The only thing I have noticed so far is having to update addons again. So much for the patch-pocalypse.

I can get use to being underpowered but if content is going to take me 2-3 times longer to complete then I wont be playing a lot of content anymore, sad truth.
Hopefully qtr 4 DLC contains fixes, either boost damage or reduce mobs health to compensate.
this is the thing people defending the update keptt trying to say "it makes it more challenging" , no it doesnt it just make it take longer as long as you can pass dps checks because of the merfs (week 1 was a heavy indication that this was not possible for some of them). challenge is related to skill , not how well your class does in dmg.
There will be a "Don't cancel your sub" hotfix soon

Where do you see buffs to the low end in all of the U35 changes, outside of the statement of intent? Looking for specifics.
I assumed it to be a sarcastic post.
Clearly "low end" players, who will have far more difficulty adapting to the losses in damage and healing, are more affected by the blanket nerfs than "high end" players.
I also assumed it to be a sarcastic comment.
However, I suspect that a lot of players would lump me in with the "low end" players, and so far I'm honestly unable to tell much difference in how my Stamblade and Stamsorc mains are performing.
I think the degree to which the changes impact each player will probably have more to do with how they normally play. If they normally use HAW or MAW, they might not notice much difference. Actually, even someone who normally uses LAW might not notice much difference if they don't normally use tightly-timed rotations designed to generate maximum DPS.
Also, one's AP distribution may influence how much of an impact they notice, since (as I understand it) damage is now a flat number rather than scaling off of your Maximum Stamina or Maximum Magicka. Assuming they went with a flat number that's somewhere around the middle, someone with 64 AP in Stamina or Magicka is likely to feel nerfed, someone with 64 AP in Health is likely to feel buffed, and someone with 32 AP in Stamina or Magicka is likely to feel that nothing much has changed. (If I've misunderstood how the "non-scaling" damage works, would someone please explain it to me?)

Well, for me, no sensible change noticed. But I'm a casual PvE player, rarely doing dungeons and not doing trials. I suppose that probably, for players like me (who are probably a vast majority), U35 has no big impact.
Skill bar is Fetcher Infection, Sub Assault, Power Slam, Arctic Blast, and Mystic Orb.
What are your thoughts about the 3s/9s delays on Sub Assault? I can;t see using that at all for anything less than a trial or "Especially hardy vet boss". I'm going to have to replace that with something a little more rsponsive. Ooops, nm, I read bad info, it's 3s/3s My old rotation was giving me about 55k peak now down to 45k and sustained 35k so I was hit pretty hard. Going to take some work to get that back (if I can)
I am (was?) a Bow Stamplar BTW, so pretty much 100% opposite build from youI think ZOS are undergoing an identity change.
Ha, they may go through another one here real quick if they alienate their whales with such huge slaps in the face after all the money they (we) have put into this game!

Literally this. In any game bullet sponge enemies are neither fun or challenging, they're just tedious, and that's what reducing the DPS makes enemies in this game much more like.

From a main Warden the changes seem ok. I thought Oaken Soul would have been relegated to the depths of a storage coffer but it is still very usable. The extended duration on Fetcher Infection is welcome. The same treatment for Arctic Blast and its focus now being more damage oriented with a great heal is a real win. Mystic Orb restoring Mag and Stam is a nice change too. Testing Deadlands Demolisher, Orders Wrath, 1 piece Trainee helm, and Oaken Soul on a trial dummy rendered 57k dps. I'm sure this could be increased with different sets. It isn't exactly a high output build to begin with but its about 10k more than pre-update. Skill bar is Fetcher Infection, Sub Assault, Power Slam, Arctic Blast, and Mystic Orb. Arteum Broth food. Runs about 32k stam. The passive change to penetration vs 2% damage will come in handy as well. Its 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other really.
Haven't loaded my Templar, Necro, or Sorc yet. Will be interesting to see the differences as they run high output sets. Hopefully get on tonight and check. Not overly worried to be honest. Changes come, changes go, changes stay. I think ZOS are undergoing an identity change. There will always be ups and downs until it is solidified.
adamsmith42 wrote: »Have to remember that ZoS changed the dummies... Minor courage, major slayer, a whole lot of pen and full EC have been added to them, so that 10k improvement is not an apples to apples comparison.
the amount of changes they did in only a few weeks when they already had a workload of fixes planned for those weeks was insane. i hate to think how much work and probably over time they had to put in after PTS1 dropped and it was made clear that they had totally messed it up.
I'm not happy at all with what has gone live, this is quite likely the worst update to be released, but they are doing their best and not intentionally trying to destroy the game.

What did you find bad about them? I solo'd 6 dungeons today for the weekly endeavor and didn't notice anything different.

8 years after release, a software product should be stable, only needing refinements.
ESO however is not stable at all, and every 3 months customers need to relearn the product.
Finally with U35, considering the number of customer complaints and lost customers,
customers do not have confidence anymore in the ESO combat system.
Just soloed an easy dungeon (Spindleclutch I) with my overland 2h/bow stamsorc. (Plenty CP - unless they have reset it again - whatever cheap gear made some sense few years ago when I was still actively soloing dungeons + Pale Order and I being rather forgetful how I was supposed to rotate.) No problems, but it was slow enough to be annoying and I kept running out of stamina, final boss fight in particular.
Whatever they have done did not make casual experience any more fun. It's still easy but more tedious and boring.
