Not sure if someone mentioned this here, but it would be great if we could craft more armor styles. No I'm not talking about motifs. We can only craft robes (light), jacks (medium), and so on...
It would be great if we could craft a jerkin version or light armor. I know jerkins can be looted.

I'm loving the game so far, and excited about the upcoming work on integrating dyes, as well as pet commands for sorc's. I would like to see more work done with Werewolves as they are still completely lackluster as they are right now. Decreasing the ultimate cost was a step in the right direction but it still needs some work. I'm also begging that you consider putting in armor appearance slots and not just a costume system for complete unique looks. I roleplay my dk as a rough dw legionaire and the later tier armor's for the imperial racial don't do it for me. I prefer the lower level gear's appearance and would like to continue using it.

Thanks for the heads up. Some of these additions sound very promising, others are desperately wanted since release. Special thanks for the update on the EU server migration!

I`m just wondering, since PvP was (how I perceived it) advertised as one of the major contents of endgame and reason I bought the game, will there be more focus on the development of PvP in the future?

I`m not talking about campaign rulesets, but implementation of the imperial city, state of the game dev discussions and such. At the moment I don`t feel the same PvP enthusiasm and priority from dev side as shown prerelease. The amount of official replies in the pvp section of the forum is quite disheartening.

    Regards

Can someone please educate me, and I am serious now. I play DK and have since early access. I play tank and tank alone.

I normaly dont listen to whining here and there, but there are way to many people who complained about DK being to good and even DEVS have confirmed that they are balancing them.

1 ability I know, its the Magma armor, which I made a post about myself, being a tank and use it a lot. It was poping way to much really. And even if thats good for me, it doesnt seam very balanced.

They made a change and lowered the duration. Also, I dont build up to it as fast anymore. I feel it works decent?

WHAT else is so overpowered with DKs? I do NOT want to play a class that someone can tell me I am only doing good because I am a DK!

I am pure tank, using heavy armor, with 2 pieces of medium for the stamina regen. My best damage ability is my taunt, the rest of my skills are for tanking in groups, which are many different abilities.

I do not mean only PVP, but overall.

Dyes seriously looks like only good thing.
And sadly this "Road Ahead" shows that they only listen to people who whine the loudest.
IF Light Armor/Staff combination would be fixed, all that Sorcerer/Dragonknight is OP threads would subside, however the team seems to be ignoring this completely and instead took the road of nerfing classes.
I really have to ask why all non-mages are being kicked to the curb, stomped on, skewered with hot pokers and thrown into acid, repeatedly? These are far bigger issues than new content or dyes.

Love dyes being implemented. Really hate the idea of dyes being attached to achievements. I like alts, though alts already seem to be obsolete in this game due to the VR system. I roleplay several different characters. I don't want to have to get each and every one of them to VR12 in order to get any dye I want. Bad idea in my opinion!

Yeah I agree. Attaching them to achievements seems to me that players will be forced to play content that they usually might not play. For example, pvpers don't necessarily like to dungeon crawl, quest etc and vice versa.

Put them in game, on a vendor and let ranks unlock color sets. Bam! Reward for leveling and everyone has access who wants. Everyone happy happy happy.

Bad idea. Then there's no rarity or fun reward for achievements and playing well. No thanks. Everyone NOT happy. :) We need more things to actually care about earning in the this RPG and look forward to obtaining. I understand a handful of people RP and that's great, I'm glad you enjoy that, but you can probably RP just fine with a shade lighter gray instead of pure black. Let us have something to earn too and have fun with as RPG players.

I hate PvE and in that picture it shows that I have to complete one of the weekly trials in game to get that color. So it forces me to play something that I normally would not. Many people will be put off by this. At least in GW2 you spent gold to get the dyes (for the most part), it is part of the economy.

Exclusion is never good. Items should be rare. Some achievements should be rare. Cosmetic features should not be rare.

Your stab at RPers is laughable. Why must people resort to some form of attack/insult when they do not agree? I feel bad for the RPers who are taking it slow in game and will have to wait until vet content to get black dye. Ridiculous.

So basically, 'full speed ahead and damn the torpedoes'. Nothing about replacing the 'now just go be a traitor and fight inexplicably Super-Skeevers' VR content?

Offering bigger carrots to jump through a hoop won't solve the problems when the hoop itself is the problem.

It's all very well to offer more goodies for those who can grit their teeth, don't mind having their intelligence insulted and grind the VR content.

You need to worry about the people who take a look at it and say 'FTS' and take their money elsewhere.

    @ZOS_*

How about commenting on the hottest topics?

    - Weapon and Armor Skill lines balancing
    - State of the Templar class
    - Veteran and max Level Content problems, or if it is working as intended in your eyes

You know communication is two way, and it starts to look like you don't get it.
Even if i think you do not ignore players, it really would make sense to discuss things with what is left of your playerbase.
A valid reasoning helps to understand changes, even nerfs.
You could also present hard facts, you surely have statistics of Trial runs, level speed for different builds, class distribution and so on, with the data you could clear up misconceptions that exist due to limited, subjective perception of the game.

If i go just through posts its more than obvious in what shape this game is. What concerns me even more is the future of this game.
It seems that ZOS is living in one universe and majority of players in other. People are not satisfied . Future of this game is vague. People are quitting . ZOS doesn't get that. Mat Friar sounds like everything is under control . Its not . Not even remotely . Look at posts again. What u see ? Most of people show deep dissatisfaction with how game is as of today and show negative emotions . All in all state of the game is just melting willingness of people to stay with the game.
Most of people speak about stamina /magicka builds disbalance . Sort that thing out. Matt stop being busy. Play that NB of yours and you will understand what your job should be . Just sort real problems/priorities within this game.

Thank you for all the work so far and all to come.

I think a lot of people are not remembering or realising that unlike standard games, online, especially mmo type games are ever changing and will always evolve with new additions and yes, bugs. Bugs happen with higher level code and the amount of different parts that need to synergise with each other. The more detailed, the more complex, the more bugs can happen. But, fixes also happen.

impatient isn't going to change that fact that mmo's will always have bugs, has anyone played an mmo where no one has complained of a bug?

But things evolve, developers fix and improve and add new parts which due to complexity and the requirement of the new parts fitting with the old parts, bugs happen.

MMO's are a long term operation, not a release and patch for a couple months until the next big game comes out. They are communities and generally last several years. That means that MMO's are a constant work in progress.

As an MMO the majority of us have played many MMO's and should realise this.
Yes it would be nice if everything was 100% on day one, but then again without things changing and without balancing do we invest as much in our characters, our classes?

do we not get behind our class and feel we fight for their recognition?
isn't that a part of MMO culture.

For this game, ESO, I think many who are playing enjoy this environment and universe and feel a lot of potential is shown. I am excited for this potential and I want them to deliver. Be given the opportunity and support to deliver.

Im looking forward to all that's coming and while getting stuck in door ways and stairs, having a nightblade main that is an exploration in what I can do to make things work. Im having fun.

Still, MMO's are a community activity and I am lucky to be part of some good guilds and have met some good people out there in the ESO world.

If we can do more of "Lets play with what we have been given and make the most of it" instead of "Lets complain about what we haven't been given yet"
maybe we can have an even better time as a community until more fixes and updates and content has been release and at that time we will have even more new toys to play with and get behind.

    tldr:
    Yay dye!

there is ZERO reason you need new materials to make dyes. its simple

all the materials in the game right now, can be used to make dyes. (as a system)
you know all that water you keep looting? you know, ones that make lvl 3 potions, ones that make lvl 10 potions?
those are the grade that tells you how dark you dye is going to be.
the lighter the colour, the lower level the dye is.
and the potion making items, they are you colours. bugloss and cornflower for blues. dragonthorn for oranges. nirnroot for greens.
2 for a pure shade, one of each thing to make a mixed shade.

you want spanky achevement stuff? fine, take METALIC SHINEY DYES.
wander around in shimmery stuff. let the rest of us have some fun.

for the shades you cant find with plants, use ground up gemstones and ores and wood. for the darker shades you still cant make, use enchanted dusts (enchant the ground up material side
and remember, the skill your character has at potion making / enchanting restricts what level of dyes you can make, no need to further rub it in that, if you arent maxed, you are guar doo on the bottom of the sandle. we have enough to remind us how unwanted anyone that isnt maxed level allready is. telling us to rush to the never ending so called 'endgame' just so we can look different from the friggin bots, is un needed. WE ALLREADY KNOW YOU HATE US SLOWPOKES

    let me say it again.

metalick dyes for achevements, basic dyes for alchemy. and pure white / black from a quest.(but it can only be used on the accent part)

achevement only dyes are bad! M'kay?
give a range of things. there are plenty of meaningfull ways to make achevements mean things. blocking (all) dyes behind them is NOT one of them.

Especially since these Dev heads up posts are normally met with unwarranted praise, a game needs to be in a sad state to produce such feedback.

Slightly worried about the "Itemization - stat boost" part.

Hope it doesn't affect PvP too much where it becomes a Gear vs Gear game instead of Player vs Player (ie. like in so many scenario/warfront PvP Tiered games). I'm ok with gear differences, but not when the differences are so huge that it becomes impossible to kill someone who runs the "top tier" gear, no matter how much skill you bring to the table.

Thanks for the update @ZOS_MattFiror, @ZOS_GinaBruno. I had a question first, then I will go on to comments.
Are "more Veteran Dungeons, and another area of Craglorn with an all-new Trial" coming with Update 3, or are they further down the line? I wasn't sure from the statement.
    • Class and Ability Balance You are saying that DK is overpowered, and NB is underpowered, but others suggest this is not the case. What instead you should be looking at is that magicka-based abilities are overpowered, and stamina-based abilities are underpowered, meaning a light armour/staff build is the epitome of overpowered-ness. Fixing the magicka/stamina balance I think would also fix the issue people are reporting with Temps and Sorcs as well, and would not incorrectly nerf aspects of DK which shouldn't be nerfed. [This comment was extrapolated from previous comments, please correct me if I misunderstood.] On a related note, I play a Templar (Dawn's Wrath line) and don't actually know what problems people are experiencing, as to me I think it has been fine.
    • PvP I also would like to see more details on what new content is planned for PvP, either as an addition to the existing campaigns or as new campaign types.
    • Player Customisation I like the idea of dyes, and as long as only a few are tied to achievements (so there is a tangible reward for the acheivement, aside from titles which don't occur very often), and most are not, this seems like a good idea. As others have said, please no vibrant, non-Elder Scrolls colour options. On a related note, I would like to see, at some point, a Shrine to Dibella (Goddess of Beauty) where you can go to change your character's appearance for a gold fee.
    • Delves I'd be interested in hearing more about this rework of delves, and what it would mean if we've already completed them.
    • Quests As long as reworking quests doesn't affect their story and objectives, and is only a backend effort to address the layering issues, this is a good thing. I wouldn't want to see the actual content of the quests themselves changed.

I'm also looking forward to hearing more about the Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, Justice System, Player Housing, and other content for solo PvE, and would like to see PvE repeatable/daily quests outside of Cyrodiil. I think the reasoning behind this though may be that these updates would cater more to single-player TES fans, who are potentially playing through the game at a slower pace than MMO vets, and are not ready for new solo content as they haven't finished what's already there yet (this is me). The devs at the moment are chucking out new content for the people who are ready for it, namely the people who play MMOs for the raiding and group content experiences.

I would have to say I don't think the DragonKnights are too power or stronger than other classes. I haven't tried any others but I see other chars join a small battle I'm in and they do more DPS than me and they are using similar gear/setup. Take today, for example, I was fighting 3 VR2 goblins and getting worked over little, than someone in medium armor using a bow take the one of the ones I haven't touched yet out in 3-4 seconds w/o using a spell or skill. I'm a VR2 Nord DK with armor/health stats around 1700/2100. I use a sword/shield combo and a bow. I don't feel I do the DPS I should be. I don't know if any others feel the same but sometimes I can go through a section and own it, then I go somewhere else in the same zone and get owned. Still love the game and the VR areas are harder than I thought.

These guys don't get fact that their statements from very beginning are in opposite from their actions and that behaviour creates huge dissatisfaction. For example we will buf NB's in patch 1.2 and than instead of that they are nerfing siphoning strikes which is one of rarely distinctive NB spells which people consider useful. They are nerfing Siphoning strikes - by how much - nobody knows . When we will know- on patch release - maybe. Even more they will say at the end - sorry guys that was bad tooltip from beginning.
I think that before they do anything should tell us what they want to do with each class as guide line coz this lack of vision is confusing us and we cant plan our chars at all.

Note : i dont have anything against nerfs or buffs as long i know what is the purpose and what alternatives i have. Even if they really tackle balancing issues they dont stand a chance to do that properly if they dont make two separate tables : Spell X in PVP and Spell X in PVE.

Where is the alternate VR leveling system for those of us who do NOT want to have to play the other 2 factions with one character?

This is gonna be the deal killer for me if they do not give us some real VR1-VR10 content other than the 2 other faction quest lines.
