Do you help other players and just walk on by?

As a dedicated healer, I do help if I see they could do with some heals but only if it is justified, I won't just ruin their fun if I see them sneaking around, trying to play smart, plan ahead etc.

I did try to ress several random people but all were afk.

I also appreciate the help if I get and I always say "Thanks" but never ever gotten even a "np" :P. A day ago I accidently thanked a bot for helping me, I was ashamed and reported it the next minute :P seeing bots dying, on the other hand, never gets old.

i use to use soul gems on random players like you, then i took a boss loot drop nerf to the inventory.

i still help people tho, but i dont even second glance at a dead player now i just keep on truckin.

i use to farm about 20 to 30 soul gems from boss's and use them through out the map on random dead players.

That nerf was awesome I could finally make money from selling them after I recharge them. Some people didn't quite realize their true worth but things are changing. I wouldn't mind they nerf the soul gem drops even further.Soul gem charging should be a possible ocupation.
You could buy 100 grand soul gems for 9000 at some point. Ridiculous considering an empty grand soul gem costs 110.

I always stop to help other players, or run through public dungeons alongside others on the same quest. It's much more fun working with other people, and the way the loot system caters for this is one of my favourite things about ESO.

If i am able i help other players out i always do. I agree with the public dungeons are great most players i encountered are friendly and helpful.

So WEIRD, all replys are people turning the tide with witty placed skills without braking a fun fight.
yet all i see in game are people trying very very hard to get one last hit in before fight is over so they can loot ... STRANGE
I do that too, why not its not hurting the other guy, more common than rescuing people as its far more common. Often we continue together if we head in the same direction to speed up the run.

however if I kill a world boss 6 or more level below me I don't get loot so I only do one hit for the achievement if the group is large.

Yes if you do banish cell normal with two level 15 and two VR10 the level 15 don't get much loot as they have problems getting the 10% damage needed for loot.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Got saved today. Jumped by a pack of spiders and backed into another, I know, I was getting tired. Almost made it but for the grace of some passing healer, I would have died.

I am just learning to heal but my killing things is coming along well. I look at the fight. If it's a struggle, I'll jump in, but a nice little twosome smoking through the dungeon does not need me frying, eviscerating or pounding flat their sport.

I always helped the odd time, but now being v1, but having not done provisioning, enchanting etc right I find myself back at the lower levels. So I find more opportunity. However I think I got a "ty" once. Oh and if their name as any combo of random letters..eg. aeeggiio or Lssggii.. I watch the destruction unfold. :)

In WoW for years I played a healer. I still use a resto staff with regeneration on my Sorcerer in V3 for my single target bar so everyone gets a heal as I pass. In vet content I have lots of opportunities to stop, knock down/cc the mob(s) and pop a heal on people in trouble.

The funny thing is getting kept in combat up to 16 seconds because of the HoT on people fighting, and finding lootable dead mobs all all over that I never touched.

It is just reflex to help anyone with a diminishing health bar or obviously too many mobs on them. Especially as the mobs get tougher in vet zones.

I was in a dungeon yesterday where some melee NB player had accidently pulled two 3 mob packs. I healed him and jumped in to help. The heal aggroed most to me. The player, now at full health, spammed cloak then ran off and left me. I lived but only because my ultimate storm buddy was up. /sigh

Still does not change how I roll though.

@madfeldoreb17_ESO I think that was my "np" because I remember thinking afterwards that "np" isn't really a proper response in ESO. Bankori? Sorc spamming elemental rings? If so, you deserve a proper "you're welcome!"

Not sure if I should have quoted the whole thing but ah anyway:
@rowdog It might have been me and you there as I do recall the name what you said and the spell I think, is the one used. Nice to meet you btw:)
What you said there above, very kind of you.
May your travels be, hmm not too easy, but not too hard either, just something that you enjoy! :)

    Cheers...

I always jump in and help. 98% of the time people appreciate it or don't say anything. 2% of the time I get flamed (right click -> Ignore.)

Just had this happen to me lastnight. Was about to leave a this place I was questing in and had finished and beat the boss. I start to walk out and notice a player who is struggling really bad, so I stop and help, in the middle of helping this player he stops runs over to a chest and leaves me hanging, I die and he walks off. I had all the enemies fighting for my life and this dude stops and grabs the chest. If it were reverse roles I would of sent a pm to the guy or girl and said thank you and that he could grab the chest.
Wow, I see it all the time though. I just don't understand, if people want to play solo why play MMO's? To me people that do this type of stuff act that way IRL also. It's all about them and the rest be da****.

Want to become Vampire? 5k @ZiRM in game.

Because sometimes even us lone wolves want to hunt in packs. I spend 95% of my time alone and it's my preferred playstyle but I definitely enjoy that 5% of running in packs too.

I have helped people kill stuff to get to nodes. I have observed from a distance and gauged if the player needs help. I have helped people every chance I get as I appreciate the assistance I have received when needed. Tamriel isn't entirely populated by complainers and children. Some of the best moments I have experienced in any mmo have happened in eso. I applaud zeni's achievement and look forward to many many more hours of enjoyable content. I am in no rush to experience "end game" content because this, for me, has always seemed like an absurd concept in and of itself.
