Well i see the problem in the endgame Content like Raiding:

Want to join our raid? First become V10 because the items are stronger.

Thx Zenimax for not letting me play the endgame after reaching level 50.

Just out of curiousity - how do Dark Age of Camelot handle veteran content (given its similarities to ESO)?

Since level 50 isn't the cap then calling the VR content 'endgame' is clearly wrong.

But this is a console game, so who are we kidding.

Strange then that the console version has been delayed for six months. If it was a console game surely the PC version would have been delayed.

Grind for gear, grind for achievements, grind for stats, grind for rankings... you don't HAVE to be veteran 10 to enjoy the games features, just play and enjoy the content while you work your way up there.

The grinding in other "successful" MMO's is for loot, plus raids and PvP.

The problem is that level 50 VR leveling is NOT endgame. It pretends to be by calling the level cap 50 and the levels after that VR ranks. The problem is that you are still just leveling, only slower. The real endgame is VR 10. That is when you will be able to participate in the raid content that will be coming out.

For VR leveling you are grinding quests, not loot, and you can't even grind MoBs as an alternative. If that had implemented raids starting at VR1, there wouldn't be a problem. If you could level through alternative means, people might be happy to quest the other zones, instead they are forced to do every single quest because kill XP is so low that grinding MoBs is not a viable option.

The VR grind was clearly put in to slow people down to give them time to add the new content. Unfortunately it is turning a lot of people off. Many people that normally create alts in MMO's are not going to in this one. Not only have they seen all the content with one character, but they just can't bear putting themselves through that grind all over again.

That said, they have already said that they are looking into it, so hopefully they will be improving the situation sometime soon.

I have three alts which most likely will never venture into veteran areas. Not because I think the veteran area's are too much of a grind or because I had already done the same quests at a lower level- because I cannot be bothered going through the personal story over & over again.
It would be a refreshing change if only one character had to go through the personal story, which then automatically allowed alts to enter veteran content once they hit level 48-50.
