can't login to the game and no answer from customer support!!!!

    am i the only one who thinks they should start a beta server with the option for anyone to log into it at sign in (using the new content as bait) to more properly test these patchs before rolling them out?
    There is a Public Test Server (PTS) already... you can access it in the launcher options. The problem seems to be that 1) serious bugs reported by players using the PTS didn't make it as fixes into 1.1.2; and 2) the players on the PTS only got to see 1.1.1 so any new bugs as a result of 1.1.2 were only tested by ZOS QA team and not a larger base of players.

    Maybe they thought the changes from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 were small enough that they didn't warrant a PTS shake-out, but I hope they've learned their lesson.

    You can also try the following workaround:
    1. Close both the game and the launcher
    2. Open the game installation directory
    3. Open the folder named "Launcher"
    4. Inside the "Launcher" folder, there is a folder named "ProgramData"
    5. Rename the "ProgramData" folder to "ProgramDataBackup"
    6. Open the launcher and download update
    7. Click "Play"

    My only issue is I have no idea where to find this "Game Installation Directory"
    Any ideas?

    So, I made a small research.

    PC restart
    Router Restart
    Run as Admin
    Firewall Off
    Tried a fresh install on my notebook
    Tried from mobile net (another provider)
    Tried through my friends VPN tunnel - applied on my router (Germany)
    All combination of these points - some points are from official help topic for 301 error. :disappointed:

    Main HOME server - the EU megaserver - IS NOT WORKING for me - Error 301 or Time out.

    So I changed the launcher to NA mega server, downloaded the client and voala, I was successful, I am able to log in on the NA server and play, just on my HOME server not. So IT IS now clear that it is server side problem!

    It cannot work because it no matter on which PC you try its not the PC its the Account!

    I have also been unjustly banned. yesterday I got into a pug group to do dungeons in craglorn. On the 3rd dungeon we discovered we could summon the boss multiple times using the summoning stones looted from trash mobs (This is the only way to summon the boss). Score, right!? So we did this twice and then decided to take a break because of rl reasons. Hours later while pvping with my guild I crashed in Cyrodiil. After crashing I discovered I could not log back into the game and that I had been suspended on the website. I am so confused how this could be determined as a banning offense. I am halfway to v11 (still v10) and I started at v10 after playing all day and only running the so called exploited dungeon twice. I did not even suspect that could be an exploit as we were just using the summoning stones provided to finish the dungeon.

    I got this reply to my support ticket early this morning:

    I have no idea what I was banned for and why or for how long?? Considering some people are actually exploiting the craglorn dungeons and are v12 already I cannot begin to understand why I would be banned over them.

    Same problem for me, get either 301 or simply "timeout".

    Got stuck on a loading screen during teleporting from one zone to another for about 10 minutes and had to force close the game. After that I can't log back in.

    Tried all the previously mentioned fixes to no avail.

    Ohhhhh Tristan, I'm one of the rabid EOS fans and I'm getting grumpy. You're going to "monitor this thread"??? Please tell me there's a more informed response to the login timeout issue than that...

    Seems like the customer support are bots too, they just keep giving generalized responses to things. I dont even get the error message or the timeout message. I just stay at a loading screen after i type in my username and password till the game crashes. Ive sent like a half dozen crash reports, and the ticket that i put in on THURSDAY still hasnt even been replied to. 140523-001962 is the ticket, seems like the only place that a customer support can see these is in the forums.

    Actually, I'm pretty sure it's the server side login process, not our accounts. Was trying to let others know so they wouldn't try the same solution.

    ZOS, please post a sticky saying you are aware of the issue and working on it?? I was able to play all day yesterday and had intended this weekend to be an EOS marathon...

    this problem is NOT on our end simple deduction=

    brand new pc,brand new download of game at a new ip address with no addons nothing else installed.....same login timed out error

    its been a couple of days with this error and have tried every fix listed on this site for any error out there.

    the problem for most of us started after the game crashes and asks us to send in a crash report..i was able to log in right after that but it was the last time the following morning i was no longer able to sign in after a multitude of attempts on different systems trying different fixs obviously your servers have the issue not us...its blocking our accounts even tho it does not say we are banned(most of us anyways)simple as that..start by looking there.

    Well this is false. The PTS is not open to the public, only to the 1000 people who tested the game full-time during beta. It is not open to the Public yet. And knowing some of the ppl on it and seeing the way launch was, im not surprised at the problems ESO is having.

    I hope this is their main priority now. I mean people not being able to log in is bad,Then we have other game breaking bugs D: Like my pink missing textures who appeared after the patch for some reason...

    Yes it is quit Irritating, I haven't got to the character screen since the 22nd (3:00pm PST) Only responses are looking into it / keeping an eye on it / try this again. Only update on the problem is repeat of what was said before.

    Yes, same here havent even been able to get to the character select screen since patch day. have tried all day periodically every day to no avail.dozens and dozens of times,
