Yep, Destro+Healing staff also makes nightblades OP. It is the fact that magicka based skills scale better in terms of damage. But any class can be OP if they have destro+healing staff+immovable. Nightblades can tank a raid with bolstering darkness and save their allies, the heal is strong while the other morph gives poopy AoE damage.Nox_Aeterna wrote: »Any class with a destro/ resto staff is God mode this aint any different.
Melee is nowhere near as good
This.
Destro + healing staff iis a great combo for any class really.
Templars are good healers mate , im not going to question that , i love the burst heals , but a sorc or a Dk will probably get more control/defense/dmg when using the destro staff than you.

1. You equip a Destrostaff and a Restostaff to get the passive Bonus from both, right? Does this Bonus from the Restostaff Passives counts too, if you use the Destrostaff for AOE? Work all the Passive Bonus all the Time from both Weapons or only the Passives from the Staff you actual use?
2. Do you use the Purify Ritual Morph which negates more Debuffs or do you use the Morph which last longer and heal more per tick? Why do you use the Choosen one? More Heal sounds good for Group Support and you can spam it to negate more then one Spelleffect in Emergency?
3. Is the Heal on the Backlashmorph it worth, does it heal much TP? If you use the Backlashmorph to burst and make Damage, why you doesnt use the Morph who gives a Power Bonus to Attacks?
Only Questions, i think this Build have some nice Options to Play another Style as the other Ones. Thank you for the nice Input....

I am vampire Templar bow/1 hand shield (5 medium armor, 2 heavy) build and I got through all the PVE quests to V10 without issues, but getting owned PVP (yes I have to learn to play)
I am looking at your build and numbers and it looks worth a shot.
So just a few questions
If I switch to this Destro + Resto build but keep the vampire and go to 7 light armor
Fire resist on necklace jewelry
Armor on the two rings
Willows Path (5% spell critical) on three armor
Seducer (3% spell cost) on three armor
Infused on (head,chest and legs)
Divine on (shoulders, belt, boots and gloves)
Will upgrade all armor to gold and gold enchantments (yes its not really worth it but I have the parts)
@monkeymystic What destro staff type? fire, lightning, or frost?
Any advice on the armor setup/jewelry I listed above?
Then again, patch 1.1 should be next Tuesday at the latest, so I guess I should wait for the new cap to kick in before redoing all armor

1: When you equip a resto staff, you get both the resto staff passives and restoring passives, which means 2x healing passives from 2 healing skill lines which stacks.
For most passives, they only count when you actually use that weapon, so you have your heals slotted on your resto staff bar for both passives.
2: I use the morph that negates more debuffs, and costs less magicka. You cast dispels so often that it refreshes anyway.
3: Both morphs are decent, but I prefer healing over weapon damage for this. If it was spell damage it would be a different story!
- Decreased the amount of ultimate generated by area-of-effect damage spells.
- Impulse: Increased the Magicka cost of Impulse and its morphs.
[**] If you have spent skill points in the Impulse ability, you will have those points returned to your overall skill point pool. They can be re-spent in this ability, or invested elsewhere.

This build is killed by 1.1 because the magica drain is now only on the first hit of a DoT and not the tics as well as only on single targets. Impulse is significantly higher cause and your ultimate won't be charging on ultimate.
Also 1v1 ultimate is boosted, so DK is now pretty unstoppable 1v1

Then don't complain when another class with destro + resto combo faceroll you, and say their class is "OP" or "templars are weak" because you choose to run around spamming weak 2 hand abilities.
That`s the point - melee is weak and needs a buff badly... before they lose all their players enjoying that style and you only have mages fighting each other.
