    Whiterun
I am surprised people are asking for Winterhold over Whiterun, ESO is almost 10 years old and yet the most iconic city from Skyrim is not even in it besides "Whiterun Hold" could connect Western Skyrim and the Reach to Eastmarch and the Rift without having to go through Blackreach.

It might be next years chapter as that will be the 11th anniversary of ESO and we all know about Skyrim and how it was released on the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year of the millennium.

How about somewhere new that did not feature in previous TES titles? It makes no sense to me that human cities would look so much the same hundreds of years later — some buildings or parts of a city, sure.

My favorite area so far in the Skyrim region is Blackreach as it is interesting to explore and has wonderful bioluminescent flora.

As @Northwold alluded to I don't really care about new chapters. If Nords are the focus though, please tone down the overdone stereotype portrayal of Nords as drunk imbeciles.

I agree with this in regard to every race! There are exceptions, yes, but too many caricatures IMHO.

I do like how ZOS has been including more than one focus most chapters so that if one aspect is not your thing, another might be. High Isle was distinctly lacking in this regard in my opinion as it was Bretons all the way, whereas Elsweyr had Khajiit (and one of the best new regions in ESO IMHO) and dragons and the Dragonguard, Greymoor had Nords and vampires and lotsnof Dwemer ruins, Blackwood had Imperials, some Argonian (although not enough to really add to their lore — I want to learn more about the culture that created the Xanmeer), and The Deadlands, etc.

    Winterhold
I think pre disaster Winterhold would be a license to print money for Zenimax...I'm stunned they haven't done it as of yet.

so like the islands south of Valenwood.
and the islands in the Eltheric Ocean like the Chain or perhaps Yokuda?

I think ZOS is listening today on these subjects.

Solitude made a lot of people react. The city being very similar 1000 years apart. Similar but improved that said. But similar.

Leyawiin had the same overall appearance. But the interior structures were quite different from TES IV.

Skingrad this year... Well it seems that we have some things back in their respective locations, but the city itself seems quite different and has definitely evolved.

All this to say that my feeling is that ZOS is finally listening.
And I think Whiterun in ESO won't be 100% the same as in TES V.

    Winterhold
Winterhold gets my vote because seeing Winterhold as a hub before it's near total destruction sounds like it could be interesting.

The College of Winterhold could be a nice inclusion in the future to provide more options with Spellcrafting (or Scribing.)

Although to be honest I'd rather we not get Skyrim related releases for a while unless they're dungeons, I'd rather they focus on areas that haven't been touched upon much in previous DLCs such as Redguards or Wood Elves.

    Whiterun
As much as I love the concepts that could be built around Winterhold, Whiterun has a special place in my heart. Definitely would prefer to see a Redguard based chapter before either though or even a chapter that just fully takes place in a plane of Oblivion instead one just being a secondary zone like they did with Apocrypha and the Deadlands.

I think many of us unanimously want a Redguard or Bosmer Chapter in the next two years.

Especially Redguard. Because bosmer will benefit from a little light this year.

But let's try to stay focused on Skyrim please. The goal of this poll is to understand what the community, and more particularly nords enjoyers, prefer the most between three potential main city hubs.

    Whiterun
As a Nord enjoyer who did answer the poll clearly, I also felt the need to clarify that my liking of Whiterun doesn't mean I'm sitting here hoping it's released next. Which is fair. Zenimax hasn't done the best job at balancing the focus of chapters and I'd hate for there to be a chance that polls like this could make that worse (not that Zenimax ever really listens anyway, but whatever).
But I would be most excited about Whiterun and owning Breezehome-
And this is how I feel, haha. But I'd be a bit worried about how Zenimax would handle Breezehome or if they'd even release it at all since in Markarth with Greymoor they didn't bother to do their own take on Vlindrel Hall.
Finally an opportunity to revisit and update Werewolves, Fighters Guild and possibly maybe even Vampirism.
I want this, just with Whiterun. I think it's long overdue for Zenimax to update werewolf especially and I think it's such a waste that they don't bother to expand upon current skill lines. I'll always be salty that Zenimax didn't use High Isle as a chance to expand/update the Mages Guild line and that vampires were not updated properly in Greymoor (didn't bother to update their appearance outside of skill VFX+animations and the changes were just not very good in general).

*facepalm* can you edit a poll answer? I accidentally put Whiterun but I meant Winterhold. Sorry, messed up the stats! 😆

Honestly I don't care too much about Nords either, it would just be satisfying to see Winterhold in a good state, fully operational and magical.

Just like it was to finally go to Elsweyr. Murkmire and Summerset too. I've really enjoyed when ZOS has done new things, shown us places that weren't explored in other games and developed the lore more.

This is unfortunately not possible. However don't worry. Winterhold is in the majority at the moment... Which, I must say, surprises me. I'm waiting to see the result on reddit and the FR forum.

Winterhold would be amazing! Would love to see more Nord Clever-Man magic at the College.

Would be okay with Whiterun too, but please no Solstheim. It's been done too mant times and there's amost nothing on the island at this point in history.
I would really hate for Raven Rock to be retconned this far back in time.

but i hope we'll get Winterhold and the Pale first, i really wanna see Dawnstar in ESO.

in TES V we can go to Solstheim via Dawnstar so i can see it being available in that potential chapter too.

though any Skyrim chapter would very likely have more Blackreach too so im not sure if that would all fit in a Winterhold chapter.

Would be amazing to see what happened to the college of Winterhold, or see what it was like pre-incident if the ESO timeline doesn't fit with the lore.

and with Dawnstar if its Dark Brotherhood sanctuary is already there it could have some new Dark Brotherhood story, Elam Drals could return again

    Solstheim
I personally think Solstheim (and The Hunting Grounds, if applicable) would be good candidate zones for some sort of factionless/teamless free-for-all PvPvE experience. In ESO's time, hardly anything is there, so it's pretty much just an extremely hostile wilderness. If anywhere, those places are the most fitting for a "survival of the fittest" sort of experience, so it'd be great to have some new PvP and difficult PvE content there.

I don't really think Solstheim is particularly fitting for a Nord-themed Chapter, because from what we've seen of the island in TES III and TES V, it's been more of a Nord/Dunmer/Imperial place. I'd rather see Solstheim in ESO call back to the Bloodmoon DLC in TES III, possibly serving as a prequel to those events the way the Gates of Oblivion storyline was a prequel to the events in TES IV.

Solstheim shouldn't have any dunmer or imperial stuff on it in the Second Era.
Dunmer don't go there until after the Red Year in the Fourth era, in-between TES IV and V.

it's Nord, specifically Skaal as the Skaal have their village there.
maybe there'd be bandits or pirates but not any extra settlements.

it's perfect for a small zone as part of a chapter with another bigger zone or just a small zone dlc.
Zos could even add it to the base game and add a boat to the Windhelm docks to travel there.

there are of course also Dwemer and Ancient Nord ruins on the island so if part of a larger chapter those could be public dungeon and/or delves.

    edited to add:
    there's also Rieklings.
and there's supposed to be Witches and Reavers.

there could even be Snow Elven ruins as they used to live there.
i dont remember if those ruins were also in TES 3 and 5, but sometimes ESO has more so it's possible.

It'd be cool to explore the remains of Vahlok's empire before it was all submerged by the ash - especially considering that unlike the other Dragon Priests he was a wise ruler who "inspired both men and dragon" and under whose reign was one of peace and prosperity. Though I don't see it happening so soon seeing as how he's connected to Hermaeus Mora, albeit antagonistically.

    currently we aren't yes.
but we don't know if that'll change nor when we'll actually get Solstheim.

it would probably be the size of a small zone and could still be part of a Winterhold chapter like Telvanni Peninsula with Apocrypha in Necrom.

And whilst zones can be bigger than expected, like High isle, i doubt Solstheim would be a chapter sized zone simply due to how the town would be the Skaal village.
