The only thing I would change about the new map UI, is making owned homes visible on the world map.
As someone who does a lot of housing, I often travel to homes from the world map. It's good that the wayshrines are gone, but the owned houses should definitely stay IMO.

In the patch notes it mentions that favorited/primary homes will show up on the map, was that feature not working for you?
It should show every Capital city, town, and hub that has a Wayshrine within a Sub-Zoned area. For example the Wayshrines for the Sub-Zones of Davon's Watch, Ebonheart, and Kragenmoor in the Stonefalls Zone should all three optionally show on the Tamriel view of the map.The Tamriel view of the map will now only show one Wayshrine per zone.
No, Favoites are limited to a universal 100 Collections shared account wide (which is already absurd and should be changed to a per character limit). The Tamriel view of the map will now only show favorited and primary homes. You may still favorite as many homes as you’d like.
Okay, if Dungeons and Trials can be toggled on for the Tamriel Map then Player Homes need a toggle.Dungeons and Trials will no longer be shown by default on the Tamriel view of the map, but can still be toggled on.

I want an option to disable this new map style and have things be the way they were.
This is much like how Microsoft forced grouped taskbar buttons in Windows 11. It made things look "cleaner", but for veteran power users, we don't care about such superficial "cleaniness"; we want to access the specific window that we want with a single click instead of a click, mouse reposition, and second click as we were forced to when Windows 11 removed that option. Same thing here with the new map.
It's fine to have these "clean" options as the default, because I recognize that it's probably the better default experience for the greatest number of people, but it's a huge usability regression for me.
