    This.
Every time I ask in guild chat if anyone wants to do Bastion Nymics, everyone suddenly needs to wash the dog or mow the lawn. Odd things to be doing at 8:30 PM PST, but I try to keep an open mind.

Anyway, since I'd really prefer to do these with guildies than with puggers and randos, no, I have not finished this.

    Unsurprising.

Been playing since beta, bastion nymics have soured me on the game to such a high degree. A community event that all could participate in, now the domain of higher end endgame players only.

I used to do wb and delve quests (and world events) all the time in the new zones. And now I barely did them all once in Necrom. I just have no energy to devote to a game that I feel is taking content I enjoyed away from me.

I am currently moving long distance, and since I have no computer access I am on a forced “break” from eso, and I am finding I don’t miss playing it as much as I used to. Until starfield or phantom liberty ships, I really don’t feel I need to rush to set up the computer.

Let’s put it this way, I would rather play F76 now than eso, and it’s all due to bastion #%?!€#% nymics.

I really wanted it, but eventually found it too embarrassing to beg guildies for BN group every day (soloing is too hard, so too frustrating for me). Also, the lead dropping from a final bonus boss in a dungeon that I can't solo at all is just... no.

So I gave up short 13 BNs and 1 lead :(
Glory to you and your Dunmer House!

Still some Nymics left but almost there.

Might wait until the chapter event to get that tied up with a bow.

Fortunately they didn't add any ToT related conditions to this reward so I will get it soon.

i personally did not find the bastion nymics hard, just very time consuming (out of the 30 i did for the achievement, about 10 were done totally solo (with companion) or in a 2 person group (with companions), and purely for time consideration i got the other 20 done by joining randoms in zone chat who had nymics open and doing quest shares)

i would even switch toons to get more nymics done (thank you thank you thank you to account wide achievements) so i actually got close to 20 nymics done in about a week (doing about 3-6 per day)

i wouldnt mind helping those that have trouble with the nymics, but since ive finished all of the necrom content i dont really hang out in those zones too much lol

I ended up voting too hard but for me it's more like too tedious from the antiquities part alone. Would completely change if the leads were all from the standard, not secret, dungeon bosses; at least I'd be able to pug that.

Working on it, but I found many of the pugs doing the Bastion Nymics quest to be quite...harsh and unfriendly to others. Not to me in particular, but to other players new to the content.

It was just very unpleasant to see people getting torn down while trying to learn the mechanics of the puzzles. I do my best to help them, but the rest of the group is often not patient with any attempts to teach others, expecting them to know innately.

    Perhaps I've just been unlucky.

Thus I am now waiting for friends to grab necrom when it comes on sale, and will continue attempting to get the mount in a more friendly environment.

My experience with random groups for Bastion Nymic were all quite surprisingly good. I did get 30 of them. Sometimes I asked to do the puzzle but the group lead said he wanted a quick run so I was out of luck. Another time I got a group that specifically wanted to do the puzzle and I had already done the one in the area we got, but I walked them through it and they were a great group of players and they gave me a guild invite. Most times it was a quick run and everyone said tyfg and left.

I’ve done all the stuff in zone, not sure what is left for the mount. I think you had to do the trial on vet, and get the mythic too, but rng has not been in my favor and I haven’t had a good pre-made group for Scrivener’s Hall often.

The vet trial is not needed for the Nix-ox, that's for a different mount:

    the nix ox mount requires:
    • pathfinder achievement
    • achievement for doing all 3 dailies 30 times (nymics, WB, and delves)
    • fishing achievement for rare fish
    • complete all the story quests
    • dig up all 3 mythics (at least once)
    • the achievement for doing like 22 total quests in the new zones (most of the non-story POI quests)

pretty much all of the content outside of the trial, and it also excludes the tribute related achievements

i dont remember if it needed the companions either

I want it, but keep postponing the final grind because of how frustrating it's going to be.

Standing between me and Savior of Necrom are two antiquities whose leads drop from dungeons. Two from side bosses and one from special vault chests. My previous experiences with dungeon leads were mostly frustrating, so I'm not looking forward to this. Yes, I'm planning to start looking for them, but I can't help but procrastinate. The likely outcome, when I eventually find the leads, is there'll be three more dungeons I won't be able to stand. Which is a pity, since I like Shipwright's Regret Graven Deep, Scrivener's Hall and Coral Aerie.

Edit: got one of the dungeons wrong.

i think your thinking of graven deep lol

and that one is far easier to farm than the one in coral aerie

to farm the graven deep one, you just have to have someone in the group with you (they do not even need to go with you), you can stealth or kill your way to the first side boss, kill it, then PTE and reset, rinse and repeat until you get the lead

was able to kill that boss like 3-4 times in about the time it takes to run the entire dungeon

the coral aerie one the most efficient way to get that one is a group of 4 to speed through it, very annoying it was on the 4th side boss, and the drop rate was a little low (i got it on the 6th try)

the scrivener one i found to be pretty good chance, even from the small vault chests, you get a minimum of 2 chances per run unless you wanted to save your keys and knock out the scamp queen at the same time (i think ive actually gotten this lead a 2nd time now, and i havent used that many keys)

Oops, my bad. My luck with dungeon leads isn't the best (except when I've no idea a lead drops there, of bloody course). Lost count how many times I ran ICP for the Mora one and Maarselok for the sabatons (and still didn't get it). And thanks for the tips, especially the Graven Deep one!

ive heard the lead from the watcher boss in ICP is not the best, i was lucky with that and it only took a couple tries, but i know other people who are up to the 20-30 try range and still dont have it yet

i dont remember exactly how many times i ran lair of maarselok for that lead, but i dont think it was many as im still missing a lot of gear items to collect from there (i believe the lead is really bad when you finish gear collection without a drop lol)

on the graven deep one, technically any of the 3 side bosses have the chance to drop the lead, but if you didnt need gear or just wanted faster turnaround on farm, its best to just reset the first side boss
