We're hiring a few testers, it isn't just a single position.
Also just to clarify since this question has come up a few times - this particular position is only for US residents.5 -
aetherial_heavenn✭✭✭✭✭Although Gilliam and Alcast are not available for the position, it would be good if they were om the recruitment panel. (And paid as consultants.) This would give the usual recruitment suspects on the panel some insight into players QA concerns . It is not unusual for specialists to be consulted when recruiting for such positions in QA.
The knowledge required is specific and situational. I'd like to see Zos use the suggested players' specialist knowledge to select appropriate candidates.
Recruitment costs are paid off long term if the right candidate is selected. This is especially true of technical roles where recruitment generalists may have no insight into the skills needed in the position and there is only a small QA team in the organisation /on the panel so group think/conservative selection ('someone like us) are a problem.
