If it's fixed on the US server already, it will probably be fixed after the maintenance this night on the EU server too.

Are you playing on the EU server? If so, look for this fix to arrive after tomorrow morning's maintenance.

That's all great, but how about a compensation? Some players have been stuck for a week. Me, I have "only" been stuck for 5 days....6 including today, it's evening for me already and I'm going to sleep soon. So 6 days of playtime I paid for I was unable to progress. Question:how much do I want to pay for next month? When is next game breaking bug waiting for me? How long will it take to fix, a month?
I don't want to sound mean, but I think it'd be fair if you gave us back the time we lost.

um no you could still play the game, just not go forward. Think on how this would make others feel just because they didn't get to this bug yet. Kind of how anomalies are now useless to farm, and many people missed out on that.

Would be another story if you couldn't log in

Anomalies were being grinded, and they made it pretty obvious they don't like people grinding and want us to quest instead(it being way too difficult and utterly unrewarding as vet is another story). If they think grinding is wrong, that's fine with me(tho plenty of people seem to love the idea). But if they think progressing is wrong? Well, I might reconsider paying for next month.

Yeah, I could log in alright. Except that I don't PvP, don't roll alts, don't want to do Craglorn just yet and don't repetitively run dungeons. I also wanted to rush through that one main quest and get to AD. So...you know how much stuff I could do during these 6 days? I paid because I wanted to play my way with the char I liked. Having broken MAIN questline for a WEEK is unacceptable as it effectively halts ALL progress(for me and, pretty sure, many others).

Also, far as those who haven't reached this bug yet/surpassed that part already go - they're very lucky and I envy them with all my soul because they didn't get to be stuck for 6 days.

Can anyone confirm that this bug has been fixed on the EU server? I didn't see it in the patch notes: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/105696/
I am unable to log in for a few hours today but am hoping to get through this quest tonight. I play ESO for the quests and storyline and it is a bit haphazard not being able to follow that through!

This bug should be taken care of now, but for sure let us know if you still run into it. Also, for your viewing pleasure: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/109018/patch-notes-v1-1-4#latest

Your subscription pays for access ALL of the game. You don't get to have compensation just because the one part you like isn't working at the time. you still have access to most of what you paid, again even if it's stuff you don't want to do, you still paid for it, have access to it.

My example was show that there are people who will encounter this bug, and happily move on to something else. They hear that someone got FREE game time because they made a big deal about the bug, saying the exact same thing you say. Now the person that was happy to move on feels bad because, they had the exact same issue, but is not going to get the game time. People like this would flood CS, because now they feel entitled to said game time.

Exactly. It pays for access to ALL of the game. Which I didn't have.

The sad part is, while I really liked the game, if that sort of ***(excuse me, I'm usually very civil) keeps happening, my subscription will soon stop paying for any of the game. I couldn't care less about other ppl and their compensation, my problem is them(devs or whoever gets to decide there) thinking broken main questline is fine.

It took them days to acknowledge it and a WEEK to fix, like it's some minor bug like, I dunno, lack of horse trinkets(those that horses get at lvl 30). No big nice apology to soothe our hurt ego, no compensation. It's not about me being unable to pay for those 5 days, it's about how it shows - or appears to show - they don't care. What it sounds like(to me, at least) is "oh, you paid to acces ALL of the game but now can't access 1/3 of it because main questline is broken? Shut up already and go pvp or smth, and don't forget to renew your subscription next week!"

EDIT: Clearly that's about how ZOS think and they wouldn't consider a compensation. That's just another -1 to them. If they expect ppl to pay them every month, they might try to stop treating them like ***.

Because honestly a buch of these issues affect the minority. All customer support people that I have talked to have been very polite and apologetic, THIS IS THE PEOPLE I TALK TO. Of course there are going to be some people who don't follow through with their jobs, but group these people together is pretty unfair. Their are some who like to help people with their issue, but some yes will not care. They do not want the issue to be there, If it took time to acknowledge it, it means it took time to look into the issue. You think something goes broke they are just going to pop in immediately every time and say that they can fix it. No, it takes time and investigation, Resources, if the issue is hard they may need to take people off other projects just to help. And what you are asking has other implications. These things need to be thought through before just handing out free time. You want some good faith, try giving some first, because honestly this should be a big deal that a quest in an MMO is not working at the time, It's annoying as ***, but honestly the main story is not what MMO's are about, despite the fact this is what you like, this is only a small part of the game. And to say they are failing at this, is just your uneducated opinion, because you don't know what they are doing, so you just make up what ever pops into your head, and call it fact

May I ask what lvl you are? You either have the patience of an angel(when it comes to MMOs, at least) or haven't been playing very long:)

I'm a very nice person, honestly. I always try my best to think good of people. But by now(here since early access, vet 6) my good faith is kind of all gone. I've had broken quests that were reported numerous times in beta, falling through the world twice every hour, more broken quests, broken dungeon, error 209(or whatever it was, that stopped me from logging in for a day or so), rollbacks, bugged skills, accidental ban, more broken quests, overbuffed vet mobs, and now broken main quest which worked fine before their patch. What do I pay for again? At this point I almost wish it was f2p and they'd just make no patches at all as every patch seems to break more stuff than it fixes. I don't like thinking this way, trust me, but my faith is out. And I don't see them doing anything to bring said faith back, I don't see the company showing it cares.

Besides, far as my "uneducated opinion" goes, try reading the forums. You might not have noticed but I'm not the only one having problems.

VR3, crafter, almost die all the time if i'm not carfull, and I say uneducated int eh sense of "You don't know" not calling anyone stupid. Most of those issues, you have I have never had, so I can safely assume that your system isn't liking the game too much and the changes in it when they patch. But this will happen to a minority of people and they will need to adjust something in their computer. Eventually Zos will come out with another change that will fix it for more people but this will take time, and information from affected customers. Forums is a good place to get more information, but this is the number one place when the uneducated come together, and many of those assume they know what they are talking about. The forums is a minority of the game's client base, Yes you a re not the only ones affected by these issues, but to assume this is a bad game because you are part of the minority that is affect, is one of these uneducated mistakes. I understand that you gave it a shot and that you we're not completely satisfied, but even though you wish it was better know. the fact is it's not, and you will need to wait. So the only problem here is, Do you want to help support this game or not. It is completely your decision, most of us know that the MMO genre never starts out perfect, and never stays the same for too long. All that matters is how you see this, and if you are not happy then you need to just unsub and move on, cus all this complaining will get you know where, you may think that is what ZOS wants, is for us to let them know when we are upset, but really the only thing people are upset about, is waiting,

Ah...er...may I ask how me being banned is an issue of my computer?o_O Or me having broken quests 99-100% of other players seemed to have, too?(This one "uneducated guess" is based on zone chat - ask ppl if quest worked for them every once in a while and seeing if you get a SINGLE positive reply)

And if you were lucky enough to avoid these issues, glad for you. Also good for you and explains your position:) I used to think so too. I think that was some time before being oneshot by a "trash" harvester 5 times in a row.

And you're right, I'm upset about waiting. I don't think I should wait and waste my paid playtime in order to be able to play the game which's been out of beta for months. You still have patience to do that, this is good.

"Most of those issues, you have I have never had" Keyword is most. Ive had broken quest that I would have to wait a week or two on, but most of the time everything was fixable on my end.

I'm still not convinced on the VR difficulty issue, since I'm not too far in, but I know that VR is supposed to be hard, and that you need to stay out of special attacks unless you are specifically resistant to it. Bot and bugs come with the territory. Guess I'm not on when the bots are, or they are somewhere else, I know they like to move from place to place, but i find them in dungeons.

It's ok to be frustrated at wait time, I spent an entire day catching up on public dungeon achievements, and i was irate by the end. But if it gets to that point where you actually think you are wastin your money, thats when you just need to go ahead and unsubb, give it some time or move on to the next game. Stil Lots of games out there. E3 is making me want to get an XB-One finally

Good for you. I mean, really good. Alas, bad feeling leftover by hundreds of bug tends to accumulate as their quantity ever grows:(

There's little to no bots in vet territory, at least some good side of it, guess they can't automate main story or smth. Far as difficulty goes, I don't want to discuss it any more today, there's already so many places where I ranted xD

I'm actually a little bit locked with this game:) I'm not a gamer so much, never played MMOs and only games I regularly play are actually quests. I did however, to my great surprise, enjoy TES for its freedom and abundance of storyline and beautiful scenery, which is why I'm here. But if I leave, I leave for good(not to imply this'll be such an irreplaceable loss for the game, just that I won't jump to Wildstar or whatever other game everybody is talking about).

AAAhhh, then I feel i could have been a bit harsh, since you are new to MMO's, I also enjoy the stories of games, more than the gameplay. These are demanding games, and it might be a good Idea that you only play through for the story. THat technically was my only motivation in Warcaft but I never got to get that far unfotunatly
