Besides the obvious (forced-solo instances), the grouping dynamic could use some work. A group member may well have completed talking and have gone on somewhere else, but you wouldn't know as you stand there asking the NPC all the questions.

And then there's the whole phasing piece between group members...

Tried phasing lately? Several evenings in a row now, I been grouping in Vet areas, on different quests and still, no problem with the phasing.

Might be lucky.....but phasing have vastly improved since May.

What I really do not like about ESO are these the topics on these forums.

    Then don't read them.

Certainly don't feel the need to post and bump them up for others to read them.
It would be nice if the quite big player base would feel welcome on these forums.

If the personal attacks would stop, like you calling my post garbage, then maybe they would feel welcome.

Part of being in a big player base is accepting all points of view.

FYI I also made this thread.

There are only a few things I don't like about the game. The main issue I have are:

    - The lack of ongoing skill leveling when you reach Veteran that would put you on par with enemy zone attacks. It's been proven several times that an enemy will do 700+ damage to a player with the same attack a player can only do under 300 damage with.

    - Lack of other players in Vet 6+ zones. Therefore you end up sitting there with your character asking for help on zone chat to do Dolmen's and WB's or waiting for another player to ask for help. It seems to get worse with each new level.

    - Loot not being given by WB's all the time. Even if you haven't fought one for several hours. It just sucks and takes a good deal of the fun out of it.

    - The elitist attitudes of a small group of players that like to troll and make unwelcomed comments to others who are having a hard time with, or even unsubbing from the game in both the forums and zone chata. Especially since most of those elitists have been playing MMOs for the last decade or more, while in contrast many ESO players are actually new to MMOs. Many cannot handle the meshing of the two. But the elitism and wars that happen in the forums, etc turn a lot of people off the game because very few peoples want to deal with others like that.

    - Lack of true balance between each of the classes and their abilities. Players shouldn't be forced to re-spec their character in order to defeat mobs in the next area. That's not really playing the way I want to play my character.
Far too many characters to list any more.

    1) The class balance is hilariously bad. Like, HILARIOUSLY, bad man. Damn bad.

    2) The armor skins need massive amounts of work. Less sheeny shiney and more "Can take a hit in this".

    3) In this day and age, why in the all the known Hells do we not have a Dye and Customization option from the get go? Not placed in later, but from the god damn beginning. Seriously, what gives?

    4) Armor skills are horribly unbalanced.

    5) Weapon skills are even worse.

    6) Why is magic and magicka based builds so much stronger than melee and stamina based ones? Or even Bows? Hell why is every developer in the past Ten (10) years in the Video Game Industry to god damn infatuated with Ranged and Magical combat? Why does melee keep getting stiffed, and if they aren't why is it always dual wielding that gets all the love?

    7) Again, armor looks kinda bad. Like, too cartoony even for me, a cartoonist for *** and giggles.

8)Veteran Content? Like, leveling all over again? Are you ***? Why would you think people would enjoy that, that's a terrible idea. Hell it screams "Cop Out!" so strongly I think I pooped out a cheese brick somewhere while typing this.

    9) Speaking of which, why the hell are the VR Mobs so damn strong? I don't mean the bosses either, I mean the supposed to be soloable trash mobs. Dear god man, bad design is bad, did you not listen to your beta testers?

    10) PvP is annoying as hell when 2 out of 3 factions decide to team up on the last guy. Also doesn't help that ZoS seems to have MASSIVE favoritism issues and can't even be *** to hide it in the least.
Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!

The absolutely terrible servers, and what seems to be coding. There has been a lot of improvement, but still far to many crashes and UI bugs.

Played on Saturday night, and had phasing issues with my wife's character. Either I or she would complete something, and her character was replaced with a floating ^.

In other cases, I'd still be talking to an NPC, and my wife's character was long-gone by the time I was done. In all fairness, she does that outside the video game world too: I'll be browsing in a store, thinking she's still next to me, and she'll be on the opposite side of the store. :D

Would really like to see ESO adopt the phasing system used by SWTOR, where all grouped players see the same content simultaneously.

    I don't like phasing.
I don't like the complete absence of daily PvE activities and/or bonus for helping others in dgn already completed.
I don't like that i cannot play Cyrodil for 90% of the time because 1 day stealth is bugged, then silver bolts instakill you, then ''insert faction'' farms you at the gates, then a traitor steals the scroll...c'mon, really?!

The community. Most are whiny little cry baby's that had WAY to high of expectations for this game. And plus most want every class nerfed but the one they play. Other than that the game is amazing.

@Blackwidow I could list many of my own gripes to this list but I think they have all been stated except for one and that is ZOS itself. They have created this community. It started with the billing crap on launch. You have to subscribe to play what you have already paid for even though their VP stated it wouldn't be this way. Then they put holds on peoples account for the full amount. All of that just felt sleazy.

All the continual nerfs and doing some in the stealth fashion just pisses people off more.

Take a look at the forums and see what they actually choose to comment on and how they do it. When asked a question they rarely even answer. And when they do you get some cryptic answer that makes you feel they are more interested in covering their butts than helping a person. You have to beg for patch notes and every time you wonder what they did that they aren't listing or why.

This does not feel like an MMO to me, they have put up so many barriers to people coming together; things like; multiple guilds, no auction house, Phasing system, no mentoring, solo only quests. To me this game is built for consoles and should probably stay there. I have played MMO's where it is more like a team spirit between the Dev's and the players. But to do this it takes honesty on all parts.

If a friends asked you what you did not like about ESO, what are the bad points of the game, or what specifically about ESO upsets you, what would be your response?

What is it about ESO that might make you not want to log on and visit Tamriel?

What is it about ESO that may keep it from being a king among MMOs?

Playing the same character through all three factions is the only thing I don't like. Other than that... awesome game!

Hard to say wich feature I dislike the most, but I have 3 major issues with the game:

    1) I dont like that each time you make a new character you will end up being the same character as the first one sort of, following the same steps doing same stuff.
In other TES-based games you could make a mage and go join mage guild etc and live a magicians life, next playthrough you could go dark brotherhood or fighters guild and have a complete other experience. In this one you need to go all guilds to get the skills, and you are forced to play the other factions areas to get the vet ranks with each character you will play.

    2) Limits on where you can choose to go. One would have hoped the game would open up at some point. You never get the feeling you are in this big world, its all limited zones with 100 quests in the way to get to next. the zones are well designed and very immersive tho, but still I dont like how the world is handled,

    3) Lack of consequences. You choosed to be a vampire? then fighters guild should shoot you on sight - not "high five" you sharing beer & bread. I feel they could have done this so much better, lots of factions and groups of NPCs in the game you could have been able to side with to gain acces of services or items in shops or whatever. And doing that could have had impact on some opposing factions making you their enemy for siding with that faction.
I really dont like that my char always gets to be the big savior and best pal with everyone. I mean, didnt even seem Molag Bal had that much anger with me for kicking his ass.

    What I don't like?
    ->Class imbalance.
    ->Guild Store/Bank UI
->Lack of any distinctive "bad influence/choice" in the game. I know some of us don't like it, but if a guy wants to be a racist alter that condones the racism at the College of Aldmeri Propriety, then I say let him. Becoming a vampire just means a few tedious feeding and more powers. I will be concerned if this trend continues well into the future crime system....heaven forbid if Dark Brotherhood members are allowed to walk as DB murderers in broad daylight in the towns and cities.
-> VR content, though I am not there yet, is really raising my concern. Is it really as bad as they say? If it is, I want improvement.
->How linear my questing is. I never actually played a sand-box MMO, but it was always to my understanding that TES has been very non-linear in its franchise. I sort of expected the same thing here, only to be basically told what/when to do things.

Good point. Player choice should matter, just as it did in single-player TES games.

the loading and the three loading screens in towns need only one where it needs it the most and not seeing enemy players due to them not loaded on your screen and they kill you and the lack of rez in cyradil for pve that and the load screens popping up in the middle of a fight killing you

This is the only reason I've "ragequit" while playing this game.

While ESO is an excellent game, the object count and complexity is not significantly higher than in other games I've played on this and lesser hardware.
So for it to take as long as it does to load content sometimes indicates to me that there is a significant problem in the engine.

I first reported this issue during beta (around September of last year) and the fact that it has yet to be resolved bothers me a lot more than the balance issues or features that have yet to be added or could be improved.

Perhaps the most galling is that they thought that throwing a loading screen on top of the delay was in any way an improvement, when it does more to destroy their stated ideal for the game (immersion) than any other issue out there.

    1. classes - no freedom of choice. classes are evil itself, stopping me from using whatever ability combination I wish to use.
    2. Altmer appearance: 'pretty' (this I can survive but), lack of the black hair colour for in character creation (although many Altmer npcs have it and they were showed in promotional materials). they should be taller than the nords.
    3. idiot named ayrenn and lore sorrounding her. water down Altmer lore
    4. limited moral choices; I was forced to help lesser races at the College of Aldmeri Propriety - totally unacceptable.
