I can agree that there is lack of solid grouping / guild tools available. Or in general community tools.I really hope the devs focus on groups and group interaction. That's where this game really has a chance to shine. The blending of single player/grouping and instances is just a mess right now. If they can't get that right (which they don't seem to be able to) then they should just sacrifice the other play styles and put the focus into groups.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of single player ES games but we'll always have those for single player. ESO has the chance to be something different and if something's gotta give then the focus should be on groups and multiplayer. It is after all Elder Scrolls Online.
I kind think he means that u should be able to group up for the solo stuff if you wish, even if the person helping u doest get any financial or loot reward. and this i AGREE WITH. tHIS IS AN MMO AFTER ALL. cant believe how anti group this game is ;p;p still i enjoy it. Although I have unsubbed and will chk it out again after a few months. Too many game breaking bugs for me at the mo ;(Moonscythe wrote: »Apolloswillnub19_ESO said "I also believe there should be no Solo content in the game."
Why pick on solo players just because bots are irritating and your wife is unhappy? That seems extreme.
Me and my son played. My only problem I have is OPS number 1. BOTS! OMG never seen so many in every dungeon. My son said "don't don't go in any dungeon or you will not want to play any more. HAHA I canceled. He was so right.
When I cant do a quest or just a silly achievement "hinders" cant find where I have to put up with that in tos. Anyway. My son got to 50 and thats not playing 24/7. He still plays wow. He has tons of 90's yet canceled that thinking this would be so much longer. He was so shocked at how easy it was to get to 50.
Granted when he got to 45 or so had to grind to 50. He quit because going back to some other starter zone.. please no one (dev) thought this out.
Anyway I want to keep playing yet nothing is being done about bots. That use to be just mostly in dungeons yet now are all over NPC that just re-spawn.
For ME it is by far the most easiest mmo to date. I get 15 or so greens every day I am now getting blues.. its to easy. I do miss the old days of World of Warcraft by that I mean where it took me MONTHS just to get that blue haha. I can craft anything. I dont need an auction house for I can get all I need every day.
Wanted to add: And by far with bots.
As someone who plays this game at a very slow pace and takes this game in, and places almost entirely solo, I can't agree at all with your "no solo content" part of your post. There are those of us who like to take our time reading every quest and doing random things, exploring, crafting, looking for lore books or picking herbs, beating poor innocent netches to a pulp, etc. and we shouldn't be punished because people like your wife have little patience and need someone to hold their hand the entire way through.
And if I don't know her that well, I have very insightful people on this forum, telling me, why she feel as she feel. Thank you for saving me a lot of money in couple counseling. You know your wife better than people on this forums so you should be able to find things about it she will like. Plus if she's given up so quickly over such ridiculous reasons then maybe the game itself is just not for her, in which case don't badger her to do something she doesn't want to do.
Thank you?? I think?? Not that I ever mentioned we were bored or had any problems with bugs. But I guess, "thank you" is the polite answer here. That said, how many classes and weapon types has she tried? Did she try all of the factions? Maybe she needs to just go out on her own and explore things and discover what will keep her interested. Maybe she needs to come back later when bugs are fixed. I started off as NightBlade with Dual Wield and Bow. I played this on beta and loved it. By the time I hit 20 I was bored of it so I re rolled. I tested out a sorcerer for a short period and the second I found the DragonKnight, put a 2H/Staff on it, I found my character and I happily played through the same content a second time (at a much faster pace). Some people just need to find their class and weapons..
Yeah, something we agree upon. Nice.I do agree on the phasing/instances though. For example not being able to get help with a boss because my friends are ahead of me on that quest is pretty silly. But it does encourage talking in zone chat and possibly making new friends to get something done. It has it's pros and cons, but overall I think that is something then need to (and will likely) revisit.
We are, and have done all this time, and still having problems. You can also make a set of characters together that you only play together. Never take one step ahead without the other. You could set it up to always be on the same quest together. There will be times of solo dungeons but you just wait outside the door for each other. This will prevent phasing issues. It is a rather restrictive method but as I said, I feel they'll revisit the current setup.
I hope that is me *smile*.I hope she finds something she loves.

I did only pve till lvl 50 and decided to finish al the dungeons but discovered that your unable to search players/group for any dungeon below your level. The dungeons simply dont show up in my list. I dont know if its bugged or intentional but its something that needs to change. I need to use chat to find a group in order to get the dungeon completed wich makes no sence. Lets hope we get better grouping support.

I actually agree with you and would prefer that Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games put more focus on actual multiplay. But they don't, at least not in recent times - and prefer to cater to the odd crowd of gamers who like to solo-play on multi-player games.
It doesn't make much sense to me either. But these types of gamers must be in the majority because they have successfully changed the genre dramatically to suit their own play-style during the last decade."
(Yes, I know there is a quote function but I didn't want to quote the whole thing and I'm too lazy to figure out how to excerpt.)
The thing that bugs me about the "It's Multi-player!!!" people is that they seem so angry about solo players when most solo players have no problem with people who want to play together. I'm in this game because I am an Elder Scrolls fan not an MMO fan. Many of us are. That means we have a solo play mind-set. Give us a chance and we might like MMO but the crowds and bots are a real problem for someone like me who likes to go wandering in the wilderness alone just admiring the scenery. Isn't there room for me to do that without someone gleefully telling me how fast and awful my death will be if I ever set foot in Cyrodil?
Your comment gave me an interesting idea. They could have the HP/damage etc scaled down to the level of the dungeon they queue for so it was as if you were on a proper level character.
