Yeah! Guess I'll miss out on daily writs and my daily reward. Experiencing the same issue. Glad to know I'm not the only one.

    Good morning from Germany.

I can confirm the same problem with the launcher.
First long loading time, then Error 210 pops up incl. REPAIR button instead of PLAY.
Everything was fine about 24 hours ago.
    I'm also a Windows 7 user. (Win7 x64 Pro)
    Playing on NA Server.

    The report file states:

    pinging: launcher.bethesda.net

Ping wird ausgefhrt fr launcher.bethesda.net [159.100.230.100] mit 32 Bytes Daten:
    Zeitberschreitung der Anforderung.

    Ping-Statistik fr 159.100.230.100:
    Pakete: Gesendet = 4, Empfangen = 0, Verloren = 4
    (100% Verlust)

Meaning 100% packet loss for the address.

Will play the game directly via the .exe file for now.

Windows 7 here to, I had the same issue and tried everything I could find via google, no success.

In the end, ZOS support was able to help me. I had to re-install my Graphics Driver (Geforce GTX 970) which also had issues itself (GeForce Experience not opening). I followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXHmg238Ccw

What I found interesting, is that during the installation of the Graphics Card driver, the software said that my Windows 7 Security files were not up-to-date and I think this was the root cause. Sadly I didn't save any of the details. I also couldn't connect to Steam friends-list, which was resolved then to.

Good luck! ZOS Support was amazing in this, all you need is patience for the moment.

I clicked this guy below and I was able to play! I missed my dailies for yesterday because I was trying to fix this, thinking I had to use the launcher... Kinda peeved but whatever.

When did you do that? Yesterday or today?
If it's from another time, i think it's a different problem as it's unlikely so many file's from different people got corrupted just as the same time.
If it is from yesterday, i wonder how fast the responding time from zos was.

On a strange side note, i also had an issue with the graphics driver today. Well, it was more an outdated driver, but i could install/upgrade without any issue and it didnt change anything. However i did not use "clean install" because it was before i found this thread.

I am on Steam, I don't have the eso.exe launcher option.

I haven't done anything to my system, was working fine yesterday. This is something ZOS has done in the meantime, hopefully they can reverse/fix it. Sucks to miss out on event tickets through no fault of your own.

    https://steamcommunity.com/app/306130/discussions/0/3084394448721244140/

Looks like this is a problem with Windows 7 not enabling TLS 1.1 by default for the WinHTTP API. Zenimax must have updated the launcher site today.

I was able to get things to work by applying the fix in KB 3140245 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/update-to-enable-tls-1-1-and-tls-1-2-as-default-secure-protocols-in-winhttp-in-windows-c4bd73d2-31d7-761e-0178-11268bb10392).

Specifically I had to install the "Easy Fix" link (https://download.microsoft.com/download/0/6/5/0658B1A7-6D2E-474F-BC2C-D69E5B9E9A68/MicrosoftEasyFix51044.msi) to make the necessary registry updates, NOT just download the Windows update itself.

We shouldn't have to reconfigure our computers to play a game we've been playing for seven years. Last time I tried to install a Win7 update it locked my system up, and I had to do a system restore. I had no problems logging on yesterday, but there's no "Play" button on the launcher today.

Guess, ZOS can't be blamed for this one. Using an outdated OS and not worrying about anything can have some consequences. Maybe blame MS. As long as they just produce rubbish like 10 and 11, they should still support their last solid product as well, called 7. ^^ :D

You aren't playing the game you were playing seven years ago, you are playing a vastly updated one. You are also playing it in a vastly different world where things have become obsolete, usually for security reasons, computers have become way more powerful which itself breaks and requires some of the cryptography is changed and keys expire for the same reasons your bank cards get updated/replaced. The threat model has changed.

I'll try the MS EasyFix. My question is this: Apparently the 'fix' was released months and months ago, yet there was no issue with ESO (or anything else on my computer) until this update. What is in *this* update that borked it, if that is the problem for so many?
