That dubious honor goes to the necromancers! Instead, Templar has vanished and necro got an... "interesting" change to blastbones.

✭✭Okay, so this is the second patch in a row where we’ve had weeks without even a line of changes for Templar.
There has to be something massive Week 2 or 3 because there are so many skills and morphs that desperately need a rework.

✭They deleted the one good option Templar tanks had for control from the game, along with the entire Tormentor playstyle.
That's your Templar change.
I suppose I'll just have to buy the new chapter so I can craft a control spell. And play my Warden tank instead for 6 months because I can't be bothered to deal with group finder pugs running around the room without any control.
Seriously ZoS I'm getting tired... It's been 10 years and this patch is just generally worse than the last one. I wish they'd just leave the combat alone.2 -

Still also missing further bugfixes:
-Corpses that are unusable still glow when Repentance/Radiant Aura is slotted, even though the skill is greyed out because it can't be used. This has been going on for multiple updates in a row and is at least the third time this bug will need to be fixed after having been fixed in previous years only to keep recurring.
-Cruel Flurry doesn't work properly with Radiant Destruction. Radiant Destruction's tooltip is wholly buffed by Cruel Flurry but only the last of its three ticks is actually increased in damage, resulting in only 1/3 the power budget of the set being applied.
I'm sure there are others, but those were quick to test.1 -

✭No class changes directly but they did massively nerfs the toppling charge ability by changing Tormentor set, my entire tank build wiped in one foul swift, sad day.
I guess we have AOE taunt coming with scribing so makes sense but could have waited to chapter update.

sneakymitchell✭✭✭✭Templar seems good on the spot. A lot of different buffs for itself easily. Some decent heals. Yes no good self burst heal but we got vigor and sets to help out. There is always one thing a class misses but it can be adjusted by using a different skill. Don’t forget this year will bring more new skills to the table. Reason why they wanted status effects to be more different cause how some can be the same while others can take effect already by another skill.

✭✭So, after hopping on the PTS today I can confirm that they fixed the animation to Sun Shield, but insisted that the word “Templar” not be used in Week 1, not even to reference a bug fix.
That being said, the whole skill needs a rework so if they took the time to put the animation back on it, they are more than likely leaving it useless.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I guess it depends on secondary buffs to templar. I need to download and play ESO again (wow classic has me busy lol).
Reading the patch notes quickly I noticed:
- overcharged (assuming templar dmg includes this). buffed by 106% and gives 65 mag on activate now. But necro uses this too.
- major defile now includes shields. Though this only applies if you are crazy enough to use dark flare and if you consider gaining 12% dmg shield reduction a decent buff while taking 6% less healing debuff
Most of the classes could use a really hard audit against a class identity template, IMHO. Access to things is a little TOO high to create a colorful landscape of game mechanics. Or if they had the data, just put out ESO classic using the 2014 designs and let us just play DAoC 2.0 all over again :P.Minno - DC - Forum-plar Extraordinaire
