I got mine a few weeks back, but I very rarely see anyone else riding one. Personally I'm not a big fan of Nix-oxen but I was really happy they added an earnable mount in a chapter. Wondering why I don't see more.

✭✭✭✭✭I have it!the only really slow part of this achievement to me was doing 30 bastion nymic dailies, and this was before the changes to make them easier (before the changes for the less ichor and herald seeker nerfs)
i could easily see that being one of the most difficult parts of the required achievement, unless you have poor RNG with the mythic leadsplays PC/NA

I already have the normal Nix-Ox and use it from time to time. Earnable mounts are great, but aren't the requirements a bit exaggerated? Still missing the last antiquity lead for the Dwemer wolf, btw. Soloed and duoed DSC2 several times, never got the lead. Not willing to repeat this any longer so I'll might be lucky the 30th or the 50th time - or the 70th, or not at all. It's not worth the time for me.@Syldras | PC | EU

I also haven't finished the antiquities part yet either. I still need all of the dungeon-related leads. Unfortunately they're all from side/secret bosses or activities in DLC dungeons; I can't count on pugs being willing, doing them solo even on normal is wayyy too slow, and I only have one friend who still plays after U35. I'd feel kinda weird to join a guild just to farm these leads and then immediately leave.
Not to sound biased, but I would bet the quest part + antiquities part are the main reasons why it's rare to see (maybe a bit of people don't like bugs). The quest bug makes the quest part impossible, and there's a lot of RNG behind the antiquities part in addition to the fact that so many leads are from ''weird'' sources like the last secret boss of Coral Aerie.
I think nix ox are really cute so I hope I get it eventuallyIGN @ emilypumpkin

✭✭I don't want it.I saw that new Nix-Ox has nice glowing belly which can light large area around it. I like mounts with nice effects to entertain me sometimes, and I would collect this Nix-Ox as well - but only if it didn't require any work, because I wouldn't make much use of it anyway
I pre-ordered current chapter (due to certain real life reasons only) and I barely liked any pre-order cosmetics to justify the money spent - so I would expect to get this Nix-Ox mount unlocked by default to get more value.
I still don't have all Mythic items from Blackwood and High Isle chapters - and for one of them in particular, I am hunting the last lead for more than a year almost each day
I don't even hope for it anymore, but it happens to be contained in one of my favorite casual activities... It would be horrible if I actually needed that Mythic item. And I absolutely hate the idea of forcing players to farm leads to get zone achievement (which is required for this mount).
I have Nix-Ox War-Steed from old Vvardenfell chapter promotion. The mount's face looks scary and cool, and I named him Razor for his teeth. His riding pace is smooth and silent, but overall just one mount of such specific model is enough for me. Owning it really helps me with not wanting the new Nix-Ox

✭✭✭✭I want it but I find the requirements too hard.The requirements for the out of the way dungeon boss leads and dungeon treasure room lead for the Necrom mythics are WAY too inconvenient to get. Up to the point where it is just not worth it.

Maybe one day when im doing a random i end up with them but ive put it behind me and focussing on other things.2

Bastian Nymic is pretty easy even with a pug. They built it with the idea it would be pugged. The bosses don't need to be tanked and there's no extreme damage that needs to be healed. The mechs are mostly simple, like interrupt or don't stand in stupid. It's about on par with a Harrowstorm in terms of difficulty.
You also have to unlock parts by killing mobs, so you don't have to worry about people rushing ahead. There's no dialogue to be missed. The npc explains things before stepping in, so if you want to hear it just gather the ichors yourself and then shout a group after you've talked to her. So far, I've not had a single failed run. It's all been fairly quick. And the pains that come with normal dungeon rushing is not existent due to the gating of progress.Edited by spartaxoxo on August 1, 2023 2:21AM1 -

Isn't it an achievement? If so, it's guaranteed. The antiquities are RNG but you'll get them eventually and once you do, you'll make definite progress towards the achievement.Edited by spartaxoxo on August 1, 2023 5:00AM0
