Do you help other players and just walk on by?

Throughout leveling you'll see many players struggling as well as yourself. How many times do people actually stop to help or do you stop and help players if needed? I'm not talking about players who are on the same quest as you, I'm talking about as your walking out of a quest as they are walking and you see the getting best up.

I stop every single time.

EDIT-UPDATED Question

Do you ever use soul gems on players, not counting pvp? Has anyone ever used one on you?

I don't use them in every person I see but there times when someone has been helping me for a while and I'll use one if I notice they are not getting right up. Nobody has ever used one on me, I understand though.

    I do it a lot.

But if you see a NB trying to sneak up on something maybe don't be so damn helpful.

The same goes when you see someone going solo against a world boss. Only help if help doesn't mean bringing +3 mobs with you and getting us both killed. :#

I drive-by heal or bail out the almost-dead all the time. I sure wish we could team on all the quests instead of this chevron crap restricting so many of them, though!

I work together with those that are in my path , but i hardly ever get out of my path to help others, outside people that ask for help in my guild.

Im vet6 , and while not everyone is a DK that facerolls 2/3 packs at once without a problem , usually i see the other players also winning and moving foward, dont really think people need help outside content that was meant for groups and some OP bosses/mobs.

I think it's good etiquette to lend a hand, especially since we don't have to worry about loot distribution on ESO.

Most people run off without saying thanks, but there's been a few times where I had someone strike up a chat afterward. That makes it worthwhile.

This one too, if I see someone fighting I always help.
Has only been ashamed once then I saved a bot as it looked like an player who had messed it up.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

I always try and help. I mean I appreciate all help so I try and return the favour.
I just hope I'm not spoiling their 'immersion".
Like if the want to complete the quest alone or are fighting a mini boss, I'm not sure if I'm actually helping sometimes if I pull aggro or what-not.
Then again sometimes you just find yourself doing the same thing in the same place and can't help but contribute to another players quest requirements.
This is good and bad, as I love how you just dynamically group, even without asking for party as you just know you are after the same goal.

I love when I heal up someone who almost dead. Almost everytime I get a invite for friend. Healers are always loved unless of course someone died then the healer sucks and isn't doing their job lol.

Helping people out is pretty nice. I like to think down the road, said person will help another.

I help out people if they look like they need it, otherwise I just go my own way.

The other day someone made a comment about my healer when he broke out a big freaking sword and that led us to just stand around talking for like an hour.

Best part of the game is meeting new people and testing out new class builds for me at least.

If I see a fight, sure, I'll help, because I've appreciated the times I've needed it.

The other day, sneaking around a corner, I only saw maybe two guys, assumed one more was there. Turned out to be five or six of them. I'd have bought if another player hadn't come up behind them.

If I see someone in trouble then sure.

Although I don't pay much attention to a lot of what's going on so I may miss some people getting beatings.

I always try to help... I did come across a couple of people who seemed annoyed that I helped. They show this by ineffectually shooting me with their bow or templer spear.

I'll help if the person is in trouble, or we are doing the same content. If not, then I let them fight their own battles, as that is what I prefer myself.

It is disappointing to be engaged in a fun fight, only to have someone come along and spoil it.

I usually run around with resto out drive by healing.

Most of the time I just heal, though there were a couple instances where one got ambushed by respawns, which I'd kill leaving their original fight intact.

That's the worst to be hit by bad timers, especially in public dungeons.

I'm a drive-by healer too. So many times I hit somebody with just a sliver of health. Sometimes if they're in a prolonged battle I'll hang back to make sure they're alright. Only thing I don't like is when somebody that is completely underleveled for content "piggybacks" off you...following you around & tagging the mobs so they can get credit when they clearly can't do it on their own.

Lately I've been helping wherever I see others doing groups .. I am V3 in the Fen's and have struggled with a few battles - so I know how frustrating it can be at times.

What surprises me is, after I've heloped someone on a quest end fight, and it's my turn to initiate the event, the ones i've just helped turn and run away to carry on with their stuff and leave me to get slaughtered.

    Here is my little story...
I was in a dungeon and when I'm in a public dungeon I help out whomever I come across to get to the final boss and skill stone. So I see this NB and he is almost dead, I charge in help clear the enemies and he survives. So we move on... the next group I start the battle... he moves right past me (in stealth) and runs down the path on his merry way. Ok... I mop up the group and move onward, come across him and he says in chat STOP FOLLOWING ME! and proceeds to spam chat with a bunch of colorful words.. STOP @#!@#! FOLLOWING ME!

It's a public dungeon and I never typed one word or communicated to him at all.
I don't get people like this. It doesn't take anything away from helping each other in this game. All people get loot and XP... am I right?

I like it when people help me out or throw me an invite to the group. It's taking nothing away from me and If I don't want to accept I don't have to. I have met more people like this than friendly people but it seems to be the nature of MMO's, or I just have Baaad luck! :)

If I see someone struggling with anything I'll pitch in. also when I see someone waiting at a world boss for more players I'll stop and help out even if I already killed the boss and am overleveled for it.

heck gave my DK a resto staff secondary specificly to help out others :p

When I see someone in trouble I will help. And there are many who lend a hand when I was in trouble. But mostly they vanish so fast that I often don't even have the time to make a /bow or say something. That's a pity sometimes....so many rushing.

haven't had that happen.. often anyway.. I've noticed ppl waiting for the event to reset for me often enough to help me out
