How are templars ? Someone told me they got nurffed lol. Im on console so I luckily get a few more weeks to complete some vet trials before it gets bad lol also how are NBs and Necros (My only other classes) for PvE ?
I don't use combat dummies or anything, so I can only say how combat in overland feels after the changes.
My bow/bow warden: didn't notice much of a difference. Takes about the same amount of time to kill mobs. Maybe a tad longer, but not enough to get excited about.
My stamina templar: Same. I play 100% in first person but switched to third to check out the new jabs animation everyone is complaining about. Didn't really see a problem with it, but as I said, I don't play in third person.
I'll try my frost warden later.
It didn't feel that my DPS had increased in any way. It's the same or a tad lower.
Is appears that the 3s/9s change to shalks didn't go through. Mine are still firing at 3s/3s and the tooltip says the same. I use Subterranean Assault. I'm glad they decided to ditch the change.
My pve characters DPS dropped too much to be playable.
I cancelled my subscription yesterday, because it was set to renew on the 22nd, glad i did.
I own the base game and a few Dlcs.
I'll still play my pvp characters, they are still playable.
I wont be spending any more money on this game.
As a sorc thats the worst patch i've seen, i feel dead inside

Well, quite a bit of the feedback is and should be opinion.
I ran the vet DLC and one of the new dungeons. As usual, the new dungeon was good. We went in blind on vet. Had fun. Its hard to compare it to previous because theres no baseline for that dungeon.
MGF, I could feel the damage loss. It wasnt terrible, but its also a well optimized group. Id wager groups like that will feel the change less than others.
I have no doubt that my group will continue to clear content. The problems that this patch present are these; Im afraid that this will negatively impact the way that we play the game. The reason being, we play with PUGs a good bit. The night prior to the patch we helped a couple get the MoS challenger, Fang Lair ND, and the DLC pledge. Its something that we enjoy doing. Running in with a well optimized group is fun, but so are PUGs, and we like both. This feels like its pushing more of a "go meta or go home" mindset. Groups will have to be more selective now, and thats unfortunate because its a part of the game that we enjoy. I cant remember the last time we have failed to complete a vet DLC or we have needed to even think about removing someone because they didnt perform well enough to clear it.
It will most likely correct itself, given enough time, but without a real road map and plan from the devs to get us back to the point where there is some stability, its leaves a sense of dread.
Secondly, it doesn't feel good. I know that comes off as blasphemous to the church of quantifiable data, but it doesnt feel good. I enjoyed the vMA two-hander, for example. Getting the weapons isnt the issue. I have every perfected weapon from every arena. The issue is that I liked using the one that I was using. Its not because its overpowered, its because its fun. Its still fun, its just not very effective in this content. It was nerfed a little too hard.
I feel like as a customer and a player I should look forward to patches. I don't. This feels more like watching the Weather Channel during hurricane season on the Gulf Coast than it does looking forward to new content. Content that got overshadowed by heavy handed changes with no real communication about them.
So to answer the question, yes, we managed just fine, but thats not the question that needs answering.
At the top of this forum there is a thread asking for harder overland/content... ZOS nerfs players, so everything is harder. And now that isn't good either. ZOS literally can't win. The issue is, barely anyone wants things to actually be harder, as harder just means more tedious, as some already mentioned above. ( Note: I'm against harder content! )

Haven't tried the new flurry yet, but I do feel the new templar jabs animation is off. The damage seems te register not directly on the hits themselves. Making it feel weird. After a while I simply ignored the visual completely. But it works like it always did, even though there is a slight damage loss. But this is coming from me, a terrible DPS player. (Completed normal vateshran hollows arena and normal dragonstar arena for endeavours, so quite the test.)
Haven't tried the new dungeons yet, probably won't for a long while. As I am working on other in-game things.
Instead of removing or massively changing existing things about the game, in the future it might be better for ZOS to introduce crutch-mechanics for the lower end players. Unnerfed oakensoul for example, but also an auto-barswap and an auto-light attack weave method. Stuff that won't alter the game, but allows everyone to be better. Yes, some might complain that the lower end will become closer to the higher end players. But ZOS should just ignore those types of players, they should have ignored those players about oakensoul as well. Some players just want to be the strongest and don't want anyone to come close, making for terrible balance and game decisions.
PS: Players are already playing this game, giving in to a whining few might change the game in such a way many might leave. As is the case right now with actually making things harder. Do not try to fix what isn't broken.

My family is done.
ZOS spent 6 weeks completely ignoring feedback from the entire community, again.
i wouldnt say they entirely ignored it, PTS week 1 was still way worse than the live notes (with 2 sec ticking ground dots that lasted 20 sec needing lot of recasts lol), but they definitely didnt walk back as much as they should have
i still see almost the entirety of the next update focusing on the combat fixes than the actual dlc release in terms of a players perspective lol
Ignored almost all feedback and straight up broke or rolled back certain things incorrectly for several weeks when they pretended to pay attention as well as not giving us the full ending patch to properly test even in the last week?
the amount of changes they did in only a few weeks when they already had a workload of fixes planned for those weeks was insane. i hate to think how much work and probably over time they had to put in after PTS1 dropped and it was made clear that they had totally messed it up.
I'm not happy at all with what has gone live, this is quite likely the worst update to be released, but they are doing their best and not intentionally trying to destroy the game.

I'm angry, sad, frustrated, BITTER.
I'm a mid-tier player with 18 toons, I play them all and I'm not changing my overall play style and set ups to chase Zos' flavour of the quarter anymore.
I have a 25 - 30% (or more) loss in dps. Here is what this patch feels like.
Oakensoul one bar build. Why use 2 bars, so many skills last forever now? While you are waiting for the timers to end, what do you do to pass the time? Heavy attack. One press and hold........ Light attack - feels like poke with the pointy stick, poke, poke, take a sip of coffee, poke, poke. I did this on my tank yesterday in pve. She now has as good a dps as most of my dps. BUT this is not my playstyle.
Back to two bar build.......... wait for timers, poke, poke, poke........hold the poke longer because poking is boring.
This, to me, is the worst update ever.
On a nightblade who used to average 18 - 20k damage on bosses (I said I'm not endgame) did 6-8k on average today.
I'll play cards for three months I guess, until I see if or when they roll this complete mess back (or revert)
Thanks for introducing the card game. Much more excited than heavy attack, poke, poke, poke, omg will these timers never end so I can hit a skill?
