Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Reporting boss bots is easy compared to this...

I stumbled onto a place where bots in soul shriven robes were appearing, hitting a quest object and then teleporting out. At times there are more than I can report. They just never stopped coming. Hoping a GM can stand where I am and click ban on each one.

Edit: NEW VIDEO without bot names shown. I just wanted people to get an idea of what the bots are doing so they can easily identify them and report them.

Video wasn't posted with the intent to shame the people I'm reporting in it. I posted it as more of a "look out for this type of garbage" so people can report it as they see it. It's easy to overlook if you're not aware of it.

Also, reporting something like "swarm of bots" on one account isn't going to cut it. I wouldn't be lying when I say I've reported about 100 of these in the past couple hours. I was bored.

I see it ALL the time.. go to the CE Treasure map location in Daggerfall area. Right next to the altar, you can literally watch as they port in by the HUNDREDS, loot something, then port out. BY THE HUNDREDS.

That's funny, that's exactly where I spotted it while going for the treasure map chest. The video in the OP is from that spot.

Swarm of bots everywhere. The problem is they have the quests automated to level the bot to the point they want it, probably changing dungeons regularly. I just saw a large group of bots doing the mission I was on. The phase in, do what needs to be done and phase out at a speed that was one doing the interaction while the next was phasing in. This would also mean they are porting to where they need to be rather than travelling.

The numbers I saw were far beyond being able to report but a small fraction of them. I do not stream but did get some SS that I am about to pass onto support. The speed and numbers I saw just on this one quest was absolutely over the top. They are only there a few seconds.

What is the point of you posting this?
    The TOS police?

You should report them ALL!, not just the ones you allow him to.

He didn't name anyone, so get off his case.
He displayed a video of bots teleporting, an exploit in action, he is trying to help.

It has been proven by a bunch of people that name dropping a ZOS tag in forums, has been far more effective than the in-game report, the ZOS forum people forward the thread onto people who can help.

Here's some short clips I grabbed of bots running missions. The last one has some nice teleporting.

the point is it's against TOS to post any name or video with names of players with suspected suspicious activity
I was warning him and others.. just like everyone else is

it be pretty sad to get an account locked for reporting in this manner - that's the point

I want the good players that report cheaters to stay and the bad cheating ones gone

as for reporting withing game it works and within minutes if there is a substantial problem in that area

If we were talking about real players then I would agree with you. In this case it is obvious that this swarm of bots with their random generated silly names are not real and this cheat is a huge organised "smash and grab". The naming and shaming rules should not apply in this situation and ZOS shouldn't be closing down these threads on the behest of fanboys.

These is serious and the only way to combat this is if there were real live contactable GM's who could come to your location to witness and deal with it on the spot.
  • ttwinklerub17_ESO
there are real GM's you contact - they are on chat and you can use report-

I just seen a recent post from ZOS - they want exploits/goldsellers/bots to be reported in game

I am being serous - Im spending a good chunk of time reporting the bots and gold sellers as fast as I see them

and Im seeing fast results usually - all depends on the amount of reports that come in - more troublesome areas first

it's already made a difference in one area

    Whatever..
Bots are Bots, he's not reporting players.

You can't name and shame a guy with a name of "sdfasgd".
Just back off with the TOS police garbage, let the forum mods handle it, unless you are one on a player account.

Easy fix, Zeni just needs to release a similar code and let everyone do this, lets call it what it is, "Bampf"ing, that way we are on an equal footing with the bot armies.

Or a GM could stand exactly where I was in the video and hit each one with a ban hammer. It's what I wanted to happen while I was reporting them all. I was asking in zone chat for a GM to come to my position, no response.

Another stunt, one level 3 in jail rags will stand at a node and keep harvesting over and over again. No one else can get that node and it somehow is respawning every other second or so. I've reported 2 of those so far that I've seen.

I logged back in to the same place today to see if the bots are still doing their thing, yup. Anyway, bored of reporting them, I decided to try and get a couple of them killed before they could teleport out. Anyway, I discovered something interesting, I got the Bloodthorn guys to kill the bot, but then the Bloodthorn Incendiary morphed himself into a 'Soul Shriven' bad guy I've never seen before.

I wasn't aware that enemies could steal your identity/clothes/body after they kill you.

Everyone knows how the system is suppose to work, and from the post count on these threads everyone can see that either the system is severely broken or there is an integrity problem. Threatening to ban someone for reporting an obvious cheat leans towards an integrity problem.

Perhaps he felt that in absence of a ZOS response shaming was a viable option to getting something actually fixed.

I report, on average, 25 harvesting bots every day. ZoS isn't doing anything to stop them (several are the same bots I reported 5 days ago).

Go the Fort Arand Wayshrine in Stonefalls. I guarantee there will be at lest 4-5 visible Jute-farming bots. And another 1-3 invisible bots.

Then pop in to Emberflint Mines and see the 7-8 bots camping the boss.

They are always there, despite constant reports.

If ZoS wanted to they could stop it, or at least manage it. But they don't want to.

I actually felt like these bots weren't worth my time in editing the video to remove their names. For one thing, because they're obviously bots, and another thing, I bet those characters have already been deleted and replaced by another jibberish named bot doing the exact same thing.

I posted the video because I felt like other players in the game would benefit from seeing exactly what it is these bots are doing now. With that knowledge they could identify and report the bots as they see them.

Don't sweat it, I technically broke their code of conduct, then I'm sure twinkler up there made a point of reporting my post.

I just wish they would react in the same timely manner for the hundreds of bots I report.
