First, thanks everyone for participating in Golden Pursuits and leaving feedback. We'll be going through initial feedback and passing it along.
Just wanted to remind folks that this is the first Golden Pursuit and that the overall Golden Pursuits system is built to be reoccurring and to scale. So some will be more challenging and take more time, while others will be short and sweet. Like we stated in the introduction to Golden Pursuits, some will be a few days while others will take a few weeks or even a few months.
All that being said, initial feedback now that the system is live is really helpful so that we can better refine the experience. Thanks again and enjoy the new Nord Hero Costume!

@ZOS_Kevin dear Kevin,

Would be a perfect time to introduce difficulty option on Golden Pursuit, everyone get the main reward but for those who want abit more gameplay out of it then 10mins in 7 days they can choose the other difficulty option and get something extra, could be telwar or anything from in game maybe a motif.
After all im here to play the game and this made me play the game for 10 mins.
This was really disapointing, not the reward but the game activity you were required to do, feels like Zos thinks there playerbase are 5 year old kids

I disagree.
If we had found hard challenges, everyone would have complained about the difficulty. We found them easy... and now someone is complaining that they are too easy!!!
I am really happy that they were easy and that they did not take much time, since the game itself is very demanding (for those who want to play it fully, of course). So thank you ZOS for the rewards, and thank you because it was not too challenging. Please, keep going like this, do not change!!!
Hope they never do this! As I do not want to be 'forced' to spend too much time doing activities I do not like, let alone hard/tough activities. There is already too much in-game dictating how to play, just let me play the way I want to play.Theist_VII wrote: »What I was hoping for, would be a system that rewards excellence and pushes people to strive to be better.
Nothing too crazy, but challenges like beating vMA and/or certain Veteran Dungeons, or scoring past certain thresholds in activities like Battlegrounds, all over the course of a month.
A system to encourage character growth and exploration, not a glorified Endeavor system.

I think there's a bit of a dilemma over how this sort of system is developed.
If the idea is to keep it short and simple, then it just becomes "Login Rewards meets Endeavours" and for most players it won't be worth the effort - which will be different for different players. Take this opening edition, 5 writs and entering your house twice for an adornment most will never use isn't really anything demanding - but then killing a world boss and doing a public dungeon aren't things I'd be able to do quickly, and for a costume I've no interest in it means I won't bother.
On the other hand, I thought the idea of introducing repeatable content was to give players who've done most of or all the game has to offer something to tide them over between content releases, and for that there'd have to be a much deeper and longer pursuit, which for everyone else would detract from actually playing the game.
I don't think we need more fillers like this one, we already have enough with dailies, writs, events, and endeavours etc. We need the reduction in the provision of new meaningful content to be reversed, with a full-sized chapter each year plus an additional content DLC, and a return of 2 dungeon DLCs but with a couple of delves included each time for those who aren't interested in group dungeon content. That's what the proper development of the game should be about, not finding new ways of enabling players to fill in an hour here or there in return for another assortment of dressed-up daily login rewards.

This was a nice warm-up. Seems a straightfoward system, and these first ones were easy to complete. Hopefully it stays that way!
Three notes:
1: When unlocking an item, there is no way to get rid of the press "F" to claim your rewards pop-up in the middle of the screen. We need to be able to choose: "Not now", and maybe let it appear on the top right below the golden pursuit tracking/pins. Until we claim it. This message does not always come at a convenient time.
2: When completing a golden pursuit part we are NOT tracking/pinned, there is absolutely no indication we completed anything. Maybe have a "Completed Golden Pursuit" golden label appear at the bottom right when we complete a golden pursuit part(similar to item/gold/endeavour pickup). Both tracking/pinned and not tracking/pinned ones should appear there.
3: Forgot to try this, so if someone could point out if this is already possible, thanks: But allow us to track/pin multiple golden pursuit parts at the same time.
Fun system. Very clear, could use some tuning, but working as intended.Hope they never do this! As I do not want to be 'forced' to spend too much time doing activities I do not like, let alone hard/tough activities. I love freedom in games, the freedom to do what I want to do. Not to do the things the game's systems tell me to do. I really don't know why players keep asking for this type of stuff, you can already go do tough challenges like vMA and veteran dungeons whenever you feel like it. All this challenges stuff does is exclude players from activities, wastes their time, and makes them feel bad. Why does the game even have to tell you to do these things? You either enjoy them, or you don't.

Actually I am pretty happy with it. I mean I belong to those folks that have a full time job for a living and, believe it or not, also family and other spare time activities.
The only complaint I would have is that I miss a sort of narrative arc to it. I would like to have a sort of herold appearing in the cities announcing that sort of activities...
