Kia ora,
A guildie had trouble joining us in the Night Market the other day because they significantly underestimated how difficult and time consuming it would be to set up a new character using the CP3600 template. They set aside half an hour for character creation and most of us know how unrealistic that is.
They did have one suggestion that I want to post here.
Could the CP3600 template just have everything stickerbooked? Then you won't have to dive into boxes that contain boxes that contain boxes of equipment.
If the particular PTS release has new gear being released then the new gear could still be in a (one) box so that the player can choose to test it dropping in content if they want.
You could even give PTS players a never-ending box of transmute crystals. Do we get one already?

The stickerbook used to be completely filled for CP3600 templates, but got removed some years ago for an unknown reason.

You just open boxes of the 2-3 sets/mythic then the crafting box to get your transmute geode and you're basically 90% of the way there, Just takes a bit of time max 10 mins to enchant and re-trait.@Solar_Breeze

1. Buy a house, or use the housing box twice to get a house
2. Buy merchant
3. Buy transmute station
4. Open “gear” box
5. Open location for set
6. Open weight of set
7. Open type of gear from the set
8. Take the set out
9. Repeat for other sets
10. Sell everything including what you’re wearing to merchant
11. Find and open the crafting crate, taking out the geode and the crafting material crates
12. Open all the crafting material crates just to take the upgrade mat
13. Reconstruct the gear
14. Find the consumables crate and take out the enchant box, potion of choice, and food
15. Open the enchant box
16. Open the enchant boxes for weapon, jewelry, and armor
17. Enchant the gear
18. Buy and use mundus stone
19. Attributes, cp, and skills
Optionally:
20. Buy outfit station
21. Buy lights
22. Fashion time
Takes forever, especially if you don’t know exactly where a set is from off the top of your head. Like… mind you, the mythics aren’t all in a mythic box. You have to go by release. ✭✭✭✭✭Yeah, I'm about ready for them to go back to the "the entire collections menu is unlocked on a template" version that we used to have.
It takes so long to get set up now that it's almost not worth testing when your respective server isn't on, unless you're only testing one quick thing. But if you're trying to test how it fits into the existing game (or do literally anything else on PTS, considering it's a useful sandbox for creativity as well), it's a whole process to get everything set up and unlock box after box after box (and then deal with needing to dump your inventory every three seconds to clear all of these extraneous sets).2 -
Emeratis✭✭✭✭I agree. I do wonder if maybe they could just add another template, one where everything isn't already unlocked so people could potentially test loot drops and another where it is? Could be a decent compromise.
Also, somewhat related can we get a box for crown items in the template? I mentioned before it also is frustrating for cosmetic stuff when your respective server isn't on in another thread, especially if you want to toy with crown cosmetics and the new items.1 -

I needed to unlock Every. Single. Motif. Book. One. By. One. For all 134 motifs. And then every individual box of the collectable outfits.
If you want to make it a whole new template (3600, all collectables), go right ahead. But if trying to test any thing on the PTS first requires a lot of inventory juggling and digging through boxes, only to throw all of that out and reconstruct it in the first place, then what is really being saved by boxing it all away?3 -
Emeratis✭✭✭✭Yea, I think my suggestion of a template with boxes and a new one with all unlocked so people can choose what they prefer or what Code suggested for a quick unlock consumable might be the best options for changing this. ZOS has said in other threads they're interested in changing this so hoping these suggestions give them some ideas.

It's even worse if you do Housing, because the tester boxes don't contain everything we need, so we end up having to make and delete characters to do this multiple times.
We would still need boxes, but it would help if there could at least be some "Box of Achievements" so we could just unlock them all and buy stacks of what we need, and boxes of housing items in stacks instead of singles.

One of the ways around it is to make and delete tester toons to get more items out of their boxes (time consuming; really bad if you need like 20+ of a 1-piece item, and of course some items like Pack, Crate, & Luxury still can't be obtained). Some items (all of Murkmire & more) are missing from the Housing Editor Crown Store but can be crafted. In so doing, I quickly ran out of Flour and realized that, unlike other material containers that seem to be infinite, there is only 1 crate of Provisioning items. Oversight?
It would be really nice if all materials had "infinite" boxes, and if we could somehow get multiples or stacks of furnishings.

Some tester option / consumable that unlocks stickerbook, collectibles, and achievements would be a huge help. Boxes of Crown (and Luxury) items would be amazing.
