Leave PC to their ivory tower.

Should be easier to implement aswell. Doing a mega server betwen the consoles

People seem to not understand that the main reason people want cross play is so they can keep the console accounts. The amount of effort it takes to lvl a gear a pc account is not worth it to 95% of people

    Thank you zos.

Great to see my thread is still up to date and active, since the topic is still up to date on consoles aswell!

I don't think that's the case, whenever this topic comes up much of the demand is from those console players typically on PS EU who simply want crossplay between the consoles so they can boost their server population, without any reference to, or intention of, moving to PC. That is indeed the basis of the OP's opening post to this topic in which no reference is made to your stated reason. It's a valid reason for sure, but I think both arguments are commonly put.

They want higher population without having to buy pcs or lvl new accounts. That’s exactly what I’m saying

And for the record I think cross play would be amazing and tbh it shoulda been in the game at launch or at least one Tamriel launch

Exactly this! Why whould we be punished and forced to abandon our 10 years old account to restart on another platform, just because we wanna play the game active?

I have paid a fortune for my account, i have like 10 apex mounts, i have all dlc‘s, chapters, all character slots full with full mount speed, stamina, storage - have mages guild, psijic & scribing on everything.

Have like mostly all titles, not missing many style pages and colours for the outfits.

I dont want to start from scratch on an new server but i wanna play the game with a healthy population. This is what all this is about.

I even have a PC but i refuse to abandon my 10y old account full of memories and investments of money and time.

Also all my friends who havent quitted yet are on the server, where im playing on.

I can tell you first hand from being banned, starting over is a miserable experience. This game is NOT new player friendly at all for pvp, you need so much stuff farmed out to even have a chance and even then cp difference is absolutely brutal these days so if your not 1200 it’s gonna be extra hard to get fights

Yes i can imagine. I would just not gonna do it again honestly. So i will deffo not restart on another server, just because the server i decided to play on is dying and the dev‘s aint taking action. They see the player numbers and they see, these are declining.

With the access to addons coming to console there's no longer a reason not to bring crossplay for all platforms and unite the ESO community. Nothing is impossible to do, they just need to hire the right persons to come in and make it happen.

That’s not a better solution because it just reduces the population for those still on PlayStation or Xbox.

At this point they have 10 years of content, low system specs, but decent graphics and they've likely exhausted the current player base. A few key system changes to make it a little more streamlined and player friendly and this game could attract alot of new blood. Poor retention is this games worst enemy, and thats mostly due to some obsolete ideas that have held back and stagnated all mmo's.

That's a pretty subjective assessment. Many of the current players are actually original players with quite a lot going back to beta. The reason other longer-term players left in recent years is largely the many substantial changes from Update 33 onwards that were designed to make the game more streamlined and player friendly. SWG:NGE is a classic example of how not to make changes which are designed to attract new players but which fail to do that and simply drive away the existing ones.

the final fantasy revamp worked fine. Better than fine. They are tinkering with it again this year. The only real choices are to adapt to draw in new blood or live with the decline at this point.

It doesn't hurt to dream. After all, this is software. I really like the crossplay concept.

Perhaps a mode similar to the recent ESO Cyrodiil Champion Test and Vengeance Campaign? Making system-wide rules for all platforms to even out the differences for an initial trial?

with cross server play would be eventually almost be full permanently. Not only pvp. Also the group finders, pledges, trials, more trading activity.

Its a lot of missed out potential & its frustrating and sad.

If "If's" and "but's" were candy and nuts we'd all have a very merry Christmas. ....as the saying goes.

My view is that crossplay is a mistake. The game has already suffered greatly by catering to console players.

The entire combat system was designed around controllers.

Well there you go guys. Matt Firor on the podcast said they were working on the underlying tech for cross play and they want it. They know it's important and they're working on it.

Edit. Kinda funny podcast ESO limited series, today's episode of just a few hours ago. Probably around the 20 minute area, if you would like to check it out for yourself. I was actually surprised to hear them speak so bluntly about it. No real spin or politician speak. Just upfront.
