So now the base event pets cost double?

SCLondon
SCLondon
Soul Shriven
The base event pets for transformation into better prizes now cost 10 ticket per part instead of 5, making the total cost 30 tickets. A 100% cost increase. What a rip off!

probably because you only need one now. so instead of needing 75 tickets for the whole year if you wanted all the morphs and the actual pet.... it would be just 30

They aren't going to be consumed for making new morphs going forward. This change will also apply to any older morphables (Nascent Indrik, Unstable Morpholith, Soulfire Dragon Illusion, Passion Dancer Blossom, Molag Bal Illusion Imp & Stonewisp of Truth and Law) once U49 goes live.

Yeah, they’re no longer morphable, so you only need one for the year instead of 5. So now instead of 3 fragments x 5 tickets each x 5 versions to get everything = 75 total tickets, it’s 3 fragments x 10 tickets each.

So technically you only need to spend 40% of what you did.

They cost more but you don‘t have to buy them x times to morph your further event rewards.

Just wanted to follow up as others have commented. The ticket cost is correct. Going forward, the base item for the morphing collectible no longer disappears, so costs were adjusted to reflect that. We are looking into possibly changing the name since it no longer morphs, but that is currently under discussion.

And @scrappy1342 math is correct. Thanks for highlighting this!

This is nice if it's in fact true. On a related note, anyone notice how Philius no longer even has the old base morphable pet fragments anymore? Right now he's selling all the fragments for Hoardhunter Ursauk, Sacred Hourglass of Akatosh, and Doomchar Plateau, but not the Soulfire Dragon Illusion, the Unstable Morpholith, or the Passion Dancer Blossom.

Nenulaure, however, is still selling the feathers for five tickets each.

Eh, I think "morphs" is still fine. Maybe just have an in-game note that it no longer consumes the original along with it.

IMO, you should've just left them at the original price, we can get them sooner, and have more rewards available.

And that will work for older pets too? What if I have pet and all fragments for second pet (stored to get missed morph parts, morph it and create pet for last time as actually pet)?

Why? Pet stay, it is NOT used for morphs so what compensation? If you wanted to have all you must count 15 more tickets for every morph, now you must pay only 30 tickets? For pet what will stay.

@ZOS_Kevin If my friend has one Nascent Indrik, but also has the pieces (feathers) for another, what happens to the pieces or the full mount already morphed when berries are used? Is that just wasted tickets? If so, that really sucks...

And what would be with extra pieces? When there is pet and pet fragments both. Deleted? Stuck in ui forever? Converted somehow?

Also, will there be any changes with displaying sections for already collected things? It's not obvious now what is collected and what wasn't even beginned.

@ZOS_Kevin I was going to ask in the PTS forum, but since you're already active here on this thread... I noticed that on the PTS, the base morph pet does stay after morphing, but it's not retroactive. For example: I have an alt account on Live that has unlocked the Deadlands Firewalker personality, which required the Unstable Morpholith base pet to acquire, but it hadn't gotten enough of the base pet fragments to make another copy of the pet. On the PTS, this alt account still does not have the Unstable Morpholith base pet, even though it has unlocked things that were morphed from this pet.

I think these base morph pets should be granted retroactively to any account that has consumed the pet in the past.

Since you're on PC, I would suggest the Collectibles Tracker addon which will give you a clearer overview of the status of all of the event morphs from every year.

I'm using it, yes. But would be much better if ui was clearer, with collected things hidden or at least marked as collected.

You will need to purchase the older fragments again. It's a tech limitation that is preventing the retroactive grant. Older fragments will remain cheaper than new fragments introduced in U49 & onwards. But you will need to reacquire them.

The Impresario's Assistant does not offer the fragments for the Unstable Morpholith pet anymore. I want to make the Doomchar Plateau on PC EU, but I have not played there during the corresponding event. So, I can buy the fragments for the house itself, but I have no way now to get the pet for it. I know that starting U49 we will not need to create the pet multiple times, but I do not have this pet AT ALL. @ZOS_Kevin Will I be able to create the house just from the house fragments or I'm completely locked out of the house on PC EU due to inability to get the Unstable Morpholith for the first time?

when they changed how they go into inventory( old ) you had them in bag/bank ( bag in my case ) , then they did fragments ( new) and started automatically being put into it own place .. i had a part (BEERY) in my bag that was then USELESS i made an ticket once i had space for recovery( being limited to 12 and it being worth 10) and got told they could do nothing for me still have it in my bank as an reminder not to hold extra parts because you NEVER KNOW when something might change and you become a**ed out after

Heh, I like old items ) have some various thing in chests. Collected things doesn't look so nice...
With ticket limits is was not predictable sometimes. At some events I had extra tickets with nothing else to buy (as I participated in events from the beginning, most things I got in time), in some events I participated less and didn't get all morphing parts... miss 4 of them, one for Molag Mal pet, three for flower. So have 6 extra pet parts now.
Not a tragedy to lose them, but would be nice if that would be converted in trade bars or something (don't think it's too difficult to do "if player has X on account give Y", same with "if player has morph and no pet, give <pet value> trade bars")

@ZOS_Kevin - is this true as well? I have Passion Blossom Pet and all 3 fragments for Passion Blossom outfit because I don't have spare fragments to replace the pet - if I wait until u49 and morph outfit, it won't consume blossom pet?
