I´m still playing ESO for the PvP and some people I´ve met along the way. I was kinda done with it but the recent changes in leadership and game direction brought me back.

So a few weeks ago the wife asked me, "What's this $130+ charge one the card?"

    I'm like, "I don't know. What's it for?"

She says, "It's something about Elder Scrolls Online."

I forgot to cancel my yearly sub after being so disappointed for paying $70 for whatever that was we paid for earlier this year. But I'm also lazy and never do anything right when I think about it. So I'm subbed for another year.

    That's why I'm still here.

This game offers many types of activities, and I enjoy most of them. I can randomly pick just about any activity and have fun playing it for a few hours or longer, so there's always something to keep me coming back.

For me it's pvp. I have done basically everything regarding PVE and I am stoked about Overland difficulty!
Pvp is really fun sometine but a pain in the ass sometime. My ESO playtime has reducerat ALOT during the last year but I still log on and play.

The game is in dire need of "updates" so I am hoping ZOS really commits to what they have said this year

    nothing really.

my 2 irl friends who i play this game with realized we were not having fun with the game, only each other.

its just a list of chores to extract money from us. (is that why you all played skyrim back in the day? to do crafting dailies?)

we are all cancelling subs. going to go outside and do things. have fun with each other and make some other memories.

you guys have fun doing your dailies!

we are going to go have fun! we know where we left you all so we might stop in and say hi, you can tell us about your dallies if we ever see you again.

what WAS keeping me here , the fact that ive put so much time 48k hours and money into the game PC and PSN accounts crown homes for 8 different accounts , loot boxes over 16 accounts .basically my retirement plan for something to do with my time since i have sleep issues that keeps me up ( some times for weeks )for days at a time ..but since 3 days ago i haven't logged into eso on any of my accounts not even for log-ins as the integrity of the game is lost in my eyes over an official eso system being restricted in favor of an add-on that already burdens the players of the game and now burdened the development team .. so to stand on my principals that an game developer should never take the back set to an outside developer ill be taking an break until the integrity of the game is back because i want to play an game developed and controlled by the game studio i give money to not some outside add-on developer

I'm here because of the werewolf gameplay. Sure, Skyrim and Morrowind have great werewolf gameplay mechanics (they really do), but ESO is the only open world MMO with decent werewolf gameplay.

I like that ESO's werewolves are your more traditional horror genre werewolves with a realistic art style, and I love how violent they are — props to ESO for letting us roleplay evil characters who can murder. I love how the Werewolf skill line in ESO encourages you to group with other werewolves, and to constantly hunt and feed — the reward for doing so is that you can continue being a werewolf for as long as you'd like. It's a lot of fun playing Werewolf with other like-minded individuals.

I can always go back to Skyrim or Morrowind, but I want to make every moment count in ESO. I really like this game and I want to stick around until the end.
PC/NA — Lone Werewolf, the EP Templar Werewolf

Werewolf Should be Allowed to Sneak
Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color), Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

I just like to see the world burn.

Maybe, if you blow on the fire, it will burn quicker and then, after ashes remain, some actual good elder scrolls games will be released?

I have been waiting over a decade for this. Finally it is truly coming.

ESO was always the main reason behind the scenes for why TES VI is in no hurry to be made. Kill it, and we will finally see the proper elder scrolls game. It is necessary. My sacred daedric dagger is always at your service whenever we can proceed with sacrifice.

The only good thing about it is tes 6 skipping the insufferable political lecturing in games era so it won’t be like dragonveil or whatever that cringe dragon age game was called

Honestly? Only events, and even that feels like a drag to me. Whenever I open the game for dailies and see an announcement banner of some event, I vent an "ugh!, another event". But I still participate, the bare minimum to get daily tickets for the shiny things.

ESO lost its appeal to me very, very long ago. The thrill of pursuing achievements, soloing contents, all went down the hill to me, specially because, but not limited to, my timezone. My last attempt of fun here is housing, but even that is quite hard nowadays given materials are so expensive and furnishings demand so much of them

TES VI isn't out yet. That's all.

Love Elder Scrolls, love Tamriel, played all the single player entries far too much, modded, unmodded, I shudder to imagine how many hours I've got across them all. Pretty much nothing left to do in any of them. ESO is live service and occasionally puts out interesting content. Though less and less nowadays, and smaller on top of it, which sure makes it progressively less attractive to me. But for now there is still something and no alternative, so what else is left?

I don't play it like a hardcore MMO mostly though, too many issues for that. Might dabble in endgame content or pvp every once in a while, but I feel like I have better MMOs for that, or perhaps rather those that fit me better.

Is it Minimap? Trader related? Something else? Don't leave us hanging, give us the details on this one eh?

Actually if you start a thread and get some traction on it, it's possible that this new management team will seriously take a look at the issue? They seem like they are trying to stick to this new dialog with the players model, so it wouldn't hurt to try I think?

Housing is the Real Endgame, glad it's keeping you going in game. :)

I recently started doing craft dailies on all my toons again, just to build up more gold for all the new housing slots coming with the next patch. Housing seriously is the only reason I do content in this game :D

Hopefully they come up with some non grindy ways to let the housing community get mats that they need so we can do what we love in this game. <3

I would never last all that long, maybe a month or so. But it was because I was playing to level up. Now I play for the story and actually read most the quest documents and listen to all of the dialogue. Most of it is pretty interesting and it makes the game a lot more engaging when you know what you are fighting for, not for a level, but for a purpose.

I've been playing ESO for about 6 years, and still haven't exhausted all the content. I've made some good friends in my guild, and enjoy playing with them though most of my game time is solo.

What keeps me here? I like the lore, the stories, the quests. My first character did the zones in the 'wrong' order, so a later one went to a starter zone to begin with and went from there. I like the immersion of the Elder Scrolls games, though do find that the more recent innovations like glowing weapons or noisy recalls interrupt that, which is a shame.

The things I spend time on vary, depending on what I'm enjoying at any given moment. Housing, questing, group dungeons or trials, they're all fun. I do antiquities etc, but refuse to grind unceasingly as that's boring. These days I'm spending less time and effort on guild trading, because the market has become so depressed and it doesn't seem worth it.

Thanks, @twisttop138 for the positive opening post. It's lovely to see what people actually enjoy :)

There is other game I play, which has flying mounts, ability to dye mounts and most of their special effects, and official currency exchange system... But it has difficult tedious overland, and not enjoyable combat with lot of cooldowns and limited buff durations :s
As long as ESO keeps the overland and quests easy, and not ruins combat, no other game can truly compete :)
I am actually very afraid that there seems to be an idea to tie the optional higher difficulty with cosmetic rewards in future - if I will have to activate any higher difficulty option in my regular gameplay, that is when the lack of some of my favorite features will make the real difference and affect my further decisions :'(

Of course, there is lot of fun currently in this game <3 Exploration, beautiful visual roleplay, housing, and seeing/interacting with other players :) Single-player games lost lot of appeal to me, after I've tried MMOs.
