Why do you dislike the new feature: Tales of tribute card game?

All/some of the above (please, comment which ones).
    I don't play/like card games.
I think development time could've been spent on something else more important or another better feature.
It doesn't feel like it should be a full main new feature.

I made this poll back when it was announced and the community was mad about it. It wasn’t about determining how many people dislike the card game but why the people that disliked its announcement did. I went through blogs to determine the most prominent reasons and compiled them in a poll. The question you suggest is another thing entirely.

You're poll is biased and benefits the ridiculous hate machine on the forums.

I like the card game and it is a done deal that it is going to be super popular no matter how much shade haters throw it's way.

I hate the card game and I disagree with your opinion. I specifically did not buy the chapter because of the CCG.
It never got popular on the PTS. You couldn't find anyone to play.

And the fact that three weeks in the exploiters are taking over shows little thought went into the game.

It is a substitute for a real eso chapter.

I really, really like it! Once I got under rank 100 tho the games were all about who could control Sorcer-King Orgnum the quickest. It's really easy to lose control of him. I don't like the amount of RNG with card draws, though. Sometimes, you just get dealt realllly bad cards. Like with any card game, I suppose.

I like the card game too, I actually played more of tales of tribute than Eso since the release.

However, the poll isn’t biased. The poll is about why people that disliked the announcement did. It’s not about knowing the proportion of people that like the game or not.

Also, I don’t know what you mean by hate machine. If you are talking about harassment, I don’t know if we can trace any significant harassment from this poll. If you mean against the game or Zos, I think it’s important to have places where player’s dislike of the game can be expressed and even put into numbers.

My hope with this poll was that some Zos employees would see it and that the data could be used to prevent/ understand players frustration.

I just don't care about card games. I play for the main activities not minigames. It's like wanting to do the lockbox lockpicking in murkmire to get oakensoul lead except just for FUN. Like, I don't play this game for minigames like that. I want to PVE or PVP, not play cards

Now that it's out and played it, I can form a better opinion. I don't dislike it, I'm just indifferent to it and so far my experience has been lukewarm-to-negative. Here's why:

    1. Many new features have been requested that would breathe way more life into the game. New classes, skill lines, adventure zones, etc. and we got this instead. It's not to say there's no appetite for mini-games within the community, but it doesn't feel like this was even in the top 5 of the list. I can see where it's similar in scope to antiquities, so time will tell how well it ages.
    2. Like any new feature, the introductory quests are irritatingly ever-present. The nagware style of quest delivery really, really, really has to change. This alone sours it for me. I don't wanna see a quest ad in the wild, where druids are doing druid stuff, and clearly do not play card games. The game is turning into a whack-a-mole exercise to get rid of the questgiver noise between the oodles of prologues, expansions, and now this.
    3. It wasn't ready for show time. Myself, and I'm sure many others were skeptical about this, and my very first experience with it was the audio bug. So instead of being pleasantly surprised, I can't even get through the tutorial of this without the audio dialogue failing. Now, sure, maybe I could restart a few times, but that's besides the point. If you're going to tout something in my face as the hot new feature, it better work - especially in the tutorial.

My only negative is, that it's a bit time consuming.

Often my games get interrupted by real life (phone calls, door bell), so I have to surrender and lost points.

This is the biggest complaint I've seen about the card game. I don't care for it personally, but I'm curious why ZOS chose to make the games so long. Is it to boost log in numbers? To keep those currently on the server tucked away as long as possible so they aren't contributing to the lag? It would be nice to hear the reasoning behind making a single game last for half an hour.

    Other (please, comment why).
I don't dislike the game entirely, but there are features I don't like
Top complaint is the sheer mindlessness of working up the ranks through playing the three daily challenges.
I always win by a big margin, yet I can't challenge any NPC that's supposedly better until I get ranked higher.
So I will have to spend more hours of mindless playing until I can experience a challenge.
So I spend 45 minutes every day winning those three games without no effort simply to achieve a higher rank to hopefully play a game that's more challenging.

@ZOS_Hadeostry I disagree with this decision as players who "dislike the new feature tales of tribute card game" do not visit the Tales of Tribute part of the forum. Please put it back to the general section of the forum.

Quite the opposite for me. After the tutorial I loose by a big margin and I don't se a reason to waste my time on a rather time consuming mini game I just loosing anyway.

Adding new games inside a game, that's still bugged and have performance issues (hello, pvp) is a big brain decision.

This, except it's not the first. I gave up on a lot of activity a while back.

Didn't even bother to buy High Isle.

If this is an example of ESO innovation the game is in a poor state.

You can make your own poll.

I was going to make one now, but I can't think of different reasons to like it so I couldn't build that.

I am not sure it would add much value, but having a poll that says how much people like it might be interesting, though it would likely just be another argument between those who love it and those who dislike it.

I would also bet that those who like it read this forum more and any poll would be moved here and thus not cover the entire forum base.

I don't think a card game makes sense in ESO. ESO is a mmorpg not a card game.
It feels out of place and is immersion breaking.

I voted before I actually tried it. Now that I have I enjoy it. I thought it was just going to be a card game and was pleasantly surprised that there is a gaming hall and quests and competitive matches and furnishings and a houseguest. This makes it fit into the game better than I expected.

All of the above for me. I hate card games, never play them, not even when people begs me for it. When I was a kid I saw my parents fighting badly over stupid card games and I swore I would not play them. But now, they are in ESO. Why? Why put them in a MMORPG?
And the worst part? They are connected to achievements! And I am an achievement buff, so now I have to play them to get the achievements even if I hate it. And they even added more achievements to them, not only, but they are bugged and they are so difficult to get you have to play hundreds of games to get them. I think the only reason why you see some poor fellow playing this card game is because they are just like me: they want the achievement and now they have to go through the hell of playing the card game. I think they made the achievement so difficult to force players to play the game that otherwise would have nobody playing. Why? Because it is boring. I usually have to watch a movie while I play just to feel less bored.

And why do it? Why give it so much importance? There were so many other areas that needed development. Housing, PVP, and RP? Why not help people who RP instead. There are tons of RP guilds. How many card game guilds? NONE.
