Week 1: What is the WORST monster helm set bonus?

    @Dr_Con I guess since it is still a viable set in usage and this ranking is meant for overall worst set then no. But if you ever do a specific poll for the worst non-equipped view of a monster set description then by all means include it.

    @Jaraal My mag warden main still uses Shadowrend. Its damage may not be that great any more but it is still a fun set to use. Lets me have a "pet" without double slotting an ultimate. Plus who doesn't want to see Shadowrend vs Shadowrend fights in The Banished Cells?

    nazaray is like a staple of most good tank builds, especially when combined with turning tide for a very long duration major vulnerability lol

    proc turning tide, war horn, and boom everyone has a huge dmg boost lol

    so there are way way worse monster sets than nazaray lol

    Oh I basically only PvP. That's my perspective.

    More so after the nerf to LA in U35. Not that it wasn't dead on the water before, U35 just sank the corpse for good.

    This set is amazing if used in coordination with other sets such as Archdruid Devyric or Nunatak

    If used properly you can have a seriously high up-time on major debuffs.

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    Grundwulf and Thurvokun are my choices.

    It's extra galling since they come from DLC dungeons.

    EDIT: The Icereach monster set is also pretty bad.

    How has no one brought up Zoal the Ever-Wakeful? It requires you to be Stunned to do anything and for your preparedness you get ... a max of 200 Weapon/Spell Damage IF you have 6 enemies within 8 meters.

    In PvE, you cannot reliably count on this to proc, it's almost exclusively a PvP set. In PvP, you are getting gang banged by 6 players, get stunned, have to pay for the Break Free anyway, get rewarded with 200 Weapon/Spell Damage. Just terrible.

    If they wanted to fix this set, it should be changed to be a better version of the CP Ability Slippery. Make the Break Free automatic and no cost every ~20 seconds.

    Slippery
    When you are affected by a disabling effect, you automatically Break Free for no cost. After using this effect, you become Winded and cannot trigger this effect or others like it for 21 seconds.

    there are a lot of people who use it in pvp in combination with slippery as an anti-gank setup

    if they stun you from stealth, you ccbreak from slippery and at the same time stun the attacker to give you a few precious seconds to recover

    Not too bad in PvP.

    My perspective on all sets is almost exclusively for PvP so it's actually quite interesting to see which sets some see as good and some as bad.
