It's time for new class(es)

I would enjoy a new class if it doesn't steal from/dilute other classes. I have a worry of a bard/monk class because support roles are already watered down from what they used to be. I would not want to see buffs move to a bard such that a healer "just heals." Just.. no thanks.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

I say it's time for new weapons. We still have the same options since launch over 8 years ago now. Daedric Crescents or Illusion staves for example.

I'm not sure how to feel about another class. I have mained necro for so long, and only recently made alts. I feel like I'd rather have new skill lines to use on the characters I already have. That being said I think there's some good ideas others have had in terms of what new classes could be. Coming from WoW before this I'd say druid or monk would definitely appeal to me personally.

If they want a really good year next year, a new class and a new weapon line would be amazing.

Bard or Monk type class would be my vote. And an alteration staff, or 1h + rune skill line would be amazing as well.

It would be a pain to go farm the new weapon for the sticker book though, but still worth it for variety in the game.

I'll say this like I do every time an idea like this comes up.
Make all 18 class skill lines available to every character, but you can only pick any 3 per toon.
Elemental mage? Summoning healer? Combine templar, warden and necromancer healing trees to go pure healer, or sorcerer/warden/necromancer summoning trees for pure summoner. Templar's light magic mixed with sorcerer's dark magic? Dragonknight's earth and warden's green trees for a nature caster.

Elder Scrolls is not Dungeons and Dragons, meaning we don't have bards of the variety that plays music and sings to fight.

Bards are either: One, a musician, usually playing music in inns/taverns. Or two, a "class" name for someone who is of the thief archtype and uses skills such as speech, blades, mercantile, illusion, alchemy or such. They don't string a lute and stun enemies or call down a thunderstorm.

I'd like an archer who could actually fire arrows farther than about 40-45m. When I found out that was the limit, I stopped wasting my time leveling up the archery skills. It's just not a realistic limit.

MMOs tend to have defined ranges for range attacks, and that is how it should be.

Perhaps as in previous Elder Scrolls games the class was often just a starting point. Once the game progressed you could use any skills. As this is an Mmo with class restrictions I think it would be a good opportunity to envisage how a bard could evolve. However, joining the psijics or mages guild could give them the extra skills needed to zap people with magic.

Headbutt - Years of training have made your skull as hard as Rubedite. You headbutt your opponent causing 3,345 physical damage, and 6,285 Bleed damage. You have a 50% chance to stun your opponent for 3 seconds.

I would like hit zones for headbutts
=> hit the head = crit
=> hit the butt = erm...
=> hit something else = normal damage

But bleed damage only if you hit the nose!

Somehow more serious. Would unarmed combat be physical or magical?

Is it more like jacky chan style with fists, elbows, knees, feets maybe some jumping included? I dont think this would fit into ESO.

Or is it more magical? Fire / Shock / Magical fist. Magical block / barrier. Rush, something like streak (now for any class).

I was thinking more similar to the Unarmed skill in Morrowind/Oblivion.

Nothing flashy like in anime. But more just straightforward punches, haymakers, knee kicks, etc.
And since hybrids are a thing now, it would probably be a mix of magic/physical.

That being said, I doubt this would ever happen, but it's fun to imagine ;)

No. I'm not interested in new class anymore.

Well, once I try to build my second character as mag-sorc DPS.
But, I quit it finally. Stam DPS is better for most of the class.
Because it's more suitable fighting style for the action game.
Then, class difference is not so big difference, maybe DK is
    slightly better than other though.

If ZOS can build more action game friendly class, then I expect new class.
But, ESO itself is very "fake" action game for me.

Agree...but ESO distanced weapon is stupid automatic missile projectile.
So, those system will not realized in the ESO.

It's one of the reason that I regard ESO just as fake action game.

I'd like a bard class, 3 skill lines as usual: damage, buffs/cc and heals.
Unique group buff "Minor prowess" +5% Max Offensive Stat, Minor Toughness. Single target Major Heroism (only 2-3 targets at time).

New weapon skill line, for anyone, "magic instruments". Flute, Violin, Drums with specific buffs (see sword, hammer and daggers).
    Example:
Flute heavy attack: 10 sec group minor heroism
Violin heavy attack: 10 sec group major protection
Drums heavy attack: 10 sec group major prowess (+10% max offensive stat)

Just to break the resto/destro support meta.

Exactly. If you want to add new classes fine but let us choose to opt-in with different characters that we've already spent a ton of hours leveling. Nothing more to be said here.

Don't think there's an MMO I've played that had "realistic" ranges for ranged weapons. It's purely about game/encounter balance.
(like tabletop miniatures games where super-tech sci-fi rifles fired by genetically-engineered supersoldiers only have a range of 24" / 50m, and "artillery" has ranges under 200m)
In Oblivion I was able to snipe larger enemies at pretty impressive ranges as in far over 100 meter.
One fun tricks was to shoot from sneak and hide behind cover before the arrow hit, enemies did not knew who shot them and tend to attack neutral animals like mudcrabs or deer.

In eso having one class who can outrange trebuckets is an issue, also I guess it could be used to kill off lots of bosses
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

That's right. Class ability is almost meaningless in non action game like ESO for me.
So, new class idea is 100% meaningless for the ESO. Everything are just self healing and defense
with some damage amount. Combat in this game is just decoration.

I prefer more creative solo story quest rather than new class idea for the future.
This game is story based RPG anyway.
