ZOS Please reinstate the 1 Perfected weapons from normal maelstrom arena

Come on guys... this is an event...Please remove the hotfix and let people get a single perfected weapon drop on normal. Why did this need an immediate emergency hotfix when there's so much other stuff that you guys can focus on?
Again this is an event..Let people who otherwise can't complete vMA (for whatever reason that might be) have an opportunity to get the perfected weapons. you showed mercy when you allowed people to farm weapons on normal so please show the same during this event.

If someone can't complete vMA he/she really doesn't even need that perfected weapons in the first place.
Having the option to get non perfected weapons on normal mode is enough of a "mercy" and creates healthy enviroment by giving feeling of accomplishement and beeing rewarded for hard work to those who can complete vMA.42 -

That 1k pen is very often also completly useless. Not only all abilities dmg scales dynamically from the bar You're on not from the bar they were casted (so that additional pen will be active like 20-30% of a time and mainly for DoTs) but also in many PvE encounters it's really easy today to reach penetration cap which makes that 1k pen a dead stat.Edited by Galeriano on January 20, 2024 3:42AM1 -

You honestly can't say that. There are a lot of reasons why people aren't able to complete vMA.. that doesn't mean that they don't need it... If they don't need it neither does anyone else, and Zos should take away everyone's perfected weapons. I'm not trying to say that Perfected weapons should drop on normal... just that this is an event going on right now that involves in Maelstrom arena.also perfected weapons give a barely noticeable benefit. the most commonly used weapons apply 1k pen on the back bar. it's not a big deal.
Really? According to ESO logs says otherwise. People with top scores aren't using normal versions at all. Show me one top-scoring player who's using the normal version.

pretty sure they are saying they did it on vet "back in the day" and then when they added the perf versions they haven't gone back to get a perf version.
basically they already did the work but feel cheated by their non perf drop.

No, it does not impact anyone personally. By your logic, handing out trifecta titles via daily login rewards would not impact anyone personally either. After all, those who still want to achieve the trifectas by playing the content can still do it, right?Show me one top-scoring player who's using the normal version.
There is none, because the process of becoming a top scoring player includes the ablility to beat vMA. The weapon iteself is not the reason why they are where they are.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.19 -

If nowadays you can't complete Maelstrom easily (that's why I take from your words or you wouldn't be complaining) then I can assure you that you don't need the Perfected weapons for anything.

And as already mentioned, if you can't play endgame content, you don't need the perfect weapons. Apart from that, anyone can do vMA these days. With an Okensoal Sorc, it's a piece of cake. Anyone can do it. A little more effort, invest a little more time. Maybe get to grips with the game mechanics a little. I don't understand why people want everything for free. Where's the fun in that?

What's inaccurate about it? In one case you're literally not doing the content you're getting reward from and in the other case it's group of mercenaries doing your bidding for the gold you've decided to farm to get it.4 -

You can stretch it however you want, it doesn't make vet ma rewards a normal mode reward, no matter event or not.
First time they've diminished VMA were their decision to hand out weapons on normal, it doesn't need to be even more obsolete having special "vet reward days" on top of that. There was an argument that people need vet rewards first to complete vet content, it wasn't the case in reality but zos listened and made a change. Now you don't need vet reward of that kind, as it's the same one as on vet. Even I don't need it doing trifectas etc., didn't even bothered to upgrade some of my characters with new perfected ones as it makes no difference.4 -

Half right. I have since gotten my perf drop, but the grind for it made me salty about the whole situation all over again. The only thing that allowed VMA to be fun again was going for flawless because that hadn't changed. Which I have also since got. But choosing to grind out the weapons again left a bad taste in my mouth. And now, they just handed them out again, albeit on accident.
The way they handled VMA in the past has permanently turned me off the idea of ever having perfected drop in NMA tbh. I honestly also don't see why an event would mean you don't have to do vet for gear anymore in general. Cosmetic rewards, sure. But power is something players earn and use to compete with one another. It should be a reflection of the content they can do.7
