is.
    For the moment I tried the launcher yesterday.
    1 / He can't find the manifesto.
    Installing it manually doesn't work either.
    2 / the repair sends to error 210.
    And to correct it he says that the lol manifesto is missing
    We turn arround.
    Maybe someone could tell me where exactly it the manifesto is hiding and if there are multiple places I copy it from my PC where the launcher is working?
    Good game everyone

    I see this issue is still not fixed. I uninstalled back then and went and played another game for a month or two, and just came back to try and see if it's fixed, and nope, still does the same thing nearly 2 months after it was reported.

    Downloading game installer from account it loads up, goes through the basics, first time it tries to load the launcher, it still just hangs permanently on load screen and will never progress. I have been unable to play the game ever since because it won't even install, and there's no backup, or other computer to install it from/workaround.

    Dug through and this thread is now approximately 15 pages deep buried in general discussions (My comment will bump it), so I imagine they want you to just forget about it, and not deal with the issue.

    (My bad, didn't manage to catch the 'edited by which specific mod' for the previous one, and it'd deleted it after my comment. A problem with your forums possibly?)

    My words :

    Since they keep editing me, to try and change what I said, and lying about what I'm saying, I'm going to point out exactly what they did.

    In this thread : https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/588406/launcher-stuck-on-loading-even-after-fresh-install#latest

    I asked for help. They literally just locked it, with no help being given, just a link to this thread and no ability for me to discuss the matter (In said thread) ever again as they had locked it up (And their rules state you cannot make repeat threads about the same subject, so because it's locked, and I can't open another thread, it basically means they are going to ignore it, and as per their own efforts, they have told me to 'discuss' the issue here, which I am TRYING to do while getting silenced repeatedly.). Then in this thread, they ignored what I said, and did nothing to fix the problem, and proceeded to try and use their customers to 'solve their issue for them' while suggesting 'fixes' that involve possible damage to devices due to messing around in the computer registry which can easily lead to a damaged or defunct device{s} if the wrong changes are made and/or provide openings for hackers to access your device by adjusting protocols that were intended to keep it safe from outside access.)

    Now they are using 'moderation' as an excuse to silence me, from being able to even talk about the issue, while saying you can't talk about moderation (Per their vaunted 'rules'), thereby denying my ability to gain any help for said issue because they have locked the thread, AND nobody is willing to talk about it in the location they directed me to AND they are needlessly locking down what I say for an arbitrary 'don't question moderators/censorship' thing AND have locked down my request for help for no reason whatsoever other than to 'condense' an issue into one place to supposedly make it easier on them, thus making it so I cannot discuss the problem in that thread, as I was directed to this location and it was locked.

    See the cyclical ridiculousness of this all? Is it any wonder I walked away?

    This is called poor customer service. You can call that 'bashing' if you want, but when you literally silence people who paid you money to play a game, and then turn around and break said game making it non-functional after they've paid money for it, you're BREAKING THE LAW by not providing said paid-for service. So while you're accusing me of 'breaking your rules', you're BREAKING THE LAW in many nations. But I've been civil, for the whole time, and I don't take kindly to people editing what I have said to change it to give your viewpoint how you want it to be, OR lying about what I have/have not done, or even worse, just deleting what I say to turn around and portray yourselves as not having done a 'wrong'.

    Meanwhile, I STILL HAVE YET TO RECEIVE ANY HELP FOR SAID ISSUE I ASKED FOR HELP FOR IN SAID PREVIOUS THREAD THAT I WAS DIRECTED HERE FOR, and have only received mocking and destruction of my words which are all we have online. There have been repeated/numerous others in this thread that have suggested fixes, or even suggested rescinding what they (The staff, OH NOES THEY CALLED YOU OUT, BETTER MODERATE THEM! Can't have anyone questioning anything you do! /sarcasm) had done until a proper fix could be released.

    None of that happened, and it's been broken/non-functional for over 2 months now. Like, literally, cannot play, OR PAY YOU ANY MORE MONEY type not-functioning, because you have a non-functional game and companies only care about money, and usually are willing to fix said product to be functional if money is still provided for said product (Which that tap has been shut off, because you broke it, and because of sub-par service in general and an over-bearing monetization model to begin with, thus making sure I'll definitely make sure to tell anyone I personally know not to bother/waste their resources upon your company after this fiasco, lucky for you, I'm a small fry and my opinion only matters to a rare few, but I am a LONG TIME GAMER who will refrain from ever purchasing another product remotely associated with your company after this, thus drying up any future funding you would have possibly received because of this behavior.) If stating that I will no longer fund you, because you won't fix your game is 'bashing' then you should probably read more reviews because I'm not even giving one, I'm just stating my personal experience with your company here.

    I'm sure you'll go out of your way to just delete everything I typed again, rather than help the customer, (Note : literally the definition of poor customer service.), but you're only hurting your brand, your company, and your bottom line.

    I HAD hoped to be able to return as I had met an OK guild and we'd begun doing guild events together and they are probably wondering why I just up and disappeared and I have no outside game contact info for them (I had only been comfortable speaking to them in in-game chat and haven't figured out Discord yet so I didn't write theirs down.) to tell them you broke the game and that's the only reason I've not been around lately, as I don't generally do well with people commonly nowadays due to a social phobia in RL and they'd been understanding/worked around the issue and had invited me in after lots of my being unsure/not knowing whether I could trust them (As I've been harmed online repeatedly over the years due to various mental health issues/physical issues by people mocking me/shaming me/abusing me.). Feel free to give ObserverTim of Rusty Old Dragons (Think that was the name, it has been two months, mind.) my regards, as it's obvious you people have zero intention of helping me, and are just busy cutting me off/making sure I can't say anything in regards to this BROKEN GAME.

    And the question we can already ask ourselves is how are we going to put the patch in place by the launcher if it does not work? :)
    So a patch issued by Bethesda (therefore Microsoft oulala (humor)), becomes mandatory since the launcher is irreparably broken.
    :'(
    Good luck.
    Ps: of course a patch to download next to the launcher that's fine

    And this thread is once again 16 pages buried, and still no fix has been implemented and nobody has addressed the fact that I cannot even use your game THAT I PAID MONEY FOR.

    Also, Thorgal makes a very valid point, even if a fix was put in, since your launcher is busted how would we even install any fix unless you revert the change?

    The game worked just fine on my rig up until whatever you did right before my post to alter something relating to TLS. Revert that change so I can play again until you figure out what you broke and/or 'force' our computers to install whatever you're trying to get installed without our go-ahead by end-running around and telling us to implement registry edits.

    This is not a 'the customer needs to go find some fix' situation, this is a 'your program is broken and will not function and if anyone with Windows 7 or Windows 8 BUYS YOUR GAME (thus paying for a product you are refusing to provide) and then can't install it due to this issue you will get sued down the road by someone else wanting their money back'...situation. I'm not even that person, I just want my game functional again, but I can foresee this being a problem for you down the road, and while it may not involve a lot of lawsuits (Because yes, many people have moved on from these OS) you're certainly liable here because you're falsely saying you'll provide a service and then not providing it. (Your system specs requirements shows it functions on these. It currently DOES NOT.)

    I am not threatening a lawsuit either, before you go making edits to my post, I'm just pointing out what future inaction on this front can/will likely bring to your company, and while you MAY think that us signing your long ToS makes sure you're not liable, a court of law is unlikely to agree with you on the matter when you've taken money for a product and then refused to provide it.
