Are you playing on the EU server? If so, look for this fix to arrive after tomorrow morning's maintenance.brian_mccreight215b16_ESO wrote: »what fix? its still bugged
That's all great, but how about a compensation? Some players have been stuck for a week. Me, I have "only" been stuck for 5 days....6 including today, it's evening for me already and I'm going to sleep soon. So 6 days of playtime I paid for I was unable to progress. Question:how much do I want to pay for next month? When is next game breaking bug waiting for me? How long will it take to fix, a month?
I don't want to sound mean, but I think it'd be fair if you gave us back the time we lost.
Anomalies were being grinded, and they made it pretty obvious they don't like people grinding and want us to quest instead(it being way too difficult and utterly unrewarding as vet is another story). If they think grinding is wrong, that's fine with me(tho plenty of people seem to love the idea). But if they think progressing is wrong? Well, I might reconsider paying for next month.Fairydragon3 wrote: »That's all great, but how about a compensation? Some players have been stuck for a week. um no you could still play the game, just not go forward. Think on how this would make others feel just because they didn't get to this bug yet. Kind of how anomalies are now useless to farm, and many people missed out on that.
Would be another story if you couldn't log in
This bug should be taken care of now, but for sure let us know if you still run into it. Also, for your viewing pleasure: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/109018/patch-notes-v1-1-4#latestCan anyone confirm that this bug has been fixed on the EU server? I didn't see it in the patch notes: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/105696/
I am unable to log in for a few hours today but am hoping to get through this quest tonight. I play ESO for the quests and storyline and it is a bit haphazard not being able to follow that through!

Yeah, I could log in alright. Except that I don't PvP, don't roll alts, don't want to do Craglorn just yet and don't repetitively run dungeons. I also wanted to rush through that one main quest and get to AD. So...you know how much stuff I could do during these 6 days? I paid because I wanted to play my way with the char I liked. Having broken MAIN questline for a WEEK is unacceptable as it effectively halts ALL progress(for me and, pretty sure, many others).
Also, far as those who haven't reached this bug yet/surpassed that part already go - they're very lucky and I envy them with all my soul because they didn't get to be stuck for 6 days.
Exactly. It pays for access to ALL of the game. Which I didn't have.Fairydragon3 wrote: »Anomalies were being grinded, and they made it pretty obvious they don't like people grinding and want us to quest instead(it being way too difficult and utterly unrewarding as vet is another story). Your subscription pays for access ALL of the game. You don't get to have compensation just because the one part you like isn't working at the time. you still have access to most of what you paid, again even if it's stuff you don't want to do, you still paid for it, have access to it.
My example was show that there are people who will encounter this bug, and happily move on to something else. They hear that someone got FREE game time because they made a big deal about the bug, saying the exact same thing you say. Now the person that was happy to move on feels bad because, they had the exact same issue, but is not going to get the game time. People like this would flood CS, because now they feel entitled to said game time.

The sad part is, while I really liked the game, if that sort of ***(excuse me, I'm usually very civil) keeps happening, my subscription will soon stop paying for any of the game. I couldn't care less about other ppl and their compensation, my problem is them(devs or whoever gets to decide there) thinking broken main questline is fine.
It took them days to acknowledge it and a WEEK to fix, like it's some minor bug like, I dunno, lack of horse trinkets(those that horses get at lvl 30). No big nice apology to soothe our hurt ego, no compensation. It's not about me being unable to pay for those 5 days, it's about how it shows - or appears to show - they don't care. What it sounds like(to me, at least) is "oh, you paid to acces ALL of the game but now can't access 1/3 of it because main questline is broken? Shut up already and go pvp or smth, and don't forget to renew your subscription next week!"
EDIT: Clearly that's about how ZOS think and they wouldn't consider a compensation. That's just another -1 to them. If they expect ppl to pay them every month, they might try to stop treating them like ***.

Because honestly a buch of these issues affect the minority. All customer support people that I have talked to have been very polite and apologetic, THIS IS THE PEOPLE I TALK TO. Of course there are going to be some people who don't follow through with their jobs, but group these people together is pretty unfair. Their are some who like to help people with their issue, but some yes will not care. They do not want the issue to be there, If it took time to acknowledge it, it means it took time to look into the issue. You think something goes broke they are just going to pop in immediately every time and say that they can fix it. No, it takes time and investigation, Resources, if the issue is hard they may need to take people off other projects just to help. And what you are asking has other implications. These things need to be thought through before just handing out free time. You want some good faith, try giving some first, because honestly this should be a big deal that a quest in an MMO is not working at the time, It's annoying as ***, but honestly the main story is not what MMO's are about, despite the fact this is what you like, this is only a small part of the game. And to say they are failing at this, is just your uneducated opinion, because you don't know what they are doing, so you just make up what ever pops into your head, and call it fact
