Ive been playing ESO for a year and a half over two years.
But I have only seen this guy today. (Or Gal. Cant really tell.)
Has anyone else ever seen these?

That's incredibly beautiful. Hell of alot of detail on such a hidden Mudskipper. I found this going up the stream in Alinor and it was sitting on a bank down in the brick channel.
Nice to find these things I mean... no one goes up this river channel. No need to. Unless youre like me just curious.

I think I've seen Mud Hoppers before, but never really looked too closely at their detail. Always good to see some care and attention to detail given to the wildlife. :)

There's a lot of really pretty mud skippers when you go upstream from Rellenthil in Summerset. They seem to reflect the "local color range" of Summerset.

    They're certainly prettier than mudcrabs!

David Attenborough: Here we see a majestic, Spotted Sabre Cat from Western Skyrim. The primary food source for this animal are Skyrim's hearty wooden timbers. Unfortunately, this has caused major issues for local Skyrim residence as many Sabre Cats have taken to consuming the felled wooden bridges all across the southern reaches of Skyrim.

Recent treatment of the wood used to construct bridges has destroyed 30% of the population in the area.

I just bought this laptop while my main puter is in storage. Its quite a flying machine. But you need it to be with eso if you want the icing on the cake.
But this critter is al alone in a very inconspicuous place and its only the curioous who'd ever find him.

HE'S ALL ALONE!!!... :'( HE WANTS HUGS...

They need to put in some friends for him. :p

I just want to take this opportunity to celebrate when they integrate mobs/animals in with the terrain. It takes a bit more effort for the zone designers, but it really helps with the immersion. I stumbled on these Wasps in Galen and was surprise how they were skittering around on the rocks instead of just randomly flying in mindless circles. Also, there are Wasps flying through the tree canopy's! It really helps tie the design together and adds a tactile feel.

Yes, you have that jump scare hunger in a public dungeon in Morrowind. Do it on slow hours so others has not killed it.
Also love how some spigeans are immobile until you get close

I wonder how far we will be allowed to go regarding AI. Herons flying a bit too close to an Aligator and the Ali snapping at it as it panics and flies higher suddenly. That's what I'd aim for if I was a developer for ESO.
I'd also want A.I. that learnt tactically how to outsmart me a little better.
I think "Overload" uses this now and has for some time. The Bots know your pattern of defence/attack or something very similar and they try to outwit you.

I think we are more likely to find that in TES 6, rather than a MMO. That kind of AI processing just requires too much demand and throughput for an MMO game as opposed to a single client game.

Yes, I can't see that working in an MMO, because there would have to be a separate "instance" of the AI learning per player, because if the learning was subsequently applied to all players, then players that had never encountered that NPC before would then be disadvantaged.

A heron being snapped at by an alligator would be possible as a spontaneous world event. Games often use illusion in order to arrive at the same effect as reality, and it wouldn't seem obvious that it was a scripted event when you come across it.

At least until you see it a hundred times.

I love the wasps running on the rocks, it really gives them some more "personality" - as someone who has handled many different wasps this past year. That includes the gentle giant Cicada Killers, which I saw in a swarming behavior in the summer while many males were searching for females, and many females were dragging stunned cicadas along.

If I could design a world creature for ESO, I would go with an Orchid mantis. A giant one, with flower petal legs and a white and pink color scheme. In retrospect, would have been perfect for Summerset, but it could be in another exotic locale instead. I would animate their wiggly dance walk, their sudden turn of the head to look at you, cleaning their face just like a cat, fluttering their wings, grabbing a bug, going into a deimatic display with wings spread out and raptorials outstretched.
I simp for vampire lords and Glemyos Wildhorn

I actualy in Engand, found a Pinkn and white Orchid spider. It was sitting on some flowers in a lfower shop and a young kid was poking at it. I was REALLY sever with him though it wasnt my kid but it pssd me off this spiteful dork and I sent him away. When I looked at the sider it was about 2 inches across and utterly beautiful. inside a flower.

Now if that was in ESO and Im sure its possible, looking at the wonderful reactive flowers that are there (nothing unusual about eso "aware" flowers concerning venus fly traps in the real world and etc) it would be a real surprise t haave something drop on you from above though I dont know how youd fight it in zero proximity, sitting on your head biting you.
But, damn, that would be a shock to the oormal riding tranquility... NOW you have to look UP.....

No idea, I often don't notice those much. I've likely seen this fella before, but didn't pay much attention to him, same as I do with the other critter lizards I see, but this time actually noticed it had a different look.
