What do you not like about playing ESO?

If a friends asked you what you did not like about ESO, what are the bad points of the game, or what specifically about ESO upsets you, what would be your response?

What is it about ESO that might make you not want to log on and visit Tamriel?

What is it about ESO that may keep it from being a king among MMOs?

For me the troubles with grouping and some phasing issues. That is about it though.

I would say other people triggering YOUR quests before you're done reading, or quests being finished for you because you were within x amount of yards when someone else triggered it and was on the same phase as you.

I want to read my quests. Each and every one and I want to decide for myself what pace to do it at. That's my biggest pet peeve so far. Everything else is minor and they will fix/adjust/evolve in time.

I would say that what I like the most is the ability to meander around an area at whim...and what I like least is the forever-questing (and/or grinding, most often a mix) required of vet levels. When they raised the cap to 12 before I had even reached V3, I was like "forget it."
This is all part of the game.

I get really tense when I play, makes my shoulders hurt.
Devs should probably look into that.

I would like to see more possibilities to level from v1 to v12. I mean, questing is fun but dungeons are almost not to complete with random groups. So if they would put something in that direction into the game would be great.

Is this the official daily - 'What is 'wrong' with ESO" thread of the day? It has all the requirements, including raw meat like in 'what stops you from logging in' and with the implied 'if only those morons in ZOS knew what they were doing', they could be 'king'.

I like 48 things about the game, but I am sure you don't want to hear any of those. Two things need work; 1 -the ability to click on a fellow player and send them a message - easily, smoothly, even in the heat of the action with RMB. 2- stackable items (automatically).

Why should you be so concern about ESO being 'king' of MMOs btw, are you considering investing in it?

Worst about ESO? It's not a sandbox (or themebox/sandpark). But I take it for what it is. The single player focus - as in single player game - is a tad bit annoying at times, as is the fact that those rare instances of grouping are sometimes not working, most of the time not rewarding or just fall short due to low pop in vet zones.

Other than that it's been the lack of direction and interaction from/with the devs. Seems that's changing a bit, though they're still dodgy about most problems the game's got.

Yet it's still not enough to make me not want to log in and I still get my enjoyment out of the game. But there's a whole lot of room for improvement and I keep watching closely and my expectations in check.

The light armor/staves to medium&heavy armor/stamina weapon balance is even worse.

I would never not recommend this game..... beside the few bugs, that will get fixed.

You cant improve a bad foundation....eso has a awsome foundation, graphics 4 star, pve 4 star, pvp 4 star out of 5....... best game out there.... add the dye colors, and guild cloaks, rock and roll

What I hate most are the jurks that only care about themselves and the QQing about the game.
FYI - There is no such thing as 'night capping' in a world wide MMO.
FYI - There was no paid Beta. When they launched the game the Beta was over, even if you don't think it was.
    FYI - It's B2P not F2P. There is a difference.
FYI - It doesn't take any player skill to mash keys or buttons in this game. The ones that stay alive longer have the better internet connection and speed.
FYI - The game is not broken, it still works. It just has 'bugs' that need to be fixed.
    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

Example: There were hundreds of Jedi and only two Sith in Star Wars. The Jedi wanted, "Balance in the Force" and they got it. Now there are only two Jedi and two Sith.

    Balance is a "Bad" thing.

@Blackwidow‌ Good question though I can't help but wonder if he means all the ones who complain without offering a single bit of proper feedback and just want to rant and rave without telling ZOS what they want to see. At least I hope it's that xD

    Rant:
It's more of a single player game that allows you to play with people that annoy you. I hate 90% of people in zone chat. There are a few cool people though. I couldn't quest with my friends unless we were all on the same quest, on the same step, the moon was full, and we had each made a blood sacrafice at exactly 2am the night before. PVP is a big meh. It's only fun for about an hour a week.

First, you assume that I saw the other post and that is incorrect.

Third, you infer that I'm trolling and that is incorrect. I'm stating what I don't like the most about the game and the people playing the game are part of the experience. I don't like these types of people.

    1. The fact that I have to quest to progress. It's the focus of the game but I need to be able to break up the monotony with dungeons and PVP, and not feel like I'm sacrificing progress for fun.
    2. The fact that I can't play a weapon focused warrior or rogue because the balance is so out of whack.
    3. The lag in Cyrodiil.
    4. The bugs in Cyrodiil
    5. The power gap between levels in Cyrodiil.

That's pretty much my main issues with the game; the balance and the problems present in my preferred playstyle. While I realize that questing is certainly where the 'meat' of the game lies, I just don't feel like spending a monthly fee on something that provides -only- that. I expect a good dungeon and PVP experience as well.

    - The fact that it's almost impossible to find any roleplay because of the way the phasing system works. Sure, you can travel to your friends, but that's not enough because you still can't find much random roleplay which is, in my experience, what most roleplayers want. Being able to select that you want to be put in an RP phase with other roleplayers would help tremendously and make this among the best platforms for roleplay out there.
    - Lack of chat bubbles. Also an RP issue.
    - The incredibly slow levelling. Part RP issue, part not. As someone who enjoys multiple toons, it gets frustrating to have to level tenaciously and diligently for 1-2 weeks before I get to a level when I can access the zones in which people usually roleplay.
    - Other people in solo dungeons and solo quest instances. For all of Zenimax's talk of immersion, there's awful little of it in that which makes up most of the game; questing and levelling.
    - German and French people everywhere. I have nothing against Germans or the French, it just takes you out of the experience when half the people you meet speak in a language you don't understand. Not sure how this could be solved.

    - The way this megaserver/phasing/sharding system seems to basically be a way to force people to cooperate against their will. It keeps feeling like I'm being more and more pushed to awkwardly interact with strangers, and torn further and further from my friends. I hate it. It feels more lonely and frustrating than questing alone while -knowing- that there is a server community around me ever felt in other MMOs. I realise that it's unrealistic to hope for, and I realise that there are probably a couple of pros to megaservers as well, but I just want the old type of MMO servers back (which other MMOs seem to be in the process of abandoning anyway). Server communities are undoubtedly the best part about past MMOs, in my opinion, and ESO has nothing of the sort. It just feels like I'm drowning in an ocean of strangers and while I can certainly -talk- to my friends, I'm unable to ever get out of the chaos.

If not for megaservers/phasing, I would recommend this game to everyone I know. As it stands right now, I have instead discouraged people from getting it.
